Kazehakase wont remember passwords

I installed Kazehakase from the repository. But it does'nt seem to remember any passwords. When I log on to a website (like this forum) nothing happens, I don't get prompted to save my password, nor does it show up in any file.
Is there some setting that I have missed?

Unfortunately, some of the features in the prefs either aren't usable or fully implemented yet, (password management being one that has been broken for a while). It never bothered me enough when I used Kazehase that I had to type and remember passwords manually
You could always contact the creator or file a bug report, to see what plans they have for fixing password management.

• Wont remember aim password.

My macbook wont remember the password to my aim account. I've deleted it from the keychain several times and re-entered it manually, but for some reason every time it won't remember what my password is it keeps saying "password is incorrect". When I open up the keychain and select show password, the password that is shown is a super long string of characters that looks similar to a program registration key that is not my password. I tried entering my correct password in the keychain manually and that did not work either.
I tried looking around the internet, and can't really find people with similar problems, as for other passwords the keychain remembers the wifi passwords with no problem, but other than that I don't use any other programs that uses the keychain to remember passwords.
This is just an annoying problem I hope I can solve so I wont have to keep logging in manually.

Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file.
If you still have the signons.sqlite file that was used in Firefox 31 and older then you could try to recover the passwords saved in that file (you will lose passwords saved in Firefox 32).
You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file and rebuild the logins.json file.
* reset the <b>signon.importedFromSqlite</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page to the default value via the right-click context menu
* delete the <b>logins.json</b> file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed
When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.
If you keep having problems then delete the logins.json and signons.sqlite and key3.db files.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

• The remember passwords wont stay checked which means I have to reenter every password

firefox is not remembering passwords, when I close and restart firefox the box for remembering passwords becomes unchecked

The login.salesforce.com website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

I click the x it doesn't close..I click 'not now'..'never remember password for this site'..nothing..it wont disappear..If I minimize the window it can disappear until I move the mouse towards the top of the window and it comes back..any ideas?..bug maybe?

Sorry, the place I need to delete my account is in system.  I no longer have an account with Facebook, my 14 days are gone.  Yet I can not delete a Facebook address from my account.  Will let me remove my real email, but not facebooks.

• IPhone 4 wont remember home WiFi network

I had an iPhone 3G and now an iPhone 4. Both would forget my home WiFi network as soon as the phone went to sleep. Sometimes if the phone is put down without it sleeping - it will loose the network and defaults to 3G. It also wont remember the password and keeps asking for it. I can put it in 3 or 4 times before it accepts it. I can switch wireless off and back on again, the phone then remembers the network. Why does this happen?
At work, it always remembers the network with no problems.
I have a 1TB Time Capsule, there is no problem with my MacBook loosing any wireless signal, just the phone.
Everything else is seamless. It seems like a simple problem but I have tried everything. I checked the forums before hand and most had router problems.
Any help please?

I'd love to know the answer to this as well. I live in Korea where WiFi is practically everywhere. If I have WiFi turned-on, my iPhone won't immediately pick up my home network (also a 1tb Time Capsule) when I get home - it will remember network names that it's picked-up from outside. I've tried ignoring other wireless networks in my building. Why isn't there simply an option where you can select a particular WiFi network as your home network without necessarily making it ignore other WiFi networks that you might be using? E.g. at my favorite coffee shop, free WiFi from my carrier (which sometimes covers whole blocks over here).

• When I try to remember passwords the setting for it is faded and I cannot check it.

When I go into Options then Security, the Remember Passwords is faded and I cannot select it. I need this, I have to sign in to my homepage every time, and it shows that it is a saved password. I am new to Firefox and need help.

hello, firefox won't save your passwords when you've set it up to run in permanent private browsing mode ("never remember history" in the options > privacy panel).
Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track

• On V4.0, I am unable to get Firefox to save my passwords for critical websites I use frequently. I have followed the recommended procedures to insure that I am asking Firefox to remember passwords.

