K8N neo3 hangs and restarts

Hi, i have a problem with the k8n neo3 mainboard, it restarts and hangs randomly. These problems occur randomly with no visible pattern.
The pc is composed of a Sempron (palermo) 3000+, two pci cards (sound and network), a pair of Samsung ddr 400 memory, a radeon 9500 AGP card plugged into the AGR slot, and an outdated 300w atx1 power supply.
There is another problem too, some usb devices from the external ports when plugged at start don't work until they are re-plugged when the OS has been fully loaded.
What can be the cause of these problems?
I think that it can be some incompatibility with the agr slot or the power supply is not cappable to supply enough power.

Just to be sure, run your system with just one stick at a time (try both sticks of course) and see if it still hangs. If it doesn't hang with just one stick, then it's a memory issue or your mobo doesn't like those RAMs in pairs for some reason.
If either stick alone still hangs like before, try swapping in RAM from another computer. And if using another computer's known-to-work RAM still hangs, then it's pretty conclusive that it's not a memory issue.
Costs you nothing to find out, so I'd check and make sure before exploring other options (like replacing the PSU).

In the search window, if you can, search for "com.apple.finder.plist". Trash it, and restart.
If you can't do it, put your machine in Target Mode, and connect to a buddies machine. Search for, and remove, that same file.

you need to perform a master reset on your phone since the normal reset wont do it. but be mindful that when you do master reset, it will delete all of the contents of your phone memory so backup your data first on the comp and use ovi suite, visit these website for assistance on backup https://www.nokia.co.uk/ovisuite and click on how to. then once the backup is finish, dial these code on your phone *#7370# and lock code is 12345. it will get rid off that error message and then restore your backup file again from the ovi suite.

Passport keeps hanging and restarting itself

Dear all,
I got my Passport from Amazon.de for couple months!
A recent week, I saw it keeps hanging and restarting itself frequently, even I accessed to Text message, Photo, Video, Instagram, ...
I did a Factory reset, it did not help
I did a Wipe, and even worse, it was hanged and restarted jut at initial setup steps (guesture testing, adding account, etc).
Now, it is on 10.3.1.1779 (newest OS)
Please help me, don't leave me alone!

Phone heats up, hangs and restarts due to problems with the media index.

A few times a week my phone heats up, hangs, and goes into a restart loop every few minutes, which drains the battery quickly. After some research in the diagnostics app I have come to the conclusion that it is the Media Storage app that hangs. I see spontaneous restarts in the android.process.media process every few seconds. A work-around is to go into settings, apps, all apps, media storage (Lagring av Media, in swedish, or android.process.media in android) and clear data. This immediately stops the problem, but then I usually need to reboot the phone manually once to get it to rescan all media again, since all that indexed data was lost.
I suspect that my sd card (SanDisk microSDXC Mobile Ultra 128GB (Class 10)), with 90GB of MP3 files has somehow related to do, or at least makes matters worse, although I haven't tried to go for a week without it. The media data is usually around 50MB, when I clear it, this quickly rebuilds, until next time...
The media storage index seems to be prone to corruption, and/or one or more processes reading or writing is corrupt.
This is a nuisance since if I don't catch it rebooting right away I can be without battery quickly.
So, even though the fix is easy now that I've found it, I would rather not have the problem at all. Worst of all, is when this happens when I'm in a call, or when someone tries to call or text me, but I don't notice, since the phone is hung. Also there is nothing wrong with the phone, this must be a software issue, where an error isn't handled correctly.
In the early days of researching this problem, I did a factory reset, which actually cleared up some other issues I'd had with bluetooth connection in the factory installed software (even though it was of the same version). After this I waited to install any apps, and just went with standard vanilla android and sony apps. Still the same problem occurred after a couple of days. So it isn't related to third party software either. I see lots of posts online which detail this workaround, some as old as a few years old, but none with a real solution.
Help please?

