K9A2 CF - Post hangs on Overclocking features have failed
System Hardware:
MSI K9A2 CF-F Ver. ??? doesn't say on board
AMD Phenom 9600+ @ 2.3GHz - @ stock settings
4 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800 @ stock voltage and timings
MSI GeForce 8500GT (silent) @ stock settings

2 x WD5000AAKS - 500GB SataII in Raid 1
1.44MB Sony Floppy
2 x Asus 20x DVD-R/W DL w/Lightscribe
problem: every time the PC boots up I get an error on the Post screen that states Overclocking features have failed Press F1 to go into Bios or F2 to resume. I have never Overclocked this board or any hardware on it. I have checked to make sure that nothing was accidently o/c'd in Bios
Cool n' quiet - disabled

manual O/C - all stock settings
HPET - disabled

everything looks to be normal in the BIOS. I have tested the ram using OCZ memtest86 and all 4 gigs have been tested individually in slot 1 to be good. then I took 2 sticks and tested in slots 1-2, then other 2 sticks in slot 3-4 and tested pairs individually = good, then all 4 sticks at once = good. tested the PSU = never fluctuated on any of the rails. I am stumped. I even upgraded the BIOS in increments from version board came with all the way up to 1.7 (current) and still happens. Is this a bad board?
any help would be appreciated
~D~
henry,
Good catch on the ram speed. I will check that out. I have built many PC's with 4 x 1GB and none of them have had problems but, none of them were using K9A2 CF boards either.
Thanks,
~D~

If it is Ver 2 it would more than likely have a sticker K9A2 CF V2 covering the onboard printed K9A2 CF name and a heatsink on the CPU VRM MOSFETs. Somewhere there's a thread with pictures. As far as I know none of the -F MBs have the -F printed on them.
Someone else will probably verify this but I think you need to slow down the RAM from 400 to 333 when using 4x sticks. Do you get the same error if only 2 sticks installed? It would be better to use 2x2GB instead of 4x1GB

Some Gmail features have failed to load due to an Internet connectivity problem.
This error message comes up both using Firefox and Chrome when using G mail. Also if it works at all,
switching from compose to draft just takes very long or keeps working.
No problem with G mail using Internet Explorer or Safari.
I have used Firefox for many years & want to go back when I can solve this Vexing problem.Thank you for your help.
I reset Firefox, re started and wanted to answer using G mail with Firefox,
and the same error message comes up.. When it does the screan gets
very lite with the error message on top.

Does the K9N6SGM-V (MS-7309) 1.11 BIOS have any added overclocking features?
I have the K9N6SGM-V with the 1.8 BIOS. I am wondering if I update to the 1.11 BIOS that is offered at this URL: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1086 if it will have any added overclocking features. I would really just like to increase the FSB on the X2 Black Edition CPU I currently have installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
RHHQuote
if it will have any added overclocking features.
No, and for these kind of mATX Boards, the chance that such options will ever be included is close to zero. They are not really intended for overclocking in the first place. -
I have firefox installed on two computers. The desktop does not show the split screen, but the laptop does. I have checked the posts and I do not have fox splitter add-on but still get the split screen when I click on a second site.
Right-click that bookmark and select '''Properties''', then un-check the preference for '''Load this bookmark in the sidebar''', and then click Save.
Using JavaScript buttons on web pages for "Bookmark this Page" causes that preference to be selected when saving the bookmark in that manner. So, don't use those buttons, use the "Bookmark this Page" feature that is built into Firefox instead. -
Neo4 platinum post hang ide problem
elo

i bought a neo4 platinum that was working fine.
i was on another pc and noticed that neo4 dropped from irc .....aaaaa asleep ill wake it up burn a cd to listen to
anyway it hung so i resets and it hangs on post
d-bracket lites tell me its a floopy controller error
anyway in desperation i pull all from it but 1 ram stick 1 hard drive mouse and keyboard and it boots
so i start putting bits back in all ok, till i plug in the dvdr then post hang
i plug in a spare cdr i got and it hangs
i try differnt cables both on dvdr and cdr neo4 still hangs on post
i do a manual bios update without ide in and all ok till i put in a dvdr or a cdr (any cable) then again post hang
ive tried differnt keyboards mouse ram gfxs even cpu (many tnxs to alot of friends)
it always fails on post with a dvdr/cdr in the ide (any slot)
any ideasQuote
ok heres the spec