I have gone to tools, options, security and have made sure that remember passwords is checked, but I never get the request to save the passwords when accessing websites requiring username and password. I am using Windows 7 Operating System.

I spent hours trying to remedy this yesterday but eventually discovered that if you click twice (not a double-click) in the slot, Firefox shows your name and password. So many things not functioning and/or unexplained in Firefox 4.

• How do I set the newest version of Firefox to remember passwords for websites ?

Well, ... let me restate that. I think my current version DID remember passwords for me but now it doesn't . I access the options and go to privacy and security but it doesn't highlight to allow me to click on " remember passwords........................ " How can I fix this ?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode.
*Tools > Options > Privacy: Use custom settings for history
*Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
You can also check that you aren't starting Firefox with a -private command line switch.
Start Firefox in <u>Safe Mode</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

• How can I make firefox remember passwords on ALL sites?

Firefox has a feature to remember my passwords, which is very useful. However, some sites mess with this so they won't save my passwords. In some cases these sites turn "autocomplete" off for the password field in their html; in other cases they appear to use some kind of javascript magic to stop me from saving my passwords.
First of all, why should websites try to stop me from saving my password? Do they really think its more secure if people have to write their passwords on stickynotes on their monitor to remember them--or worse, use the same password on all sites? I what way is it conceivably more secure? In any case it's MY business how I manage my passwords--not theirs!
I have had some success in battling evil sites that try to stop my from saving my passwords by editing the nsLoginManager.js file. But this is not convenient as I must keep doing this every time firefox gets upgraded, and it doesn't work for some sites like American Express which I think use some sort of javascript to stop me from doing what I want.
So my question is, how can I effectively make firefox remember ALL the passwords I want, when _I_ want to--and NOT obey evil websites that just want to practice CYA while actually making me LESS secure?

You can use the Remember Password bookmarklet: <br />
https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html#remember_password <br /> Has worked for me when I have needed it to save a password on a web site that used autocomplete=off. As far as the Bug that cor-el linked, I can't remember ever running across a website that did it like that.
Or, you can use the Saved Password Editor extension, which includes a means of manually adding Username/Passwords to Firefox. <br />

• How do I save the password for a site for which I have chosen the "never remember password for this site" option?

The first time you enter a password for a site a box pops up under the address bar that has a picture of a key and then the question: "Remember this password?". In the drop box, I chose the option "Never Remember Password for This Site". I can't figure out how to change it so that the password IS remembered.

It sounds like the printer is still trying to retain the old network information.
Try a Hard Reset:
* Unplug printer while unit is turned on
* Unplug other end of power cord from the direct wall outlet
* Wait 30 seconds
* Plug unit back up for power
Reset Network information to Default:
* Press the Wrench/Setup menu button in the top right of the touch display of the printer
* Select the Wireless menu option
* Scroll down to Restore Network Defaults
After restoring the defaults, then try running the Wireless Setup Wizard. Let me know if the unit still does not retain the information.

• My ipod touch 4th gen won't remember passwords

HI everyone,
my ipod touch used to remember passwords, then I had to change some that expired, so I told it to 'forget' passwords, now it won't remember the new ones!
how can I fix that?
thank  you

well, that didn't fix it.
it is more frustrating because the right side letters don't type o portrait orietation, and the school logon screen doesn't go to landscape when I turn it, so I have put my passwords and school id in the notepad so I can copy and paste everyday I am at school
new suggestion??

• I have set up to remember passwords but it is not working. I deleted and changed several passwords but now only some prompted me for remembering the new password

I had set this up and it was working, but I deleted several passwords and set up new ones. Even though it is set up to remember passwords, it does not prompt me on a few sites. One is a hotel company and they do not block saving passwords. The others worked before and I don't think they changed. On most of the sites it worked fine

This can be caused by the Google toolbar.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshooting extensions and themes and Troubleshooting plugins
