K9N Platinum vcore setting

i have the K9N Platinum MB, with an AMD 4200 X2 cpu, i have tried to overclock
this chip and have been successful to 11x240 settings with vcore 1.45V, if i try to go
any higher the system just shuts down, what is the max vcore(set in "cell menu") that
i can go with this cpu/MB combo, i have the newest bios, v1.60...?
also anytime i try to manually set the memory timings, the board won't boot...i have OCZ PC2 5400 DDR2 memory
the Gold edition with heat spreaders...can you make some suggestions for setting the timings?
thanks

  • K9N Platinum Motherboard problem???

Hello. I got a K9N-Platinum motherboard and AM2 X2 4600+ CPU. However, I often got the following problem:
My system sometimes froze, no response at all, couldn't use mouse and keyboard of course.
    1) I set up the system to shut down monitor after 60 minutes. However, sometimes the system couldn't
recover, all parts stopped working, including hard disks.
    2) When the hard disk is transferring, such phenomenon could happen again.
Finally I found a solution. I had to manually set up the CPU voltage to "1.35V" in BIOS which can resolve my problem completely.
This problem only happened when the cpu voltage was set to "auto".
I thought it was a power management problem, so I installed hotfix KB896256 and KB924441 and all dual-core
cpu optimizers, the problem still existed.
    My system is as follows:
    K9N Platinum with BIOS 1.6 (601-7250-070********)
    AM2 X2 4600+
    Geil DDR2 800 1G*2
    Inno3D 7900GS
    Western Digital Raptor 37G
    Liteon 18X DVD burner
    500W PSU
I want to know whether this is a defect of my motherboard. Any advices would be appreciated.
    Thanks.mate.

Can understand the question "what CPU core do you have"?
    I have the AM2 dual core 4600+ CPU,Windsor core, 89W watt.
yep that i have asked, well there is nothing to worry about voltage applied manually matched with your default CPU vcore.

  • K9n platinum voltage question

    Hello everyone,
I'm new to the boards and I hope someone can help me out.
Let me throw my specs out first:
    mobo: msi k9n platinum 1.0 (bios 1.5)  (ms-7250-20)
cpu:   opteron 1212  (voltage should be 1.3/1.35)
    ram:   ocz 6400 platinum (5,5,5,15 2t) (2.1v)
    gfx:    evga 7800gt
    ps:     sunbeamtech 550w(+3.3v=28A, +5v=36A,+12v1=20A,+12v2=18A(30A/35*A))
This board does have the shut down problems, but I have done the work arounds and fixed 98% of them(memory timings were the most important to fix these)
My question is how do I set the volage for the cpu? I know go into the cell menu->cpu freq config->and change the voltage...but when I set it to 1.3~1.35, the cpu voltage in the H/W monitor & on the main cell menu page will show a .28 voltage increase. My cpu temps are also through the roof (35 idle/ 68+ load).
Right now I have my cpu voltage set at 1.25 and it seems mostly stable, but the cpu Vcore shows 1.528v in H/W monitor, and cell menu.
Also if I keep my voltage at 1.2 my temps are very low (20 idle/ 38 load)
When I use cpu-z it shows the voltage that I actually set.
Anyone have an answer or fix?
Thanks for any and all replies.

leave CPU vid to Auto, you no need to change CPU vcore. voltage moving -/+ 0.05 is normal.
take care about CPU temp... your CPU is overheating and become instable, 68C+ is very high... re seat CPU ensure its mounted well, aplly new thermal paste, but do not put too much!! here are few wrong examples:
your under load temp should not exceed 55C. you may need to get better CPU cooler if no change.

