[KDE 4.6] No preview when changing color scheme

In systemsettings > appearence > color schemes when change scheme in preview area dysplayed the same scheme, which current set. I test this bug in two machines. On one of them with new kde-profile.

I noticed it too; that is, each preview shows the last active color scheme when I change it.  I've been using 4.6 since RC1, and wanted to wait and see if others had the problem after upgrading to the final release.  A bug report was file a couple weeks ago; you can view it here.

  • Luminosity issue when changing colors

    I want to change the color of a building when I use the color change brush the color looks really washed out IE dark red looking pink. It will correct to the right color if I first use the color brush set on luminosity and then use it set to color but I loose the texture of the building. It is changing the picture more than the color is there another way. Thanks

    You might look into a technique called frequency separation. This would separate your texture and color into two layers so you can change color without effecting the texture. Here's an example:

  • Change color scheme of Terminal in XFCE4 ? *SOLVED*

    The default install of XFCE4 has a terminal with black text on white background. I find it a bit too bright, and its not as easy on the eyes as white text on black bg. When I used to use KDE, the terminal came with 'themes', one of them being 'linux colors', which I have gotten used to.
    Is there any config file I can edit / menu option to change to alter the color scheme of the XFCE4 terminal?
    (I tried xfce4rc and menu.xml, but couldn't find anything regarding color schemes in there)
    Thanks in advance.

  • Changing Color Schemes

    I have a set of animated backgrounds/lower thirds/overlays from Digial Juice that all need to have the color scheme changed to our business' color palette.  Of course, the folks at DJ said this was possible in Premiere, but weren't familiar with the process.  What is the process for changing the color scheme in Premiere Pro 5.5? (I also have Photoshop CS 5 Extended, but am unfamiliar with it, but if that would be more appropriate, please let me know what the process is.)
    Your help is much appreciated.

    Doesn't Digital Juice give you the option of codec to render the animations to?  Mp4 seems like an odd intermediate codec for files that should have an alpha channel.  I could be mistaken, but I don't think alpha channels are supported in standard mp4.
    I thought that those animation loops should be exported form The Juicer™ as uncompressed AVI or QT files with an alpha channel for transparency. An uncompressed file will be better for changing the color palette  with premiere's fx as well.
    Solid colors will be easier to change with proc amp, color replace, fast CC, 3-way CC, tint, color balance RGB, RGB CC, etc.
    Adjusting gradients may be more of a change with those tools.

  • Changing color scheme on Transitions and Themes

    I would like to use the Newscast theme to create an iMovie; however, I CANNOT use the red color scheme for my audience.  How do I change the color scheme for the transitions?
    thanks in advance for any advise!

    sararandazzo8 wrote:
    …  How do I change the color scheme for the transitions?
    short answer: you can't.
    long answer: most animations and 'moving' elements within iM are realized with a technology called QUARTZ. those animations are 'hardwired' in iM. You'd need a Developer-tool, tons of expertise and have to ignore the EULA you signed on installation/usage of iMovie, changing these parts of iLife.
    I tried to change colors and fonts in some preset Titles - technically possible, but not within 'normal' usage
    Make a enhancement suggestion, allowing iM to use plug-ins, add-ons, 'Jam Packs' in future versions of iMovie:

  • Typeface changes automatically when changing color on text within a bullet

    Something very weird is happening when I change the color of the typeface within a bullet. As soon as I click on the new color in the Colors palette, the typeface changes to another typeface (one that doesn't even show up in the Fonts palette, so I don't even know what it is). I went back to make sure the slide master had the correct typeface, which it does, and I have the typeface installed on my computer.
    This does NOT happen when I select the entire bullet, just when I select text WITHIN the bullet.
    Any idea what might be causing this?
    Many thanks for any help you might provide.

    Is there a character style applied to the table or text in the table. I had many issues with this over-riding my paragraph style.

