Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 URL Advisor and Anti banner not working on Firefox 4

Hi,
On March 23rd 2011, I installed Firefox4 , but apart from Kaspersky Anti Banner 11.0.1.400 and Kaspersky URL advisor 11.0.1.400, all other-add ons were loaded. If you can provide the solution for this , I would be grateful.
Thanks and Regards,
Rahul Gabda.

You need to contact Kaspersky about their plans for supporting Firefox 4. It is quite common for companies to only support a new version of a browser after it has been officially released, and not support it during the beta/release candidate phase.
You should check for any Kaspersky updates in case they have already added support for Firefox 4

    The latest flash player release is 11,0,1,152.
    Can you upgrade to this version and see whether the crash stil exists?
    Go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download and install flash player.
    In case you need direct link to installer/uninstaller, please go to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3952360#3952360 to find them.

    My computer crashes repeatedly and I get the message pages are not responding do you want to stop, and/or shockwave is not responding do you want to stop. I have Windows XP Service Pack 3, I am having the same issues whether I use Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. My HP Pavilion Desktop has 504 MB of Ram and I am using high speed internet connection. Because it was crashing so much, I used the uninstall program for Flash player to uninstall Flash, I checked my registry and removed anything I saw that was Flash. I then uninstalled Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, then I reinstalled the most recent versions from their websites. I did the same for FlashPlayer and Shockwave Flash. I went to the Adobe website and had them check to see if it was working and it shows I have FlashPlayer 10.3.181.36. The page that shows  which version of flash player goes with Windows XP states that I should have 10.3.181.34 (This is what I thought I had before I updated, I was having the same problems). When I went into my computer to see what version I have, it shows 11.5.9.620 Activex and both Flash Player and Flash Player Object is listed as 10.3.181.34. My firewall for Windows is set to medium. I also am running Norton Internet Security. It takes anywhere from 3-6minutes for some of my games to load, and I have to refresh at least 3-4 times in order to play. When I do start to play it freezes frequently and I use escape to free it up. This has been going on for a month. I have no idea what to do. I am not very computer savy and I have been learning as I go.

  • Page is working ok in chrome and IE but not working in firefox. jquery problem i guess

    http://184.170.251.149/raschet-shkafa-kupe
    this page is working correctly in chrome and IE but not working in firefox, i cant click and of the dropdown menus(ДСП, доличество дверей). it was working perfectly prior firefox 18. can you please fix the compatibility problem ?

    I was referring to the second page in my above post.
    I disabled JavaScript as a test after loading the page with JavaScript enabled and that worked.<br />
    I also get the selects to open if I right-click instead of left-click the select.<br />
    That way the select get selected (shows a focus ring) and after that left-clicking works as well .
    This assumes that JavaScript is monitoring the left-click, but that script no longer works properly.

  • How do I get the updated version of Firefox 3.6.19 to open up in Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 as it keeps opening in 3.6.17 and upgrading when in KIS 2011 elicits error messages?

    My issue is with updating Firefox in KIS 2011 safe run mode. I recently upgraded my Firefox web browser OUTSIDE OF KIS SAFE RUN MODE to Firefox 3.16.19. When I clicked on KIS safe run mode I expected the upgrade to take effect. This was not the case (still version 3.6.17).
    I then tried to upgrade the Firefox browser IN KIS SAFE RUN Mode and received the following error messages "software update failed" or "the update could not be installed please make sure their are no other copies of Firefox running on your system and try again."
    I thought if I killed the Firefox process outside of KIS safe run and ran it as an administrator it might work- it didn't - just opened 3.6.19 outside of safe run mode. I then tried to update manually when in safe run mode and received a side-by-side configuration error. I am a basic computer user not a techie and could use some help that hopefully isn't to complicated for me to enact!
    Thanks in advance

  • Software Update 7.0.1 says my Kaspersky URL adviser and keyboard will not work? Any way to avoid this?

    I get prompted to do a software update, when I start it I get a message saying my Kaspersky add on will not work and be disabled until they are compatible. The URL adviser and keyboard. Is there a way around this? I don't want anything that affects my anti virus.

    First off, updating Firefox won't affect the anti-virus part of Kaspersky, only a couple Kaspersky add-ons for Firefox. Second, check with Kaspersky to find out if or when they're going to have compatible Firefox extensions ready for Firefox 7.

  • I am trying to load a Princeton Review Software program and it is not working on firefox.

    Basically I ordered this review class from The Princeton Review and I was told it works with Firefox and Internet Explorer. So I went to use it on Firefox and it still doesn't work. Is there any security measure or pop up thing or add ons that must be clicked on or something to be able to review my prep class with the Princeton Review.