  • Planning To buy MSI K9N Platinum + AMD X2 3800+

    Hello everyone,
as the title as Iam planning to buy a MSI K9N Platinum board with an AMD X2 3800+ for a new system build. Ive been out of the game for a while, the last time I was really up to date on computer technology is when the AMD XP 2500+ Barton was the hottest thing on the market, some what of a new comer to dual core technology. I have a few questions, mainly about the board it self. I did a little searching and that answered some of my question but I have a few more.
Ive read a lot about the shutdown problems from the board when transferring large files or burning DVDs. I have a few questions about that.
From what I see so far, this is a very informative forum and I appreciate any and all information. So here goes:
    1) It says on the MSI website that the ram slot for this motherboard is at 1.8 volts. The ram Iam planning to get is OCZ Platinum EL XTC PC2-6400 1GB 2X512 DDR2 CL4-5-4-15 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit. On the OCZ website it says that the ram modules run at 2.1 volts. My Question is if I stick this ram in the mother board will it boot long enough for me to go into the bios and change the ram voltage to 2.1 volts?
    2) Now Ive read about the shutdown problems with this board. Ive seen a lot of people up the VCore to 1.35V. If I do this along with a bios flash, will this take care of the problems?
    3) Now the dealer that Iam buying my PC from didn't have this board in stock for the last week. He just got them in 2 days ago this week. Therefore Iam assuming he has the lastest version of these boards. Now are these problems taken care of on the new version of these boards? If not what can I do to get rid of them?
    4) Is there anything else I should know about this motherboard?
    Thanks for the the help.
    Ron

Yes, you could set up manually the voltage to 2.1v perfectly I've got one k9nsli p, with an amdx2 3800+ whit 2gb ddr2 (512x4 twins pack corsair xms2 ddr2 800) that works at 1,9v

My shutdowns problems was resolved by unnistallin' nvidia IDE controller, nothing about vcore or flashin bios... I keep original bios version 1.0 & Core center shows vcore at 1.33v

Good question... 2morrow I'll check on the box of my k9 the part number and will post it

The first week, I was desire burn my k9  shutdowns... shutdowns.... shutdowns... after I find the cause of that ShiX$/#(! (nvidi IDesuxs controller) my life is happy!
    good luck

  • K9N Platinum Sli trouble

so i have assembled my new system:
    Athlon 64 x2 AM2 4200+
    Zalman CNPS9500
    K9N Platinum Sli
OCZ DDR2 PC2-5400 667MHz EL Gold Edition 2GB Dual Channel Kit
XFX Geforce 7600GT 256mb XXX edition (another one will be added today for SLI)
a SATA drive and a DVD burner (these arent important for the issue)
temps = idle 30-34 c, load - no idea havent checked that yet
    Enermax Liberty 400w PSU
ever since ive assembled the system i ran into some strange thing - during the changing of setting in the BIOS it froze a few times.
Neverthless i was able to run the system, install windows, start to install other software (yesterday)
and today when i turned on the system, windows booted up, and sudenly it restarts and freezes up in pre bios stage...
Reset or Shutdown resulted in power up, but nothing happening, the monitor did even got out of standby...
after a few tries, and about ten minutes without power, it started up and went to a bios stage, giving a CMOS Bad Checksum Error... loaded bios with fail-safe settings, system worked fine and booted up windows... windows worked fine aswell, attempt to reboot and change the bios settings, gave a Bad Checksum from start and a freeze in bios. System is not getting to bios stage once again...
A Mobo problem that warrants a vist to the store, to return it?

oh and the PSU got two +12v rails with 20a on each, should be enough?... (though Enermax seems to have troubles with math since according to them 20a+20a=30a)
trust me, enermax doesn't have problems with math. this is actually how it works. you cannot just add up the 12v rails to get the max amps on the 12v.
    Quote from: mr.flint on 26-August-06, 00:33:23
managed to boot with the suspected mem stick - running memtest-86 - counted 746321 errors and then froze.... looks like the stick IS defective
try to increase the memory voltage a bit. i think you should be safe up to 2.1V. if you still get errors in memtest, then you have a faulty memory module.

  • K9N Platinum: CPU upgrade = Random shutdowns..

