K9N Neo-F Freeze and restart problem. Help needed!
Hi there,
I recently bought a Mainboard (K9N Neo-F S/N: 601-7260-010K0605023133) that seems to shutdown every now and then. No blue screen... it just freezes for a while and then shuts down. My CPU temperature is very low, I've used a lot of coolingpaste and I have tried every possible way of mounting memorys... 1,2,4... and in different slots. I've run Memtest also. The BIOS-version is the newest according to the Liveupdate-function. The power supply should be enough but I have tested disconnecting everything else then one harddrive and the mobo... doesn't work.
Sometimes it happens with three hours between the occations and sometimes five minutes. Not related to anything special that is done on the computer.
Is this a problem that is common...? Related to hardware or bios...? I would be glad for any advice you could give.
Thanks in advance. Really need help... this drives me mad...
/Christian
I started Orthos and then left the computer alone. Went and watched a film, when I got back after 1 hour and 38 minutes or something like that the computer freezed. I will try leaving it on all night without touching a thing... kind of strange that it happens right when I sit down and move the mouse.
Thanks a lot for trying to help... it's appreciated.

New iPod keeps freezing and restarting.
I just bought a 60GB white g5 iPod and loaded a bunch of music onto it. Whenever I try to play a song it goes back to the apple screen and restarts. If it actually plays a song it freezes and restarts when it needs to go to the next song, if it doesn't do that it will play about three seconds of a song and go to the next one and freeze and restart pretty soon after.
A relative of mine has another new 60GB iPod and we tried loading music on it from my computer and it works just fine so it's obviously the iPod and not my files or anything. I tried doing a complete restore on the iPod and then putting music back on it but it still has the same problem.
Is anyone else having a problem like this? Is there anything I can do, or should I just either contact Apple about getting it fixed/replaced or return it to the store?did you reset your ipod with the new update, it usually solves that problem, a lot of people were having problems under the factory settings

I did the 5.1.1 update over wifi, had update issues, then updated on Itunes no problem, now my phone continues to freeze and restart, any suggestions on how to correct this - thank you
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Has any of this been tried?

My MacBook Pro keeps freezing and restarting
Whenever I'm using my MacBook Pro for the last two years.
No matter what I'm doing it keeps freezing and restarting.
Ive had the logic board replace 2 , the hard drive replaced and the memory replaced all at the apple store in square one
I've also wiped the memory.
I'm losing my mind i dont know what to do. I was a new one but I've already spent my money on this. And i feel its not fair for me to have to buy another one since this one hasn't worked properly to begin with. I know they've replaced everything in but it hasn't fixed the problem and nothing has changed.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Or experience the same problem ?Date/Time: 2014-04-15 00:00:00 -0400

Pavilion keeps freezing and restarting after 5 minutes of use
My laptop is continuously freezing and restarting. Please help!
According to the message you have posted I suspect there could be a hardware issue on your Notebook
It could be possible that the Hard Drive might have bad sectors or Memory Module on the Notebook could be corrupted
Please perform the Steps as shown below:-
1. Please "Turn OFF" the Notebook
2. "Power ON" the Notebook and keep tapping the Escape Key during the start up to enter the Start-up Menu
3. Now here, Please select the BIOS option [F10] and under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab
4. You should find the facility to run tests on both the Hard Disk Drive and Memory
Note: Please perform these two tests and post back with the details of any error messages
Please click the below shown link to find the steps for performing Hard Drive Test

Tip for Data Backup:
Remove the HDD and install it in a USB HDD Enclosure. You can then plug it into a USB port of a working machine. If there is any life left in the drive you should be able to browse it and copy files off to HDD of host machine