    Hi tguthrie, I'm not familiar with this class. Is it online only, i.e., you're not trying to run it from a CD or DVD? (Recent versions of Firefox may apply different security restrictions to CD and DVD content than earlier versions.)
    Does the site display any error messages? What's going wrong?
    If you want to make sure the site can do what it needs to do, try this. Go to the site, then use Tools > Page Info, on the Permissions tab, change the settings for Popup Windows and Set Cookies to Allow if that is not the current setting.

  • Drag and drop does not work in firefox 3

    Does anybody has the same issue with firefox when you add a layout to the oracle composer and you want to drag and drop some components that it just does not work...
    When i hoover over the title bar of a component i see the cross icon but the drag & drop does not work. WHen i do the same in IE8 or google chrome, it does work.
    I have this issue for both oracle composer stuff as for sites i build in webcenter spaces.
    We are working with the latest version of webcenter

    WebCenter is compatible with:
    * Firefox 2 & 3
    * Internet Exploirer 7 and 8
    * Safari 3.0
    It might be caused by a firefox extension in your browser.

  • Sky Go and BT Sport not working in firefox, they used to. Both work fine in Chrome.

    I have used Firefox for many years, about a week before Christmas I tried to used Sky Go for the 1st time in about 6-8 weeks and it wouldn't work. It was as if there was no player at all - no buffering, no error messages, just a white background box where the player is meant to be. I recently found out that BT Player also doesn't play. That too just acts as if there is no video player there. Both used to work fine, and both still do in IE and Chrome.
    I have the Ad Block Plus and Flash Blocker add ons installed, but disabled for Sky Go. I have deleted and re-installed silverlight as per Sky's suggestion, and I have the Silverlight plugin "always active" in the plugins tab. The only changes that have been made since when they both worked last, and now, is updating firefox version, and changing my Internet Service Provider.
    Any help? I really can't stand Internet Explorer, and I'd rather use firefox than chrome as it's what I've used and trusted for years.

    hi anthony81, can you try to totally disable flashblock for testing purposes once in the addons manager, restart firefox and see if it is making a difference?

  • Submit and redirect is not working in firefox or ie, works great in chrome.

    I built a site to submit forms and it's great except that I was just informed it dosnt submit or redirect outside of chrome.

    I am guessing since you mention the Redirect that you are distributing the form as a web form and not a PDF, is that correct?
    I am also guessing you are embedding the form into your own website, is that right?
    You can send me the URL to your site or the form to check out at [email protected]

  • I have macbook pro. The pinch open and close is not working in firefox 4, but works in safari. How can I get that feature back

    To find pinch open and close and how it works in macbook pro go to the apple icon. Open system preferences and the choose trackpad. Each item is illustrated.

    You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    * browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>

  • Flash CS4 not working with Windows 7 64bit and Kaspersky Internet Security

    I have a new i5 core computer running Windows 7 64bit retail. With Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 installed Flash CS4 becomes so unresponsive that it is completely unusable. Uninstall KIS and it works absolutely fine. I've already read on another forum that someone else is experiencing the same issue with the same combination of products. Is anyone else having this problem amd if so how did you solve it? I've posted on the Kaspersky forum with no solution thus far.
    Does Norton work OK with Windows 7(64) and CS4?

    *** PROBLEM SOLVED ***
    Taxxem you are a star. Ideed turning off 'disable external service control' and disabling 'self defense' under 'settings  -options' does indeed bring Flash back to life. Disabling self-defense had the most impact (and causes Kaspersky to grumble somewhat) but disabling external service control also had an impact, albeit much smaller. I'll post this solution against my Kaspersky forum post and hopefully they will do something about it.

  • Conflict with Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 for MAC

    I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 for MAC.
    Its Web anti-virus function does not work well. After enable for a while, it blocks all internet connection.
    I tried many ways, included
    - putting Safari, Itune, ...into KIS's Trust Zone application
    - set Pravacy for KIS control OS X
    but it seems no effect.
    Is there someone getting the same issue with me?
    Any solution?
    Thanks.