I just installed a new AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ EE in my MSI K9N Platinum motherboard (MS-7250 v1.0, the 070 model according to the box). I had updated the BIOS to version 1.7 before installing the CPU. Anyhow, I got the CPU installed and it seemed to be running fine. Until I started playing my games. Upon playing fifteen (!!!) minutes of Day of Defeat, the system completely turned off. COMPLETELY. No error messages. I check core temp's log to make sure the CPU wasnt overheating; it wasnt. The max temp was 38C on one of the cores. Just to make sure the CPU wasnt the problem, I ran two instances of prime95 for 5 hours and there were no calculation errors whatsoever. I also ran 3-4 loops of SuperPi, using the 32M test. No errors.
I have come to the conclusion that it must be the motherboard, and possibly it does not like the CPU. Or else it is having the same random shutdown problems as many other K9N Platinum/Ultra boards are experiencing. From what i have read, this issue only relates to boards that are 040, 050, or 060 models. I have a 070 model, and I AM GETTING THIS PROBLEM!!
    Help!!!
    Full specs:
    MSI K9N Platinum MS7250 V1.0, BIOS 1.7, model 070
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ EE (old CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+; had no issues with the 3500+) vcore: 1.225
    1 GB OCZ Platinum DDR2-800, 5-5-5-15, 2.1v
eVGA GeForce 7800GT videocard with Zalman VF900, 490/1220
    Hitachi Deskstar 7K80 SATA HDD
    LITE-ON DVD-ROM drive
    Floppy drive
    3x 80mm fans, 1 cold cathode
    Antec Truepower 430 watt PSU, dual +12v @ 17A a piece.
    Any ideas?

well, i know that ACPI has to do with power saving features.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACPI
and HPET also has something to do with CPUs
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPET
    and MCP55 is the nortbridge.
so i suppose i can conclude that it protects from overvoltage or promotes more power-saving?  i dunno i really dont care as long as my PC works now,

  • K9N Platinum bios version & cpu support

    Hi!
I need some help to clear up some questions regarding my MB.
MB: K9N Platinum, Cpu-z states my bios version is 080014, but i cant see it in the bios list for my MB, so what version is it?
Im currently running with a Athlon X2 5200+ Windsor, and i have got my hands on an Athlon X2 6400+ Black Edition, as far as i can see my MB is supporting that cpu, but is my current bios up to date for the cpu?
I have downloaded the MSI usb bios flashtool and i have set it up, and it boots in dos, but when i run memtest the program just says in one line memtest and a flashing + nothing more happens (i have left the pc for about 3-4min but no change) i feel that im starting to push my luck, and i dont want to kill this MB since its my work and gaming rig.
    System spec:
    MB: K9N Platinum
    CPU: Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (want to install Athlon 64 x2 6400+ BE ID: ADX6400IAA6CZ)
    RAM: 6Gb DDR2, 2x1Gb, 2x2Gb

Memtest do have some bugs. You can do test with Orthos instead:
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=103598.msg760534#msg760534
To check is your system is stable or not.
Once done you can ignore Memtest when asking after booting from the USB key
Also leave 1 memory stick only temporary in the 1st DIMM close to CPU socket before BIOS flash.[put remaining sticks back when BIOS flash is done/finished].

  • K9N PLATINUM(NON SLI) DUAL CHANNEL MODE PROBLEM

    hi
put a new system together with the following specs:
    amd am2 3800+(2ghz)
    k9n platinum 1.20 bios
    2x512 kingston ddr2(667mhz)
pci video(yes not pci-e)have not decided which vid card to get yet.
    500w  psu 12v 35a,5v 25a,3.3v 25a
    liteon dvd burner
seagate 300gb ide  7200/16 meg cache windows xp-pro sp2 with all updates.
not overclocking or even trying to.
    no sata drives connected.
has never failed to post, boot windows and no lockups or blue screens.
ok,i am trying to get the memory to work in dual mode.
everytime i put the memory in the dual mode slots, the cpu clocks down to 1ghz instead of 2ghz.
    verified by bios,windows and cpu-id
    i have tried different memory(both ddr2 533 and 667)667 installed now.
also never had any install problems with windows and everything runs fine until i tried dual mode.
after the cpu clocks down to 1ghz,the only way to get it back to normal is a bios reset( load defaults
    or press red button).
if i leave the memory as single channel then i have no issues.
also cpu-id says the chipset for my board is nforce 550,i thought k9n platinum had 570 nforce chipset?
this might just be a problem with cpu-id though.
any thoughts on the cpu down clock problem in dual channel mode?
    thanks,jeff

1 assume you can get into BIOS with 1 stick only?
Go into the BIOS and manually set the timings and voltage to what your memory manufacturer recommends. Use a 2T command rate and see if it works.
Try both "sets" of dual channel slots, i.e. the two left slots or the two right slots.