Brand new E5 freezes and restarts often
I recieved the E5 not even two days ago, and I cannot tell you how much frustration I've gone through trying to stop it from freezing and restarting. It has happened in the menu, in the contact list, just trying to do random things. Also, it happens on its own, for example I just noticed it restarting while I'm typing this sentence, and I haven't touched it for five minutes.
It is extremely upsetting for a BRAND new phone to be acting like this, and thus far I am extremely displeased with the Nokia brand. I am not really too tech savvy, but I do know some, so please offer me suggestions and help with how to get this phone running optimally. Thanks.I can sympathize, I'm having exactly the same problem. infact if you check the forum there are a number of people having similar issues with this model. My problems have been going on for over a month now. Issues started 3 days after getting the phone, right after getting the last of various updates sent to the phone by my network provider. Initially I spoke with the provider (Orange) who advised me to take it to my closest Nokia Care centre but haven't had the time due to work and still have my old (working) Handset. Have also noted from other posts that many have not had the issues solved even after taking the Handset to the care center for repair.
Have done the removal of battery and set the phone back to it's original factory settings but issues continued. Freezing / Restarting was initially happening only every 3-4 days but has gradually got worse. However, last week had message on the phone saying a software update was available to update via PC, whilst doing so phone had to restart but failed to turn back on which resulted in a failed update. Now, though phone can turn on it only does so for 5-10 mins at a time and only does so if I keep it in temperatures lower than 15 degrees celcius (I won't bore you with how I figured that out!). So basically I can only use it outdoors or if I put it in a fridge. Also the nokia software updaters now seem to think the phone has been updated even though it failed. With the number of issues many people are having with this phone I hope nokia are trying their best to rectify the issues. It is extremely frustrating as this brand new phone is basically unusable. Hopefully I can get it to a care center in the next few days but I'm not very confident they will fix it permanently. -
my itunes will not open at all. it occasionally will open but when i plug my iphone into it the program freezes and crashes. please help as soon as possible
i think i might have a solution... i have windows vista and after i installed to latest itunes update everytime i tried to open it it would freeze. I tried everything, including uninstalling itunes and all of its components and reinstalled it numerous times. So i went to the itunes folder in my folders, not on itunes, and i deleted my itunes library and playlists. After that it worked just fine, all of my music was deleted but luckily i had my files saved elsewhere.
I hope this helped! I know its frustrating and APPLE/ITUNES NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!! -
How can you debug sudden freezes and restarts? Only overheating?
My iMac, under Win XP via Boot Camp, will freeze and restart unpredictably when playing games. I thought I had tracked it down to overheating, but it's not that simple. Is there any error logging at the BIOS level with Boot Camp or any record when it shuts itself off and restarts? I think it must be BIOS and/or hardware, since there are no Windows events that seem to be related. If it was a video or audio driver crash problem, wouldn't I get a BSOD and some sort of error log (since I have automatic restarting turned off in Windows)?
Does anyone know more about when the iMac hardware will trigger a restart due to heat issues? I thought I had solved this by using smcFanControl on the Mac side to bump up the fan speeds and then tracking it with SpeedFan on the Windows side. It worked great for 2 nights. Then the 3rd night, it crashed and restarted right away twice, and then played fine for an hour or more. The 4th night, it crashed and restarted 3 times in a row, within minutes, and we gave up, somehow restraining ourselves from tossing the Mac out the window onto the sidewalk.
According to SpeedFan, the first time it crashed, CPU temps were only at 16C, HD at 37C, and overall at 35C. The second time, CPU temps had gotten up to 25C. The last time, CPU temps again were only at 16C (i.e. it crashed so fast, we hadn't even started playing, so it was effectively idle). Other temps remained pretty constant the whole time.
Given all that, it's hard for me to believe it's a matter of overheating. Yet I have no idea what else it could be, or why upping the cooling seemed to fix the problem for 2 days, and then the next day we were back to square one.
I guess Boot Camp should come with a big sign, only for word processing. What a waste of time - everything else Windows I do in Fusion. The one thing I wanted to bother with Boot Camp for is almost impossible to do, play a simple, not even new or state of the art game. I'm at a total loss what's happening, now that my overheating theory seems to have blown away.Hi. I just wanted to tell you that I have the exact same problem, only I've got a Mac Pro. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you, but I posted details about what I've found here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=7217936#7217936.