    Despite repeated attempts I was unable to install Kaspersky's latest software on a new copy of Mavericks shortly after its release.
    Its installer failed:
    Kaspersky's product may have been updated in the last couple of weeks, but given that developers have had many months to prepare for Mavericks, it calls their competence into question. It's your Mac, install what you want, but the number of problems reported on this site that are directly attributable to using such junk exceed those caused by actual malware by orders of magnitude.
    Protect yourself by observing these few basic principles, not by delegating that responsibility to Kaspersky or anything like it:
    Never install any product that claims to "speed up", "clean up", "optimize", or "accelerate" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite.
    Never install pirated or "cracked" software, software obtained from dubious websites, or other questionable sources. Illegally obtained software is almost certain to contain malware.
    Don’t supply your password in response to a popup window requesting it, unless you know what it is and the reason your credentials are required.
    Don’t open email attachments from email addresses that you do not recognize, or click links contained in an email:
    Most of these are scams that direct you to fraudulent sites that attempt to convince you to disclose personal information.
    Such "phishing" attempts are the 21st century equivalent of a social exploit that has existed since the dawn of civilization. Don’t fall for it.
    Apple will never ask you to reveal personal information in an email. If you receive an unexpected email from Apple saying your account will be closed unless you take immediate action, just ignore it. If your iTunes or App Store account becomes disabled for valid reasons, you will know when you try to buy something or log in to this support site, and are unable to.
    Don’t install browser extensions unless you understand their purpose. Go to the Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions. If you see any extensions that you do not recognize or understand, simply click the Uninstall button and they will be gone.
    Don’t install Java unless you are certain that you need it:
    Java, a non-Apple product, is a potential vector for malware. If you are required to use Java, be mindful of that possibility.
    Disable Java in Safari > Preferences > Security.
    Despite its name JavaScript is unrelated to Java. No malware can infect your Mac through JavaScript. It’s OK to leave it enabled.
    Block browser popups: Safari menu > Preferences > Security > and check "Block popup windows":
    Popup windows are useful and required for some websites, but popups have devolved to become a common means to deliver targeted advertising that you probably do not want.
    Popups themselves cannot infect your Mac, but many contain resource-hungry code that will slow down Internet browsing.
    If you ever see a popup indicating it detected registry errors, that your Mac is infected with some ick, or that you won some prize, it is 100% fraudulent. Ignore it.
    Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
    The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
    OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
    Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
    If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
    Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
    Do install updates from Apple as they become available. No one knows more about Macs and how to protect them than the company that builds them.
    Summary: Use common sense and caution when you use your Mac, just like you would in any social context. There is no product, utility, or magic talisman that can protect you from all the evils of mankind.

  • Kaspersky Internet Security 2009!

    I am on 076876A ( almost two-years n five-months )...Incidentally had to 'Rescue and Recovery' the Windows XP sp2 OS from hidden partition by pressing Lenovo Care button!...Deleted the demo-Norton Internet Security 2005 ( antispyware edition ) using Norton Removal Tool...
    Tried Installing and Activating Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 thrice!...but somehow failed each-time...Upon re-booting the system once the said Installation was over, the message displayed on the top right of the Windows welcome screen - Protected by Kasperky, disappears each time...
    The 'K' icon on the notification area gets blacked-out ( once even after updating the virus signatures and subsequent reboot ) followed by the Windows Warning that the system wasn't protected by the said anti-virus software...
    Are there non-compatibility issues with 076876A's Windows XP sp2 OS that cause Kasperky Internet Security 2009 to be disabled during  Installation and Online-Activation?...( Incidentally Kaspersky  lets just 3 attempts to activate the said software...I have exhausted the limit without even exercising my paid-rights to run the OS protected by KIS 2009! )...
    Do advise!...Thanking You in advance!

  • Has anybody else had any problems running Kaspersky Internet Security 2015?

    I recently installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 on both my Macbook and iMac. Since installing it my system runs so incredibly slow that I had to turn it off. I am awaiting a response from their support but in the meantime I would like to know if anybody else has used this product and if so did you have any problems running it.

    Telling people antivirus is not needed on a mac is  an ignorant comment.
    Actually it is a very knowledgeable comment
    How does Mac OS X protect me?
    <http://www.thesafemac.com/mmg-builtin/>
    The problems you are having are typical of the complaints we see with 3rd party anti-malware products on a Mac.  Many of the long term forum contributors have been using Macs since the previous century (I started in '88).  Many of them are also computer professionals for their day jobs (or before they retired).
    We are NOT parroting the company line.  We have been paying attention to the features in Mac OS X, and the lack of virii on Mac OS X, the performance complaints from users with anti-malware products installed, as well as the kernel panics from anti-malware products.
    The current biggest problem on Mac OS X are browser scareware pop-ups, adware, and trojans that trick users to install them.  And so far, none of the anti-malware products seem to have protected Mac users from the adware and trojans.