3.5 ghz athalon 64

2 x 200gig WD sata2 drives raid 1
600 watt enermax psu
1x LG 16xdvdr
1x gainward 6600gt
if you're overclocking, as you say 3.5GHz Athlon64....maybe that's your glitch, as SATA drives will do funky stuff at those speeds...not sure about your IDE though. I would say to check enabling of IDE controller in BIOS, or check jumper configurations on the back of the optical drive! -
I'm not sure if I am writing this in the correct area (this is my second attempt at posting a question), but I have a comment about a recent store experience in Sandusky, OH. I am not a current Verizon customer, but I was visiting friends and we had to go to the store to get something taken care of. First off, allow me to compliment the nice, new store. Boy, its changed over the past few years ago when I was in last. My comment is mostly directed to one specific employee. When we entered the store, we were "welcomed" by a sloppy dressed gentlemen (his clothes were probably two sizes two small), which really struck me as unusual because every other employee in the store was dressed really "casual" with nice sporty clothing and red shoes. Either way, after being entered into the computer, the gentlemen told me to wander around or have a seat in the back and someone would be with us soon. As soon as we walked away from the door, the gentlemen handed his "duty" off to another employee who took over welcoming people coming in. For whatever reason, I felt glued to him as he stood out to me. After leaving the door, he immediately went to the back of the room, hunched over a cabinet, where he stood for the next 30+ minutes playing on his phone, frowning and not speaking to anyone around him. Again, I found this unusual because everyone else was overly friendly and smiling. I finally decided to walk by and see what he was doing. It appeared that he was texting someone. He paid no attention to me whatsoever as I walked by, just continued to frown and text on his phone. I did take not of his name tag for future reference. His name was Justin. I am assuming he's the manager of the location as he was just standing around while everyone else worked. I do understand that managers aren't necessarily doing the "dirty work" of the employees, but he could have at least found some better fitting clothing (I find it hard to believe Verizon doesn't supply it), been a little friendly, pretended to be busy, and not been texting the entire time we were there. Again, the store was great, the other employees were very helpful, but the manager seemed to be doing is own little thing and it didn't put off a good image for the rest of the store. Just wanted to share my comments.

What features have been deprecated for Photoshop CS4?
Hi,
What features have been deprecated for Photoshop CS4?
I am taking a class and part of the homework was to use the pattern maker. I searched every drop down menu looking
for something that was removed from the standard install. Eventually I located the plug in and pattern maker is working,
however I am wondering what else was removed.
Thanks,
akI think pattern maker was removed in CS3 from my memory. In CS4 Extract and Contact Sheet were also removed. These are still accessible by installing the plug ins from previous versions
Exactly WHY they are removing these things from the standard install? because there are certain portions of the development staff that are becoming obsessed with what they are calling "bloat'. There was a brief period (Photoshop 6 to 7) when certain "New Features" like Extract and Pattern maker were introduced, looked like some kind of sideline - they honestly were not put together, or thought through very well. So now they are removing them. -
Hi,
I have a web service call. When I it is pointing to an accessible URL it works beautifully. If, for some reason, the URL is unreachable, e.g. behind a firewall, the PDF displays the yelleow message bar with the message,
"Some features have been disabled to avoid potential security risks. Only enable these features if you trust this document."
and gives you the options to trust the document once or always. Obviously, if the URL is unreachable, then trusting the document once or always, isn't gping to help.
If it wasn't for the yellow message bar, I could present the user with a friendly message by trapping the NetworkError exception in the SOAP call, but why do I get yellow bar messaage? It is totally confusing.
Can someone explain it? Am I overlooking something?Hi charl,
Make sure the option 'Allow multimedia operations' is checked:
Also check by disabling the protected mode of Acrobat/ Reader:
- Uncheck 'Enable enhanced security'
- Turn 'Protected View' Off