Ipod touch 2G freezing and restarting
Lately, as in the past few weeks or so, my ipod has been freezing and restarting at random intervals. Sometimes, it works for days, then acts up, and sometimes it only works for a few minutes. When it does this, the screen flashes and goes all sorts of different colors, then the ipod shuts off. Sometimes, it takes upwards of five minutes and trying different buttons to get it to come back on. I've already tried many resets and I've restored it twice, I am also using the latest software. I have NO idea what else to do.
Hi Damien,
please write about your experience there because I have a similar problem:
My ipod touch 2G 8GB freezes too after various periods of normal function. It is possible to get it working again by setting it back to factory defaults and then playing back the backup. The freezing occurs quite often.
The ipod was in the dealer´s repair shop twice (i suppos that is not an Apple repair shop). Both times they sent it back with de text "device tested, no mistake found, operating system installed as goodwill". I presume they just set it back to factory defaults which I can do myself but don´t want to do it every few minutes or hours.
How can I convince the repair shop that there is really a problem with the ipod?
Cheers

Freezes and restarts some times during the day
In March 2014 I bought a nokia lumia white icon Verizon Microsoft Store in Orlando, I live in Brazil so I'm using the unit in a Brazilian company, so I do not own a Verizon number. He's presenting problem, freezes and restarts some times during the day, as did the recovery and all other procedures that read on the subject, the problem was not resolved. I would like to inform me how do I change the device since it will be going back to the U.S. next month per 10 days, he is still within the warranty period of 12 months.
Thank you very much.hi mate, as we are a user to user forum only for Nokia products and services, we don't have that kind of information on hand. you will need to liaise with Verizon directly.
however, have you checked that your nanoSIM card is cut correctly, and also that you are up to date with the latest firmware for the device, along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset. -
my imac is frozen with the pop up notice of "usb over current notice, a usb device is currently drawing too much power. the hub it is attached to will be deactivated". have tried unplug and restart, no help. have tried power hub, no help. my wired keyboard and mouse do not work. help.
Unplug all devices including your mouse and keyboard. Now do a
SMC RESET
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computer's power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
It is the 5 second timing that initiates the reset.
If it starts up normally plug in 1 item at a time. You may have a defective device that is drawing too much current. -

I think the idea that an acute accent can also be called a "tilde" is total nonsense.

But good idea to report the bug here:

IPod Touch freezing and restarting with new iOS5.
I've restored settings, and its just gone back to how it was, except even worse. I turn it on, and it'll either instantly freeze, and restart, or freeze then work, then freeze again, then work again, until it eventually freezes and restarts. Also, the battery life with the new ios is dire, before my iPod would last a week or so without being turned off, now it only lasts a couple of days...
I presuming the iOS is 5.1, and its a third gen iPod touch.
Was just curious if there is a way to revert to an older iOS, as this one will not work, and if not, what else could be done.
Thanks in advance.Sorry to hear about that. Here is some info:
-you can't revert back to iOS 4.3.7 or earlier if you have upgraded to iOS 5.
Follow these steps to make your iPod stop freezing:
1- Double click on the home button. Some apps should appear. Hold onto the first one until it starts to jiggle. Then go through all of them and tap the little minus button.
2- Hold the power button down until your iPod completely turns off. Wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. That should stop it, but if it doesn't, do the following.
Plug your iPod into your computer and open up iTunes. Then click restore. (This will take a couple of miunutes). Then Put all your apps and music (and whatever else) back onto your iPod.
*OR*
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup >Back Up Now. Let it back up your iPod to iCloud. (This shouldn't take very long). Next go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU BACK UP YOUR IPOD TO ICLOUD!
Now it will delete EVERYTHING off your iPod. (This includes iOS, and sometimes if your iPod is freezing, it is because you dropped or banged your iPod on something when you where upgrading to iOS 5). Now you need to go through and select your language, location settings and other stuff. When you get to the part where you need to decide where you want to restore your iPod from, choose iCloud and select your WiFi network. Now you need to decide whick restore point to choose. Most people choose the latest one, but you may want to choose the one before that. Now it will restore your iPod.
This should work. If this doesn't, go to you local Apple store and talk to a specialist in iPods or someone behind the genius bar.