I recieved a reply from Sony Xperia Care support. They suggested removing the SD-card to see if that helped. Fingers crossed I have now gone three days without acting up. The next time it does I'll try removing the sd card and see if I can break the record of seven days without a problem.
They claim that it can be a hardware fault with the SD-card (highly unlikely in my opinion). Or a corrupt file on the card. I have only used the phone operating system and the Sony PC Companion application to transfer files. None of them have warned me about corrupt files. Also, if I can go seven days without a problem, why not eight? It's not like it acts up every time I access a particular file. It's just random, and rarely when I'm doing anything that access files on the sd-card.
My guess is still that the media storage indexing is buggy. It's much more likely that the storage index is corrupt, than a file, for this behaviour to occur. Note that I work as a software test officer, with 25 years of IT experience, so I have a vague idea what I'm talking about.

E4G hangs and restarts

Hello,I have a problem with my Xperia E4G phone, it sometimes hangs, then display goes off, and after a while it is restarted automatically - rebooted. First time, this occured immediately after couple of seconds during first setup of system in wizard - after first boot. So no user app installed, nothing changed yet. Then it happend 2x next day. For another 2 days it was working properly and then it happend again - freeze, display off, restart. It occurs randomly and obviously it is not app related. Has somebody the same experience? Is it bad phone - HW problem? Or is it related to some preinstalled SW or system itself? I read similar complaints of some users on some eshop forums, so it seems to be not so rare issue.Should I send it back to seller or is it known issue and some SW update is planned?Thanks.

Hi,I am very disappointed, phone is still freezing and restarting... 1 or 2 days without any problem, then next day it froze 4 times!!!Absolutely randomly and unpredictable - I hope that the service can reproduce it. Hard reset, repaired via PC companion, no SIM, no SD card inserted and still freezing. Update 25.0.A.2.14 not available yet for my phone (why? it was released one week ago). 15th of June I sent email to Sony support describing the problem, ack received, registered as reference number 1-19634598669, but no reply yet, for 10 days, really great support. I would have to send it to service. Protection glass (that I bougth for it) will be lost with this broken phone. I regret I bought Sony phone, I was using HTC and Samsung phones and there was no problem with them. I have tried Sony and it seems to be big mistake. Interesting HW configuration, interesting price (E4g), but poor quality. But thanks for the experience......

I had purchased Nokia 500 a month ago and the performance is really bad.
The phone hangs and it just restarts automatically . When I had purchased it, the reception was very poor and when I searched in the nokia support page, they had asked me to reinstall the software. I had done the reinstallation 3 days back and now I am still facing the restart problem .
The phone just restarts or hangs. Sometimes I have to take the battery out to force the restart , otherwise the phone just stays in the hanged state.

We're sorry to hear about all the trouble you've had with your Nokia 500. Try to reset your device by dialling *#7370# followed by your security code (the default security code is 12345, unless you have changed it). This will wipe all data off your phone, so it's best to first backup your data using Nokia Suite. After your phone boots up, restore the backup, but remember to untick settings in the restore prompt box.
If the issue persists, we would advise you to visit your local Nokia Care point and let them have a look.

Blackberry z10 hangs and restarts a lot

OS: Blackberry OS 10Model Z10
Model Number: STL100-3
Software Release: 10.1.0.273
I have also tried 10.1.0.1880 all problems remain same.
I am new user to the blackberry family.
I was very exited to use Blackberry Z10 but there are many small bugs in the phone.
I thought that they will get fixed after update but last night i updated phone with 10.1.0.273 but majority of bugs remain same with my case.

The rebooting issue is a known issue. 10.1.0.2342 was rumored to have fixed it but I haven't heard for sure what the consensus is.
When the phone heats up and battery takes a hit it usually means something is running in the background. Download an app called "Advanced App Manager" and run that and see if there any applications running that you can kill.

K8N Neo3-F and high system temp.

