K8NGM2 working with AMD64 3000+ problem

Hi
I have a K8NGM2 working with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Processor. It is woring at 1800 Mhz and i can´t set it up to work at 3000. How can I do it? Since the setup of the BIOS do not save my changes.
I´m looking forward for an aswer.

that should be a sticky something for the hall of fame
hugoar, like dr stu said, the AMD A64 3000+ runs by default at 1.8GHz. the 3000 after the name is only a marketing designation for the CPU which shows that the CPU will have the same performance as a Athlon Thunderbird overclocked at 3GHz.

- Is it a 4G iPod? That model sometimes mates poorly with dock because the configuration of the iPod by the dock connector is different that other devices. Thus, make sure it is fulld/seated in the dock.
- Have you brought the iPod and dock to the Genius at the an Apple store.

Working with 2 displays problem

my system is :MacMini i7 , osx 10.9.3
I work with 2 displys one is via HDMI the other with mini disply port .
the problem is : i use the 2 displys as a deferent viewers not as a mirror displays .
BUT i can see all my programs in the bottom of the BOTH displays !
i can open them from both of displays ,
also the top of both displays are the same view . the check box of the displays window is not in a mirror option !!
any suggestions to fix that ?

What does your Arrangement window look like in the Display Preferences...?
You sure your not in Mirroring and using two different Spaces...? Check to make sure that Mirror Display is unchecked.
Your not running any third party Menu Bar or Dock treatments, are you...?

Unable to Connect to WiFi after iPhone power off; WiFi & internet are working with MBP; common problem, no solutions?

Here's my setup: Internet <> Comcast/xFinity supplied cable modem <> new Apple Time Capsule <> iPhone 4 & MacBook Pro (see below for hardware details)
Internet on my iPhone 4 has been acting slow since yesterday evening. My MacBook Pro was running fine, but just to be sure I checked the Comcast website to see that I have only used 50GB of my allotted 250 GB of data for the month, so it's not that.
I decided it must be a problem with just my iPhone, so I opened up the multitasking bar and quit everything in there manually, and then I held the on/off button, and slid the slider to power off. When I started back up, I could not connect to the same WiFi I had just been using. I tried to reconnect and nothing. I tried to forget the network and try again, nothing. I tried to reset all network settings, nothing.
I have tried all the steps listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398 "iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections"
Toggled WiFi off and back on
Made sure I am in range of the router (it's about 8 feet away and my iPhone reports full signal from the network)
Made sure all the hardware is connected and on
Checked other devices (I'm successfully connected with my MacBook Pro right now)
Checked for router firmware upgrades (I have a new Time Capsule from Apple with the current 7.5.2 firmware which I've been using for a month)
Restarted my device (again)
Checked that the network is available (it does show on my iPhone)
Restarted my Time Capsule
Checked my router configuration as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3727 "Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network" which involves simply checking to see that WMM is turned on, also stating that WMM cannot be enabled or disabled for Apple's AirPort products.
Reset my network settings (again)
I have searched and searched for fixes to this problem, and I have additionally tried:
Enabling/disabling Airplane Mode
Disabling any network password protection/encryption (no luck), re-enabling it (no luck)
Changing the network password
Checking for hardware addresses present in iOS Settings > General > About (they are present and not zero'ed out)
Switching Bluetooth off (nothing) and back on (nothing)
....and probably a few other things I can't think of right now
I have yet to try:
The "Freezer Trick" which apparently involves chilling the iPhone to get a temporary fix?
Restoring the iPhone (I would really rather not)
A different WiFi network (other than my own Time Capsule home network or guest network, both of which give the same Unable to Connect error)
So, after all of that, are there any more ideas? Is there a reliable solution to this issue? So far I've just seen a lot of "mess with the settings," "the freezer trick worked," and "blame it on the iOS 4 update."

iPhone 4; iOS 5; 32GB; AT&T; no cellular data plan (July 2011)
TimeCapsule6,113; Firmware 7.5.2; 2TB (September 2011)

Ugh. Apparently "messing with it" is still the answer. I decided to try the LinkSys router I was using before I bought the Time Capsule, and my iPhone connected with no problem.
I went through the steps again, and after rebooting my Time Capsule this time, I can connect again. The troubling thing it that this started with a power-off of my iPhone. No changes or installations, just a reset. Am I going to have to reboot my Time Capsule (which has no power switch, just a cord I have to unplug) every time I reboot my iPhone?

