K9AGM2-FIH: "PS/2 mouse not found" - BIOS setting?

Greeting,
Every time I boot my system, the BIOS on my K9AGM2-FID board complains about not finding a PS/2 mouse and asking me to hit F1 to continue. I'm using a USB mouse and keyboard.
I can't find any setting in the BIOS where I can deactivate the PS/2 ports. Do I need a new BIOS that has this setting, or is it already there and I have missed it? I've looked through every single screen...
thanks

have a ask MSI about that:

Will do. A BIOS update (to the latest 1.4 version) didn't help. Wondering if it could have to do with the fact that I have a media center keyboard with built in mouse...

  • RS480M2-IL - problems with "PS2 Mouse not found"

    Hello!
I bought RS480M2-IL motherboard. The first strange thing was the post about "not know processor", but i have fixed by upgrading it to the 1.4 version. You should to know also that I have USB mouse. When I am starting my computer I can see the post which says: "PS2 Mouse not found". It is a very big problem for me, because I wanted to run a Jabber server on it. After restart it won't get up. Is there any clue or something which will fix it? Don't tell me, that I must wait for new BIOS version.
    Thanks for help  :azn:
    Regards.

    RS480M-IL = s754
    RS480M2-IL = s939
I assume you have the s754 version because s939 bioses start with 3.x.
I have the same problem using bios 1.4.
This is a bios issue that hopefully will be fixed in the next bios version.
I found a temporary workaround though. Go into the bios --> Standard CMOS Features --> Halt On --> [No Errors].

  • Microsoft mouse not found

The wheel failed on my old Microsoft 4000 mouse, so I got a new one. Old one worked fine with Microsoft Mouse software. New one, I plug in the little USB dongle, turn on the mouse, and the pref pane reports "No Microsoft mouse devices found". I've tried every combination of reinstalling and what have you, and still it won't be seen. Any advice?

OK, I gave up and, after spotting this somewhere else, installed USB Overdrive. This did exactly what I wanted.
Which, I should have explained better to begin with, was to have the buttons on my mouse mapped for use.
The mouse did work in basic mode with the "Mouse" pane of Sys Prefs, but what I couldn't do was to have the "Microsoft Mouse" software see the mouse, and therefore allow me to map the buttons. Despite, as I said, all the combinations of uninstalling and reinstalling the MS software I could think of.
Anyway, as I say, I gave up, because the delightfully simple yet effective USB Overdrive has done the trick. I booted MS Mouse into touch. Quite why it worked perfectly well with my previous (identical) mouse is a mystery.
Thanks Illaass for at least offering help.

  • ThinkVantage fingerprint error 7210001 (object: clsid-not-found(CID_HomePassport::Set))

    Hi
    I have a Lenovo W520.
When i want to open the thinkvantage fingerprints.
There is the followed message: Error 7210001 (object: clsid-not-found(CID_HomePassport:et))
And i can't do anything, the window is empty.
    How can I fix this?

I have the same issue and nothing I can do to fix it unless they replace the fingerprint reader (whole plam rest). After wasting so much time, I got a reply
    [quote[
I went through about 2 fingerprint readers this way. the best I can figure out is there is an odd issue with either bios or the embedded controller when it gets turned off due to low power in certain situations that causes the frimware in the fingerprint reader to be corrupted somehow. This only seems to happen when you have the swipe to power on feature enabled. I would get that reader replaced and then make sure the first thing you do is turn off the swipe to power on feature in the fingerprint software. My 3rd reader has been solid as a rock since I have done that. I hope this helps.
I would forget about trying to recover the reader BTW. I tried everything and even sent the readers to lenovo and they weren't even able to fix them when they were in this state.
I have an idea as to what is going on but lenovo was not able to re-produce this problem on their end. either way you should be golden with that feature disabled, once you have a new reader installed.
http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T530-Win7-Pro-Fingerprint-reader-doesn-t-wo... should tell you how to disable it.
after saying all of this I do want to make it clear that I am happy with my T530 over all. It could have used more LEDs for keyboard and ultrabay and battery state in the front and an eSATA port. and a way to route the miniDP port through the intel HD4000 when using integrated graphics mode. and it would be 100% perfect. but despite those things I've been very happy with it and how well it works with Linux. and I've had no problems with lenovo support. I even just got a 4 year extended warranty with acidental damage protection today.

  • Logitech bluetooth mouse not found on restarting Mac Pro

    hi
for some time now I have been using a logitech V270 bluetooth mouse with my Mac Pro which has a bluetooth 2.0 card installed. all works fine except that when i restart my Mac Pro the mouse is generally not automatically detected and i get the 'bluetooth mouse setup' screen with the message 'there isn't a mouse connected'. i then need to press the reset button on the mouse and go through the usual connection procedure.
i wonder i anyone has any advice as to how i can get this set up so that the Mac Pro automatically connects
    thanks

    Hello all -
I found a solution to this by using Bluetooth Explorer. I had previously tried this and it didn't work, however I realized that I was using an old version of Bluetooth Explorer! When I downloaded the newest version from apple, it worked like a charm and I was able to select which Bluetooth adapter I wanted to use. Switched it over to the USB dongle and it works perfect now. No more skipping mouse, woo hoo!