Crystal Report Server - Schedule reports have failed.
Hi,
Recently, several scheduled reports have failed with the error message "server error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: SMTP_E_TCPSOCKET_SEND(3)". It happens randomly, to different reports at different times. Can anyone let me know what information does this need to troubleshoot. Thanks!
SenthilHello Senthil,
I recommend to post this query to the [BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration|BI Platform; forum.
This forum is dedicated to topics related to administration and configuration of BusinessObjects Enterprise, BusinessObjects Edge, and Crystal Reports Server.
It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
Also, all BOE Administration queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

Labwindows CVI Full featured OI fails to start
I've done a deployment installer for Teststand-2013. On one Target PC( Windows 7 64 bit) it works fine. But on another target PC starting the Labwindows/CVI Full featured OI fails to start ( screenshot attached) with an Error -145 when trying to load testexec.uir . Both targets have Windows7 64 bit and Office 2010 installed. How can I find out which Active-X control is missing/damaged on the second PC ?
I've allready found http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/9894BE2B832B7FDE86256ECD00041172. But Office is installed and the ActiveX Control Pad is deprecated and incompatible to Windows7 64Bit and no longer available from MS.
Solved!

Fehler Teststand.png 31 KBThere are no custom commands. It is launching the Operator Interface after the panel with the checkbox, where you decide if you want to activate now. We choose to activate later there. And it also launches the OI when uninstalling.
I'am attaching the .tsd file, we are using. This installer should only include stuff , which is common to all teststations like the OI and Teststand Public. So it doesn't include sequences and other files, which are specific to one teststation.

Is there an issue with the hitachi hard drives in the MacBook Pro's ? Got a 15 inch and a 13 inch at the same time and both drives have failed in under two years. I have heard from a few other people with same issue. Other drive I have had have lasted at least 5 or more years.
there is a dylib you can put in the springboard if jailbroken but if not you have to find an apple store

Every now and then (every 15 minutes-half an hour or so), my internet fails. It says in the Diagnostics that the internet and server have failed. Happens on my sister's mac as well. Is this our modem? Our PCs don't do this so it has something to do with the macs.
Hi Patrick,
I'm starting to think it's either an AirPort card issue or something to do with the Mac OS. I have stopped using wireless as much as possible in my home (have wired up several new Ethernet outlets), and it sure is nice having Internet run at the speed it's supposed to all the time, and with no drops. Might be something to consider.
In the meantime:
Open System Preferences > Network > select AirPort > click on Advanced > TCP/IP > Configure IPv6 > Off > OK > Apply > Turn AirPort Off > Turn AirPort On
Open System Preferences > Network > select Ethernet > click on Advanced > TCP/IP > Configure IPv6 > Off > OK > Apply
(FOR LION: If you can’t see an option to turn ipv6 off, set it to link-local only.)

I have failed to Map the Airport time capsule to my windows 7 HP laptop, i followed all the installation steps and i get the error message "Access denied, you do not have permission to access this device, contact network administrator"
Did you install the airport utility for windows?
Is the windows computer set to home as network location.. it will not work if it is set to work or public.
Is the TC setup with all SMB type names, short no spaces and pure alphanumeric. No apostrophe.
Can you ping the TC from your computer? Open a command window and type ping and the tc name or its IP.
No response you will never be able to get connection .. it is usually firewall problem. Turn off firewall and internet security.
If it pings then simply type the IP directly into explorer.. \\TCIPaddress. (eg \\10.0.1.1 if the TC is at default)
That is usually the most foolproof method. -