    Are all the faces of the Verdana and Tahoma fonts installed and enabled/activated through the OS (not font mangement) as TTF (not OTF)?
    The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

  • Crash when changing color settings

    InDesign CS3 5.0.3.
    4 machines. 3 are exactly the same hardware-wise with 10.4x. 1 is new with 10.5x.
    I'm changing the color settings for CS3. I put new .csf and .icc files in their proper libraries.
    I change PS color settings on all. Happy happy.
    I change the Bridge "Creative Suite Color Settings" on all. Happy happy.
    2 machines (both 10.4x)--InDesign opens/works fine. The other two don't want to have anything to do with this new color settings---crash crash crash. Delete color settings preference and all is well.
    The situation is the same if I DON'T change the "creative suite color settings" in Bridge and try to change the color settings only in INDD.
    Has anyone else run into something similar?
    Thanks

  • Changing color scheme

    I've built a site using Gazette/elegant templates which automatically gives different pages within the site different pastel shades. I'd like to make the color the same on all the pages. How to do this?

    Welcome to the discussions, Faith.
    iCal provides no way to change the background, nor the colours of the different calendars. However, if you really really want to change the calendar colours, you could try this. I offer no guarantees that the procedure will work for you, but it worked when I tried it. I don't know if it will last across a system shutdown (though I think it will). I really don't recommend it.
    In what follows, "~" represents the "home" directory for your user account.
    iCal stores most of its information in ~/Library/Application Support/iCal. There you will find a file nodes.plist. If you intend trying this, make a copy of nodes.plist first, so that you can put it back if anything goes wrong.
    Quit iCal.
    Double click nodes.plist to open it with Property List Editor.
    Click the triangle to the left of the word Root and it will expand to several items.
    Click the triangle beside the word List and it will expand to one numbered item for each of your calendars.
    Click the triangle beside one of them and it will expand to show several items, one of which is ThemeColor. The value of this is eg "#F57802FF" where the F5, 78, and 02 are the hexadecimal codes for the amount of red, green and blue in the colour. You can double click the #F57802FF (or whatever) and change the codes, then use File/Save (you may need to use File/Save as) to save it.
    Quit the editor and restart iCal.
    You will have noticed that the first item in each of the sets for a calendar is called Key, with a value like 0DC6809C-287F-46BB-9F72-18B7A971D5C1. If you want to know which of the numbered items corresponds to which named calendar, you will have to look in ~/Library/Application Support/iCal/Sources. There you will find one folder for each calendar, named with the value of the key. Open a folder and double-click its info.plist. Click the triangle beside Root and you will see the Title (name) of the corresponding calendar.

  • Easiest way to change color scheme?

    Can anyone give me some tips on the easiest way of changing the background color of ALL of my JComponents? I was hoping that everything was "transparent" by default and changing the background color of the JFrame to white would do the trick but no luck. Before I go through each and every component is there an easier way I should look into first? Thanks in advance!

    You can change the properties for the entire application by adding the following at the start of your class:
    UIManager.put("Panel.background", Color.WHITE);You will need to change each component separately.

  • Syndication mapping when changing XML schema

    I have used a ARTMAS04 XML schema and done mapping in the syndicator and saved the map. Then we are doing changes i SAP R/3 and need to add some extentions in the IDOC and therefor also the XML schema. I then add my new schema with the extentions into the the syndicator, and try to open the mapping. Then the mapping is done using the old schema. This means that if I do a change in an XML schema, I need to to map everything from scratch. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
    Regards John-Kjell

    Hi John,
    The maps saves not only the mappings but also the destination properties for that particular scenario.
    Hence as soon as you change the destination properties i.e your XML schema, and try to open your old map which is using different XML schema your changes will be lost and you will end up with using old XML schema only.
    As far as i know, to handle this situation you have to do all the mappings again.
    Hope this helps.

  • When i open my Canon RAW-files with preview or transfer them to another program using preview they change to color despite the fact that they where all shot in B/W... How to change this?

    When i open my Canon RAW-files with preview or transfer them to another program using preview they change to color despite the fact that they where all shot in B/W... How to change this?

    I shoot only RAW - no JPEG-files except those visualizing the files on my memorycard or computer. I think i have to refine my question;
    1. I know there is possible to make B/W HDR-images.
    2. I know the best HDR images are based on RAW-files.
    3. When i transfer the images in question to a HDR software they change, so when i view them in the software (either Preview or the HDR software) they are suddenly viewed (and processed) in color.
    4. This never happend on my PC so i know it has to do  with either Finder or Preview.
    5. Do i have to make all my B/W HDR-images on the PC or is it a way for me to change how Finder/Preview show/alter my images?