I read some of the post here and understand that 2.4/2.5 G clock speed is so easily achievable with this CPU. However, I have no such luck.
Set-up as my sig below.
Well, the highest I can go(Stable with Prime95) with this set up is :-
1. 240HTT 1:1 3-4-4-8(2.75v) 2T x9 4x Stock Vcore
or
2. 260HTT 166 3-4-4-8(2.75v) 2T x9 3x 1.55 Vcore.
I tried :-
1. 240 HTT with 1T 3-4-4-8, Prime95 fails after 1 hour....
2. 245 HTT with 2T 3-4-4-8, Prime 95 fails after 37 mins.....
3. Anything above 245 HTT 2T 3-4-4-8,1:1, can't even boot into XP, keep on rebooting (Not blue screen).
4. Anything above 255 HTT 2T 3-4-4-8, mem at 166, Blue screen with IRQ_NOT-EQUAL bla..bla..bla
I don't intend to go lower on my mem as it will seriousl effect the overall performance.
Idle temp is around 35c and load temp around 44c.
Anything higher will failed. I tried with even 100mhz devider, x5, 1x and raise all the volts to the maximum that BIOS allow. Still no go.
Now, may I ask, am I pure unlucky ? Or did I do something wrong ?
Sorry if I post anything stupid. I have been building computer since XT time and this is the first time I use AMD CPU.

Seriously though - that disabling agg. timing ought to be in a sticky somewhere for this board, if it cures a lot of ills.
I'm not sure what it is, but I'll bet it has something to do with that "dynamic overclocking" or whatever it's called. Just some junk that the marketing people threw in, I guess. Any tweaker worth their heatsink would never use it in the first place...

I'm wondering wether WinXP 32bit edition works with AMD64 CPUs...
I have a MSI K8T Neo-FSR board with Athlon64 CPU, 2x Apacer 512MB PC3200 memory (in bank 1&2, PSC chips) and 2x 80GB Maxtor SATA HDDs stripped (RAID 0) oo the onboard VIA SATA Raid controller...
I had a lot of problems installing WinXP on the raid hdd with a lot of bluescreens (i couldn't even format the hdd)etc but somehow i installed it with newer sata raid drivers (v.310e from viaarena), then i installed SP2 (somebody talled me it should be more stable with SP2 on a Athlon64 cpu) and it seemed to work...
Later on i figured out it's not stable at all.. sometimes, mostly when the coputer starts or was started a few minutes ago, or by booting windows it just crashes and restarts. Sometimes i can see a fatal blue screen saying 'irq not less or equal'. Right now i'm reinstalling the system because after such a crash i lost the registry.
Can this happen because the windows is 32bit? Do you have similar problems?
Or can this happen because of incompatible memory or low PSU? I think there's a shity 300W thing... I tried a 500W PSU and also other ddr sticks but seemed to have the same problems..
Sorry for bothering, but i haven't found any topic saying 'when this happens it's because of this...'. Thank you for any ideas...

The 32 bit WinXP works well, as does the WINXP 64 bit edition, a 300W PSU is to light, well normally, it depends on the AMPS on the 3.3v, the+5v and the +12v lines, anything under 18 amps on the +12v will not run well, if it starts at all. If you have multi drives and a powered Vid card, then you will need between 24 - 30 amps on the +12v.
Are you also using an IDE drive, formatted on another machine?
With SP2 you are best to slipstream a CD, much cleaner install. With installing SP2 after XP, there seems to be problems with some devices.
Do you have anti virus, Firewall, and spy sweeper loaded?
Is boor virus protection enabled, you could have spyware or virus.

Transitions don't work with tracks

For some reason transitions don't work for me when I have them on tracks. For instance, Ive set a "dissolve" transition to occur at the end of Track 1 as it moves to Track 2. Instead, it simply jumps to the next track with no transition. Transitions seem to work with menus no problem, but once a track is involved, they stop. Im using DVDSP 4.
Anyone have any insight?

Hmm... you \can do this if you really need to... but you have to do a bit of jiggery pokery.
Take the last frame of your footage in the first track and open it in photoshop. Export it as a still image and take it back in to DVDSP, and add it to the very end of the video in the track. Adjust the length of it to be about 3 seconds and highlight it, and now add the transition you want.
The length is critical - the transition needs to take place using some of this image as the material. If you use a short transition you can use a short span for the image. If you don't, you need to extend the image. What this means is that your user will see the still for longer than necessary if you get this wrong.

How do I get Thunderbird to work with Apple iCloud?

I've tried everything and I can't get iCloud to work with Thunderbird.

The problem was the two-step verification process with iCloud. Basically, if you want to use Thunderbird and iCloud together you have to generate an app specific password when you log into the Apple ID website. Here's a link that has the instructions. Microsof VX 3000 or 6000 Webcam does not work with Lync 2013 under Windows 8.1

The problem is that i cannot use the Microsoft VX-3000 or VX-6000 with Lync 2013 under Windows 8.1.
If i go in settings under Video i can see the preview from the webcam just fine, so it works there no problem.
Wenn i try to enable my camera in a conference it does not work, i get an error: Your video cannot be started.
Now, there are no Windows 8.1 drivers for the Webcam so i installed the latest Windows 7 drivers. Because of that this webcam does not work with apps, that is fine i understand the driver problem and the way the new apps work.
But this Webcam works with skype under Windows 8.1 and it works with Lync 2010 client.
The same Webcam works just fine with Lync 2013 under Windows 7.
Is there anything i could do so that i get this Webcam to work with Lync 2013 desktop client under Windows 8.1?

According to your description, it may be caused by driver.
You can try to install the latest version of Display Driver to fix the display issue.
Since there is no driver for Windows 8.1, I suggest you wait for updating.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.
