K9N2 Diamond Hangs pre-POST PCI-Bus not working

Hello,
I've had a happily working system for over a eyar, but the other day I discovered that the display no longer worked. So I rebooted and noted the diagnostic leds were RED-RED-GREEN-RED. After digging around and looking at page 2-26 of the K9N2 SLI Platinum's manual, it informed me that I was hanging at Bad memory. So I tried without ram and with new 800 speed ram, and still the same leds. Tried new ram in diffrent slots, no change. Tried only 1 stick, no change. Tried with no ram, mo change. Tried removing all PCI-X & PCI cards and still nothing. Removed all drive cables and still no change. In the end, I only have my processor installed and it still hangs at start.
I reinstalled everything and tried another approach. I used the onboard DVI graphics port and just bided my time. Got the usual R-R-G-R lights and waited a few minutes. Eventually I reached the BIOS. I checked all the settings, it was detecting processor, ram, drives, all were fine. So I let the system eventually boot into win7 and arrived at the desktop. I then discovered that the sound card was not operating either. This led me to believe that the entire PCI bus had failed.
Has anyone else come across this? I take it that at this point that my only avenue for fix if to RMA the motherboard.

I had some middle range Hyper ,it died after one year ,got a replacement with a defect which i fixed -bad soldering one cap bridged.
Sugestion -> get a proper PSU to test ,thats vaporware.They look nice ,but they "stink" inside soldering and components wise.Not to say that the PSU is multirailed.I bet that the wires are also under gauged .

K9N2 Diamond Hangs at post with 8GB of memory.

Doing some upgrading here and running into problems.
K9N2 Diamond V1.1 with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE.
I've narrowed the problem down to my memory, I think. I have 4 sticks of OCZ SLI Ready DDR2 PC26400 800s. If I put two sticks in, it works fine...so far, but if I put all 4 in the system will sometimes not post (no beep codes) Sometimes it starts to but will hang quickly usually on the splash screen. I've noticed in the manual it says the spec for DDR2 is 1.8v, but the DIMMS list [email protected] I suspect this could be my problem? Also, what are the freaking order of the DIMM slots? There's no marking on the board and the manual doesn't tell you either!

Just to let you know Bas, I would have loved to stick with Bios 2.4, but like I said I had to update so that my motherboard would work with my Phenom II x4 965c3. Now, after all the suggestions in this thread did not work for me, I contacted MSI customer service, like I do with all my unsolvable issues, and they have a beta bios that fixes a LOT of issues including the 4 sticks of ram issue with bios 2.5. Since I cannot just post the link due to (and I fully respect MSI's wishes) rules from customer service, but if you need the 4 stick of ram fix, contact MSI customer service and they will give you the link to the beta bios that solves this issue. I just wanted to follow up in case other K9N2 Diamond owners out there might be having the same issue!

Try connecting it to another PC, if it is ok, then your PC has some software conflict with iTunes.
If it hangs other PC also, then your iPod Hardisk, maybe bad.
Do the disk diagnosticas posted earlier by tt2, to check the health of your Hardisk.

Basic troubleshooting steps outline in the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved. If you've been through all these steps and the trouble persists, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation. Be sure to make an appointment first at the Genius Bar so you won't have a long wait.

I got a problem when it comes to D-bus.
Neither pulseaudio nor network-manager-applet is working for me due to this error that comes up:

I saw that this could solve it, but it did not, so I am now turning to a new post.
USB connection works, and I can get internet from USB tethering, so there should be nothing wrong with my USB busses (is not that, that D-bus controls?)

when it comes to pulseaudio, I just ran "pulseaudio".
as a normal user it just comes to this:

it gives no output at all. but I can't see anything that says that it is working either.
in my tray it says "networkManager is not running"

now I will try to install package "bluez5" and see if that helps.

I tried installing bluez, and I got another error:

I installed alsa instead and I got sound working.

Why would a PCI card not work in a similar G4?