  • K9N Platinum and Corsair CM2X1024-6400 **UPDATE - FIXED**

I'm trying to help a friend with their new K9N Platinum motherboard.  We got everything installed successfully, but after getting into Windows, the machine will just freeze up randomly doing anything, software install, whatever, within a minute, or sometimes as long as 5 or more minutes.
    Basic specs:
    K9N Platinum motherboard
    Flashed to BIOS version 1.4
    AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ (65W) socket AM2
    BFG Geforce 7900GS
    500W PCI-E power supply
Wester Digital 120GB 7200rpm SATA HD 8MB cache
    Single 1GB stick of Corsair CM2X1024-6400 RAM (DDR2 800MHz) - Brand New - DIMM slot 1
Windows XP Professional with SP2 and all windows updates installed. (using IE6)
Installed all latest drivers from MSI's website for this board.
We tried 1st with DRAM timings on auto, then tried to set the timing manually according to Corsair's spec sheet for this module, including memory voltage at 1.9V.
We think it might be a bad memory module, because after getting into Windows, we run memtest, and errors are detected within the 1st minute.  We have RMA'd the RAM module.  I'm wondering though if we just didn't have the timing for the memory set correctly in the BIOS.
Is anyone here runnning this exact memory successfully, or is this board incompatible with this Corsair module?  If you are running successfully, did you have to change the SPD timings manually, or are you running using the SPD Auto setting?
If you had to use manual setting, any help with the values to set in DRAM Timing would be greatly appreciated.  As much detail as you can provide would be great.  Thanks for your help.

Ok, still having major problem with running world of warcraft.  This PC freezes/locks up in the game every single time within 5-10 minutes of play no matter what we've tried so far.  This is not a shutdown or restart problem, just a freeze/lock-up symptom.  I'm getting a bit frustrated at this point.  No other problems in windows are encountered.  We can work in windows with any other application, like adobe photoshop or any other software, with zero trouble.  I'm beginning to think this is video card related somehow with this 7900 GS card.
    For added info, the video card being used is this;
    BFG Tech BFGR79256GSOCE GeForce 7900GS 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
    Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA
    GPU GeForce 7900GS
    Core clock 525MHz(vs. 450MHz standard)
    PixelPipelines 20
    Memory Clock 1320MHz
    Memory Size 256MB
    Memory Interface 256-bit
    Memory Type GDDR3
    3D API
    DirectX DirectX 9
    OpenGL OpenGL 2.0
    Ports - DVI 2
The mouse used is a logitech USB track ball mouse if that has any bearing on anything.  No mouse troubles though, just thought I'd mention it.
    Here's what we've tried so far;
Updated to BIOS version 1.4.  This was done after the Windows XP install though, so not sure if something is hosed up here.
    1) We set the RAM timings to 5-5-5-12-2T and 2.1Volts in BIOS manually, as per direct recommendation from Corsair.
1a) Ran memtest all night for about 9 hours straight and no errors at all detected.  So I'm guessing this isn't a RAM problem really, but who knows .
    2) Installed the Windows XP SP2 Hotfix for Dual Core Processors - hotfix KB896256
    3) Installed the AMD Dual Core Optimizer from here -->http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html
    4) Updated the Nvidia system drivers with the nForce 550/570/570/590 SLI (C51+MCP55) driver package 9.19 WHQL from MSI's website here--> http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_detail.php?UID=730&kind=1
    5) Currently running Nvidia video driver version --> ForceWare Release 90 Version: 93.71 Release Date: November 2, 2006 WHQL Certified.
    6) Ran a complete Direct X diagnostics via dxdiag.  All tests passed successfully.
    7) Tried to install the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) 1.3.2.16 from here -->http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html
But it would NOT install because it says I have to first uninstall the current driver via add/remove programs, but it's not listed there, before installing this one.  So, I have no idea where to look or how to do this, I'm afraid of messing up the processor driver.  Can someone explain how to install this driver, and would not having this installed possibly be a potential cause of the game lock-ups?
I don't know what else to do.  Could the version 9.19 Nvidia SATA or IDE drivers I installed be causing these game lock-up problems?  If so, do I just go into device manager and just rollback drivers for all of the devices listed under the "IDE/ATA ATAPI Controllers" in device manager?
Again, this was a fresh windows XP Pro install on a newly formatted hard drive.  Obviously something is fubar, but I'm running out of things to try.  Maybe going into BIOS and "load optimized defaults" and start over?
Lastly, the tech specs on newegg.com for this video card say "A 350W PCI Express compliant system power supply (with 12V current rating of 22A or more)" is needed.  Since the 500W power supply we're using has 2 separate 12V rails rated at 20A each, could this be the problem??  I'm open to suggestions.  Thank you.

