Kaspersky stopped working after 10.9.2 update. Anybody else having the same problem?

After updating to 10.9.2 I noticed that the Kaspersky icon had gone grey. When I opened the application it said " Some components cannot be enabled". I tried un-installing Kaspersky and re-installing but then I got an " Installation failed" message. Kaspersky version is 8.06.863.c.d.g.

You do not need this Antivirus software if you are just running OS X.
Completely uninstall Kaspersky per the instructions on the developer's website.

If you feel compelled to run antivirus on OS X, the ones that have less performance impact on the system are
VirusBarrier Express (found in the Mac App Store).

    Okay. I got it working again by setting it up as a new phone instead of just syncing. Then I backed up. All is good today.

    Had same problem on my iPad2 with the original 8.0 release.  I ended up wiping it completely clean and doing a reset and restore from backup.  That seemed to fix my issues.  I had the same problem when 7 came out and did the same wipe and restore to get everything working well.

    I think I found the reason. On my iMac that is hosting the music library a song already was playing. This seems to block out me from selecting another song though my Apple TV.

  • Can't copy large files anymore after downloading Mavericks, is anyone else having the same problems?

    I did drop my laptop a week ago but I tested everything and the USBs, CD Drive, and Pretty much everything else worked so I don't think it's that. Does anyone have the same problems or any advice for me? I have a Macbook Pro from August 2013

    This problem is often caused by "Google Drive." If it's installed, I suggest you first check for an update. If that doesn't solve the problem, remove it according to the developer's instructions. You may need to boot in safe mode to do so. Back up all data before making any changes.
    If you use Google Drive and don't want to remove it, then try deselecting the option in its preferences to "show status icons." According to reports, that may be enough to stop the Finder from crashing.

    I recently updated my software on my iphone 4 to the iOS 5 and ever since i have had no service. I have been on the phone constantly with at&t tech support and apple. Tech support cannot figure it out and said they think my problem has everything to do with the new software. Apple is saying it has nothing to do with the new software that it is probably something to do with my phone itself but i was not having this problem until i updated the new software. Is anyone else having this same issue and if so any ideas on how to fix it?

    Yeah, it´s happening in normal 3g coverage area, in fact, i used the 3g to download the iOS but after installing it, the phone doesn't get the 3g anymore.
    I tryed the reboot pocess, but it didn't fix it
    I haven't tryed the restore to factory settings process,
    Is there a way to downgrade to iOS 5.1 again?

  • IPhone 5 running iOS 7 suddenly will not connect to the iTunes store app.  Was working fine since the upgrade to iOS 7.  Anyone else having the same problem?

    I upgraded to iOS 7 the other day and everything worked fine.  Today I noticed I can no longer open the iTunes app on my phone.  I used it yesterday to download a few songs and today it gives me a white screen with menu tabs on the bottom that also do not open.  I have tried every suggestion and read all the official apple support items and none of it works.  Anyone else have this problem or have it fixed after you had the same problem?

    My color meter reading only shows ... instead of numbers since the 1.1.1 update. Anybody else with the same problem? Any solutions?

    I think I now understand what is happening:
    Whenever I have the 'Levels' checkbox checked (in the Head-up display), and for the same photo have moved the 'Shadows' control slider (under Highlights and Shadows) away from zero Aperture goes beserk. It maxes out the processor as long as the photo in question is displayed (either full screen, as preview, or in the loupe, although not for the miniatures). At the same time Aperture still stays reasonably responsive.
    In this state, it apparently is not able to manage the calculation and/or display of the RGB values. Since this problem might only occur with certain raw formats I am posting one of my raw files here:

    have a second hand iPhone, now since the new update my text tone which is the Tri-Tone seems to glitch and repeat the first part multiple times very quickly and then carry on every time I receive a text. I'm just wondering if there is anyone else having the same problem or is it just me?

    The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
    The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
    In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem.  Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page.  Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
    If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them. 
    (I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

    I had a form that auto collected data through Adobe but it has stopped working after my Acrobat X Pro did an update.
    The form no longer appears in the tracker. How can this be fixed? I am using Windows 7.
    It would appear that since Adobe are going to be closing the Workspace area in January 2015 that when
    Acrobat did an update the ability to connect to files in the Workspace has been removed.
    Is there any way to reconnect the file back to the Tracker?
    Has anyone else had the same problem?
    Adobe don't seem interested in helping as this question has been posted for three days and yet no response.

    First and foremost thing you can do it is that reset your Firefox and after that change it to safe mode.This may be happening due to venerable links getting downloaded.

    Fixed it. It is on Chevrolet's end. Press config to access the configuration settings. Turn menu/tune knob to highlight vehicle settings. Press menu/tune to select the vehicle settings menu. Choose return to factory settings.

    I downloaded and tried EasyFind. It works but it took 30+ seconds to complete finding 3 files that are on One of my Five 25+ Gb partitions of my 130 Gb Seagate Cuda(Really 160 Gb, but my Sawtooth will only recognize 130) I figured that if I ever got a better box, I could reformat it to see the whole 160 Gb. So, as far as I can see, Spotlight's indexing scheme which finds the files instantly is probably preferable. Spot light allows you to rename your files from within it's app window. I've always thought that was pretty powerful. Could my doing so be causing me any issues? As i said it is the inability to Type in the Finder that seemed to be caused from changing file Extentions that were mis-written. Maybe it was a delayed reaction to my renaming files in the Spotlight app? I've done both on occasion.
    As for these .DS_Store files. Apparently you can NOT stop them from being written to any folder that you touch/open/view during a days session. But, as a function of the OS, are the essential to have in their respective folders Forever? I've looked at the .DS_Store terminator app briefly and assume that getting rid of these files won't hurt the regular operation of my OS. They will just be re-written if I ever have to go back to any particular folder again. But, apparently, some have said that if the plan on burning a CD or DVD of their data, they delete the .DS_Store files first and then do the burn.
    I'm thinking from your having suggested this tremination app that you suspect that my having all of these ,DS_Store files could be a situation where any of them could have become corrupted and terminating them regularly should be part of my regular maintenance.
    Does that sound like I'm understanding what I can do?