Why would an Audio Interface PCI card work in one Mac G4, but not in a newer, similar computer?
My Sonorus STUDI/O audio interface card has been working great in my G4 450 (AGP), through various MacOS versions, now in OS 9.2.2, using LOGIC Pro 6 recording software.
Putting the card in a Power Mac G4 Dual 1.25 Ghz (MDD Mirror Drive Door), the card is recognized by Apple System Profiler, but Logic abruptly quits without explanation as soon as it starts up and tries to acknowledge and integrate the card.
Throwing away Logic’s Preferences will let me successfully start up Logic, and choosing the basic MacAV as the audio engine will work just fine (so it’s not the application itself that’s broken). But if I specify the STUDI/O, as soon as I relaunch Logic to activate that choice, the program just quits without explanation again.
Same system (OS 9.2.2) as in the G4 450 (except that the Mirror Drive’s OS 9 was a slightly newer, machine-specific build).
No special drivers needed, as Logic supports the card directly.
I tried all available PCI slots, with no difference.
So why would a PCI card suddenly not work at all in a newer, but comparable Mac? Any ideas?

Additional bit: The STUDI/O card is not supported in OS X, and Sonorus has closed its doors. So there's no help forthcoming from that direction. But in OS 9, everything should be good to go. Could a somewhat newer, faster computer like the Dual 1.25 really have that much of a detrimental impact on a PCI card?

Tried using different domain name servers?
Flushing DNS cache?
Turning off proxy?
You would find similiar issues over on Safari, Snow Leopad forum, and post to the MacBook Pro area instead.

created a post-exit in method 'MODIFY_BREADCRUMB', but it is not working.
the post-exit is not run.
May I know the reason? What should I do?

just to take care of the simple things first - Have you activated the enhancement? (I'm sure you have!) have you put in a breakpoint in the modify_breadcrumb method to see that it is being called at all?
Is it possible that the method is returning/exiting before your enhancement gets processed?

Just added 1394a FW400 card for PCI-e - not working

I just put in a "Best Connectivity" 1394a three port PCI-e card. But it's not connecting (not showing on Finder), yet my Lacie drive spins up when connected. The box says nothing about using with a MAC, but I assume PCI-e 1394a would work with either PC or MAC. Just not yet! What am I missing - something I need to switch on/off? Any help would be appreciated.

The problem is that your assumption is incorrect.
If it doesn't say Mac compatible and if their are no OSX drivers available it will not work. Although the interface is the same, the rest of the system must be able to communicate with the card (speak the same language) if it is to work.

Post Call Survey Not working

We have a 9.0 CVP and UCCE environment and trying to get Post Call Survey to work. Everything is configured per Cisco docs, but when the caller opts to participate in Post call Survey and the ECC is set to "y", once the agents end the call, the caller is never directed to the PCS script. Call simply hangs up. This particular setup utilizes CUSP and all the configuration is being done there for the most part. In Dialed Number Patterns (OAMP), only my test numbers are configured there. There is no other configuration. If I look at the call servers, I do see "Override system Dialed Number Pattern Configuration” is enabled/checked. It seems my dialed number patterns are being ignored due to the flag.
What would be the harm to the environment if I disabled the "Override system Dialed Number Pattern Configuration” flag?

NAC guest server hangs and guest portal is not working

Our guest nac server NAC3315 is oftenly getting hung state . And our guest wireless network is not working . We are able to ping the NAC server but web page is not opening for the clients if they connected to guest network.
Any clue on this ....

All actions within the Cisco NAC Guest Server are logged into the database. This enables you to see any action that occurred as part of the normal operating process of the application.
To access the system log from the administration interface select Server > System Log from the left hand menu
Please check the Error Logs for troubleshooting of NGS

MBP 2010 Mavericks SATA PCI Card not working

with Mountain Lion I had no problems with my LaCie SATA II ExpressCard 34, but after installing Mavericks this card is not working anymore.

I contacted Lacie Support, they do not have an actual driver.
So I bought a Sonnett Tempo SATA Pro 6Gb ExpressCard/34 which should work with Mavericks.

After installing this I could use the card when I plugged it in AFTER systemstart. If the card is plugged in when the computer is started, the compter will not start at all. So, if I like to use an external drive as startvolume with this card, it is useless.
Does anybody have the same problem and any solution?
Will there be an update for Mavericks regarding this problem?

I can't offer any solutions, my MBP doesn't have an Expresscard slot, but it seems like no one else has answered so I thought I'd offer a suggestion. Contact Other World Computing at Macsales.com. They specialize in Mac hardware and may be able to supply you with a card that works.
As for the "will there be an update" question, we're all just users here so we have no idea what Apple will do.