  • K9N Platinum Digital Coaxial Out

I am having an extreme amount of trouble with my K9N Platinum trying to get the SPDIF Digital Coaxial Out to work.  In the Realtek HD Audio Manager the slider for SPDIF is not there; I'm not even able to adjust it.  In the regular windows volume manager the slider is simply greyed out and immovable.
I have upgraded to what I believe are the latest Realtek HD drivers; directly from MSI's website as well as from the MSI Live Monitor.
I've poured over the options in the Realtek HD Audio Manager but I can't seem to find any way to fix this issue, as well as googled like crazy and searched this forum.  I apologize if this is a duplicate topic; I did do a search and didn't find another one with a solution.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is it the realtek hd audio manager you are talking about?
If it is: When i boot my computer as usual and start realtek manager.. You usually see which outputs are in use in the top menu, I dont see the digital output (spdif optical) here, even when its connected. So i guess it cant be muted since the sound device is not recognized by my Operating System (Vista) and/or my motherboard (k9n nforce570 sli platinum)
When i plug a cable in the line-in output, the realtek manager responds and ads both the line-in button and the spidf (digital output) button in the top menu.
Yes, on my PC, with Windows XP (you're using Vista, things might be considerably different, I don't know), the Realtek HD Audio Manager under the Audio I/O tab has a setting for "DIGITAL": if you click on the little wrench icon next to it, you can select the Sampling Rate (from 44 to 192 kHz) and if you want to enable or not the SPDIF output. When enabled, the SPDIF port will output whatever sound you're playing, in its original format: if you play an MP3, it will be stereo, if you play a DVD with a Dolby AC3 5.1 audio stream (and you enable the SPDIF pass-through in your DVD software, like Nero Showtime), then it will be 5.1.
Based on my (little) experience, most games do NOT support a digital 5.1 output, so - even if you enable the "surround sound" in their settings - you will get only stereo sound from the SPDIF (you will get surround if you plug a 5.1 speaker system in the front/rear/center audio jacks on the MB). I read there are soundcards that can do digital 5.1 encoding on the fly, but that's a whole different story.
    Hope this helps...

I have the K9N Platinum motherboard aswell, and the standard DDR voltage is 1.80
OK, let me make it clear. there is no standard voltage on the mobos. the default voltage depends on the memory you are using. different memory modules will default at different voltages, as per the data that the manufacturer placed in their SPDs.
if you are talking about JEDEC default voltage for DDR2, then yes, it is 1.8V, with a maximum of 2.3V. you can read about timings and voltages for the JEDEC standard here:

  • K9n Platinum fan speed control

    Hi!
    I have the following configuration:
    -Motherboard: MSI K9N Platinum v1.1
    -Bios: AMI v1.3
-CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core)
-CPU cooler: Artic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
    -Memory: Kingmax 2*1 GB
    -Video card: MSI NX7600 GT
    -Power Supply: Antec NeoHE430 430W
-Hard Drive: Samsung 250 GB SP2504C
-Operating system: Win XP Pro SP2
I would like to control the speed of the CPU fan automatically, according to the temperature.
    I tried
-the Dual CoreCenter utility from MSI, but it allows me only check the speed manually (If I did not miss anything)
-control from BIOS HW Monitor setting SmartFan but it does not work at all. ( Iam not sure but this can be because my cooler, it has 3 pin connector, and th MB user guide tells it works only if I use 4 pin connector. Can you confirm this?)
-Speedfan 4.31, it seemed working, but the system become instabile. I check the programmers site, and this MB did not supported.
Do you have any suggesions, experience about controlling the CPUfan?
    Thank you in advance!
    T.

    Thank you for the answers.
Unfortunately the smartfan feature is not working in my case.( set to 3-pin in BIOS) I asked the MSI Technical Support and they said:
As this motherboard includes 4 pins connector for cpu fan, the 4th pin is used to controlled cpu fan speed, if you use 3 pins fan, fan speed will not be changed automatically and smart fan will not function.
I feel a small contradiction here
Do you have other ideas other than smartfan and speedfan?
    T.