I just bought a new retail K8N Neo3-F (7135) from one of the closing CompUSA stores. The problem is that the System temp in both the bios and Core Center reports higher than my cpu temp. Right now my cpu temp is 32 deg c and my system temp is 42 deg c. I've seen it get as high as 50 deg c. Now the board came with the 1.6 bios. I have tried the 1.7 and currently running the 1.8 modded bios and still no change. Does anyone know if this is a known problem? If so is there a fix or does my board need to go back to MSI. Thanks

Ok the system temp refers to the nf4 chip. That makes sense now. I thought the system temp refered to the temp inside the case. The fan is spinning fine with a rpm of 6250 according to Core center.

Hanging and Restarting device

i have blackberry curve 9300 from 3 months and it was very good mobile phone. But a few days ago it is showing some problems . When i open my text messanges then it freezes my mobile phone and restarts it automatic. My mobile is not bearing any time of application when i open any application of my mobile even Music or video player it shows same problem . I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/reload, "Bare Bones" OS Reload Diagnostic Process, etc. To prepare for any of these, please start by reviewing the backup link in my auto-sig on this post...you will need a good local backup of everything discussed in order to proceed.

This sounds like it could be a media issue, is the media stored on the internal storage or an SD card?

My mbp always hang (black screen but still keyboard light)(snow leopard and lion) and self hang and restart(mountain lion), How can I do? (I report problem to apple for 100 times but no reply)

K8N Neo2 sound and restarts

i have had several restarts after loud crackling noises from my speakers. This first happened when using a microphone with messenger and today Half Life 2 crashed and rebooted.
I have reinstalled drivers and checked cables. Moved audigy 2 to the bottom slot and reinstalled Direct x 9c but cant find a cure.
I have the AGP lock set at 67.
I have lowered the FSB to 217 from 220.
Everything is fine until sound is involved.

Is the MSI NX6600LE TD256E incompatible with MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard ?

I have a very ugly problem here. I have an MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard here, that with PCI Express and AGP slots.
It was working fine for a while, so I dont think the mainboard itself is bad.
Originally, an Inno3D Geforce 6200 with Turbo Cache, was installed on that computer. However, in the past week the owner buyed a copy of Battlefield 2 to have some fun, he also buyed an MSI NX6600LE TD256E PCI Express graphic card to replace the Inno3D Geforce 6200 with Turbo Cache.
I got that PC here today, in order to install the new MSI Graphic card, and also install the game. Now comes the ugly part: I cannot get that card to work in that computer, and I don't know why.
At first I thought that the card was defective, so I took it out of that PC and installed it on my own PC, and the card works in my PC (see signature), and my PC's graphics card works fine on the other PC (the K8N Neo3). Even the old Inno3D card works fine.
Since the card works fine in my PC (I've used it while writing this post), and my PC's graphic card works fine in the other PC, as well as the old Inno3D card, the only thing left for me to think is that the NX6600LE TD256E card is not compatible with the K8N Neo3 board, but that seems too strange for me.
Can any one here tell me if there's some kind of compatibility problems between the MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard and the MSI NX6600LE TD256 Graphic card ?

The card is compatible with the board. What was incompatible with the card, was a little chip in the board (fried) which I didn't noticed during the first inspection of the board.
Curious thing is that it accepted other cards and not the NX6600LE, but in the end, not even my own NX6600 card, or any other PCIe card worked at all. I guess the little chip suffered some kind of damage due to power problems in the place where the computer was. With this in mind, an electrical technician will be sent to the place to verify the electrical installations for problems of any kind, so we can correct them and prevent future problems.
Back to the board thing, a new K8N Neo4-F board has taken the place of the semi-toasted K8N Neo3 board. Also, and thanks to the hibrid design of the K8N Neo3, we will still be able to use it. The PCIe slot is dead for sure, but the AGR Slot still works well, so we'll use it for traditional desktop aplications, such as word processors, internet surfing, e-mail, document scanning and printing, etc, etc, etc...
Well, that's all. I just wanted you guys to know; so no one keeps looking for an an answer to this (now solved) mystery. For me this case is now closed, so if no one is interested into it, Admins... feel free to delete the entire thread