  • Mouse not found

I have been away for a few days, and my iMac was not used immediately before leaving. I came home to a dialog box saying my mouse needed batteries. I replaced them the same way the old ones came out. My mouse still will not respond, so I shut it down and restarted, and now there is a dialog box saying the wireless mouse is not discoverable. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I've not used the iMac that much yet, so I do need help. I cannot get to the info of the exact operating system now, but I recall it said X something. Thanks a lot.

Plug the mouse directly into the Mini. Doesn't sound like the keyboard is passing the appropriate info back to the Mac.

  • Keyboard n mouse not working on setting user account of win7

    hi
    i have problem
when i wnat install win7 on my macbook air 13"2014" after working with bootcamp and boot windows when installation finished my mouse , keyboard not working to setup an account

You do not have the correct BC drivers installed. You need a USB2 flash disk. Download drivers appropriate to your Mac from System requirements to install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp - Apple Support and Boot Camp: Install or repair Boot Camp drivers.
If your hardware says BCA in the table, use BC Assistant, check Download Software option only, and build the drivers USB.

    hi aneeqazam92,
As of now, there's no BIOS flash utility available for the Lenovo B570e (only the main repair center of lenovo or authorized service have access to tools for BIOS modifications if the public BIOS flash utility is not available).
You can try to remove the HDD (see page 47 of the hardware maintenance manual) and try to press F2 again, if it doesn't go thru, you will need to clear the CMOS settings (I recommend you let the lenovo certified technicians do this since you're still under warranty).
As for the battery, the replacement is covered under the limited standard warranty. You need to call lenovo support on how to go about getting a new battery.
    Hope this helps.

    hi aneeqazam92,
I see that IPnaSh is already helping you out. In addition, have you tried holding the F2 key after pressing the power button to access the BIOS? Sometimes tapping F2 doesn't work and you need to hold it for a few seconds.
Regarding the battery, if you're getting less hours than it was used to be when it was brand new (i.e. you're getting 4-5hrs before but now only 30mins-1hr) then there's a big possibility that the battery cells has already worn out (this will continue to deplete until the battery is totally dead - this usually happens over time if the computer is used more than 10hrs a day). For the replacement of the battery, you need to call lenovo for service. Support phone list here.
    Hope this helps.

  • T43-"Operating System not found" woes

Hey all first time post long time listener, got a t43 thinkpad that will not boot and gets the message,
PXE-E61 - Media test failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F - Exiting Broadcom
    Operating System not found
First I checked BIOS and found that it was not recognizing hard drive, turned off broadcom, switched around startup hardware, etc etc and nothing still "operating system not found". Set everything to default, again same thing. Then I took out hard drive, and re inserted...again nothing. So I took apart laptop to look at connection on mother board, cleaned everything with dust-off, no visible problem on MB, took off CMOS battery, because I was in the neighborhood and figured it couldn't hurt, and reset CMOS info, put it all together and voila it starts up..midway through transferring files off, the hard drive (I assume) froze up and I had to do a hard reset. On the new boot, same problem as before.
In the interest of price, I heard that the CMOS can drop below a certain voltage and screw with BIOS boot, (although there is no visible change in date/time and lenovo tech assured me it isn't the case),is this a possibility? Or is it a hard drive and/or MB issue? Hope you guys can help me out, thanks!

    Welcome to the forum!
Posting the 7-character model number of the T43 in question would be a good start...
Downloading and burning a PC-Doctor disk and booting from it would be the next step:

you are not setting the classpath but the path, and they should both be written in capitals, PATH and CLASSPATH.
The classpath contains directories and jar files that contain the classes that need to be "visible" to your applications. The servlet classes are part of the file servlet-api.jar, which you can find in your tomcat directory, more specifically the common/lib sub directory.
I would expect your classpath to look something like this:
    .;d:\program files\tomcat\common\lib\servlet-api.jar
You may also want to add the directory in which you are storing your projects, I don't know how you are building your applications.
You seem to be very new to this, so I would suggest you give this a read:

  • JDBC - Class Statement not found...

    Hi,
I'm trying to access Oracle from Java. I typed the oracle supplied sample code JDBCExample. First round at compiling the Java code I was getting an error saying the OracleDriver class was not found. Setting the ClassPath and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment vars fixed that. But now, I get a compiler error message that says it can not find the class Statement. My line of code causing this is Statement stmt = conn.CreateStatement(); I do import the java.sql.* package.
    How can I resolve this?
    null

If you are using SDK 1.2.x the you should also check your environment variable JAVA_HOME and be sure it is set also. If you are using SDK 1.1.x then make sure your java class libraries are in the classpath.