  • K9N Platinum issues

I just bought an MSI K9N platinum mainboard with an AMD Athlon X2 4200+ cpu and Corsair Twin2X2048-5400C paired memory set. At first the bios would instantly crash but I solved that problem by by setting the voltage to 1.9v and manually setting the timing to 4-4-4-12 and forcing the clock to standard 667mhz (5400C is 675mhz). This allowed me to boot but both windows and windows setup would get a BSOD almost strait away (different one nearly every time). I then raised the voltage to 2.1v and this allowed me to log into windows but if I try to do anything stressful such as games or benchmarking it will run for a random amount of time (not usually longer than 5 minutes) and then get a BSOD. Occasionally background applications randomly crash and sometimes I get a BSOD for no reason in windows (not often). I ran memtest86 for 8.5 hours and it showed no errors. Ive updated the BIOS to the latest version. Any body have any idea whats wrong? I can usually use windows fairly fine but no games.

So this one will be fine? http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-65zf.htm
hope your right because thats a lot of money to spend if its not the problem. Is there a test or tell tale sign of low power so I can be sure?
    USERS:
"Artifacts and freezing on Sapphire X1900XT
Hello, I have a Sapphire X1900XT running at stock speeds and stock cooler. At default fan settings I have no problem running not so power hungry games but when I start Oblivion (1600x1200 2xAAA, 8xAF) the game runs good but about in 15 minutes (varies on the stressfulness of scene) the screen becomes garbled and computer stops responding. VPU recover sometimes manages to restart the card but it crashes again within seconds."
    Resolve:
"I bought a Silverstone 650W Zeus and all problems are gone! No more weird fun speed changes under different loads, no more lockups!"
yep im sure its your PSU isnt enought. users confirm that, also official recommendation is "you need atleast 30A on +12V(450-Watt power supply or greater,30 Amps on 12 volt rail recommended) The power supply requirements for that card is 30 amps on a single 12v rail or 22amps on 2x12v rails(better get Sinlge Rail PSU, avoid dual rail)"
"Is there a test or tell tale sign of low power so I can be sure?"
-you can also borrow some recommended good brand powerfull enought PSU to test it before buy it, to be sure to resolve problem.
test you can see by yourself lockup, reboots, abnormal program termination, issues and other are expected when PSU isnt enought when your VGA starting to drain power. you can make test, decrease drasticly GPU Core and Memory Frequency and you must be stabilised.but that isnt solution it is just for testing.

  • K9n platinum memory

I just purchased a k9n platinum  motherboard.Does anyone have any suggestions on memory for this board? I was considering corsair twin 2x1024-5400c4 or  kingston khx5400d2/1g.Also I am not sure if i should go with dual channel or single {does it really make much of a difference with dual channel}If i go with the corsair memory can i still use the default settings in the bios. The k9n board supports 1.8v, the corsair uses 1.9v will I have to change bios setting for this ram. Thanks for your help

The board's default voltage is 1.9V. You can however set the DDR voltage from 1.8-2.45 Volt.
default voltages depend on the memory SPD defaults not on the mobo. so if the memory modules have a 1.8V SPD default, the BIOS will set the memory at 1.8V.

  • K9N Platinum doesn't read SPD correctly

K9N Platinum doesn't read SPD correctly. When i put any RAM to my computer and set timings to auto it always set timing to 5-6-5-15 ignoring SPD on RAM/RAMs.
Is it only my board problem? or all K9N Platinums?
    I have 601-7250-020....
    i use 1.5 bios,and i am going to update to 1.6 today.

    Yes you are right: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/products/specs/TWIN2X2048-5400C4.pdf
However, MSI could change something in the BIOS to make your memory work properly.
As the Jdec standard is Intel system testing only (if I'm not mistaken) it could well be that the AMD CPU can't work with those values, so it ups them a little.
Don't forget, Intel uses "CPU -> Chipset -> Memory", but AMD uses "CPU -> Memory"
The only one that can answer this is Corsair, so I suggest you ask them why the SPD is different on AMD's.
    They know that, we don't.
But it's not strange that AMD's have higher timings.
In any case, it has nothing to do with the board, as the AMD's have an in-CPU memory controller! Intels do not have this.
