KDE Custom Color Scheme

I've configured my KDE environment to be more night-coder/Globe background friendly so everything is pretty dark. That has left me with a problem:
Certain text doesn't show up very well. I cannot find the setting to change the every-other-text in the side of Okular or to get comments to look better in Eclipse.
Any help would be appreciated.

For gtk-integration I'd use Qtcurve. Qtcurve has so many different looks. I never had problems with it.

  • Custom Color Scheme in Xcelsius

    Hi all,
I want to create custom Color Scheme in Xcelsius. I have referred the following blog
    [/people/john.kurgan/blog/2009/07/20/obtaining-the-perfect-custom-color-scheme-in-xcelsius-part-2|/people/john.kurgan/blog/2009/07/20/obtaining-the-perfect-custom-color-scheme-in-xcelsius-part-2]
That blog has XML files .I downloaded that XML and put in the following folder.
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Xcelsius\assets\themes\custom
But that Color Scheme is not displaying in Xcelsius.
If I put XML file in the following folder (C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Xcelsius\assets\themes\built-in ) I can use that color Scheme.
    What may be the problem?
    Help me in this regard.

  • Custom color scheme xml not getting used

I have a custom color scheme. I used the advanced settings.
Some of the color scheme settings are getting picked up but I don't think any of the advanced ones are.
The advanced settings ARE getting written to the color scheme's xml document (XcelsiuscustomThemes/mySchemeName.xml
    )... so that's good. Here's an example:
        <ListView>
          <headerStyleName.color>0xE1EFF7</headerStyleName.color>
           <textSelectedColor>0x333333</textSelectedColor>
          <headerStyleName.textSelectedColor>0x333333</headerStyleName.textSelectedColor>
        </ListView>
Is there someplace I need to point to the XcelsiuscustomThemes/mySchemeName.xml ?  So that those styles get used ?
Incidentally, If I edit the programfiles(x86)/.../themes/DefaultMapping.xml document   --  then any changes are reflected... so it seems like I just need to be able to tell xcelsius to use the  XcelsiuscustomThemes/mySchemeName.xml    instead of   the DefaultMapping.xml

  • How do I change the default color scheme in Dreamweaver CS6?

    Hi All
I just updated to CS6 on my work computer from CS5 on my personal computer (preferences and stuff were not transferred), and I'm trying to figure out how I can import my custom color scheme that I was using in CS5. In CS5 I was able to replace the Colors.xml file instead of going through each individual color option. I haven't had the same success with CS6.
In CS5 the Colors.xml file was located at this path (Mac)
    /Users/%name%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS5/%localization(en_US)%/Configuration/CodeColoring
The problem with CS6 is that there is no Dreamweaver CS6 folder at that path after "Adobe/"
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any solutions? Looking at code on a white background is hurting my eyes!

Do you think this maybe has to do with Mountain Lion?
Here's a screenshot of no Dreamweaver CS6 folder in Library/../..
And no, it's not in the "Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium" folder either. I keep going through all of the folders hoping the Dreamweaver cs6 folder will show up, but nothing! Thanks for your help guys. If you think of anything else, please respond!

  • Back up color scheme in KDE4 [SOLVED]

    Hello,
What config files might I back up to easily return to my custom color scheme in case I need to reinstall. I could, of course, just write down every html notation number, but I thought there might be a config file that would make backing it up a bit easier.
       Thanks--

if you saved a color scheme through the settings, on vanilla kde4
    ~/.kde4/share/apps/color-schemes/
you should see something like MyColors.color (*.color files are any ones you've changed or saved)
    i'm guessing .kdemod4 for kdemod

  • How do I make a custom brush image in a gradient color scheme in Photoshop Elements 12?

I want to make a custom brush image in a gradient color scheme.  I know how to change the hue jitter, but I want to "paint" the image with a gradient between two colors.  For example, I have an image of an octopus that I have used to create a custom brush.  I want the top of the octopus to be hot pink and gradually fade into a deep orange at the end of the tentacles.  Everything I've looked up just colors the background.  Thanks in advance!

    Try the following:
    Open the octopus image
Open a Gradient Map Adjustment layer above this. There are several preset gradients, but in my version of the program I don't see one with pink to orange.
When you double click on the gradient bar in the Adjustments palette, this will open up the Gradient Editor, where you can tailor the gradient to your specifications with color and opacity stops. (see below)
This will apply the gradient to the entire picture. However, the adjustment layer has a built-in mask (the white rectangle).
Left click on this and paint with a black brush to hide the gradient outside of the octopus. If you go too far, you can correct with a white brush.
Now, as to the Gradient map adjustment layer, here is how to configure it:

  • Customizing Appearance Available Window Themes/Color Schemes?

    *_<Customizing Appearance> Available Window Themes/Color Schemes?_*
I'm planning to get a MacBook Pro very soon. I have never used Mac OS, and I would like to know if it is possible to select custom window themes/color schemes?
*I'm an old WinXP Vet, and I would very much miss the ability to use custom coloring for windows and/or menu bars.*
Here is an example scheme for WinXP I currently use:
*My eyes get less tired when I have a mainly black/dark background, and light buttons/text.*
I would appreciate anyone with information.

Customizations/themes for Leopard are at the moment I think thin on the ground. For Tiger there are plenty. Some people though are reluctant to install them. I used a product called Shapeshifter while on Tiger and never had an issue with it though many did. The have not yet updated for 10.5

I noticed it too; that is, each preview shows the last active color scheme when I change it.  I've been using 4.6 since RC1, and wanted to wait and see if others had the problem after upgrading to the final release.  A bug report was file a couple weeks ago; you can view it here.

    There isn't a .gvimrc in /etc.
I also tried creating it (and .vimrc) and linking them to the one in my home, but it didn't work.
The config files are not hidden in /etc. Thus it is not /etc/.gvimrc but /etc/gvimrc.
This file should be there, it was installed by the gvim package.
By the way, from where do you load your color scheme, global (/usr/share/vim/colors) or local (./vim/colors)? It appears that KDE messes up the environment when starting an application from the menu.
(I can't check this now as I'm using IceWM currently.)

  • How do you set up a custom color for the standard screen mode

This new colour scheme has not enough contrast for it to be readable, so I was pleased to find custom screen mode. However, there seems to be no way of setting up a custom color for this. In addition, the icons are so small they are unreadable. Is there any way of making them bigger. I have a 20" and a 22" monitor working together, but they are still not clear enough to use.

    Hi there
Are you referring to the tool icons in Photoshop CS6? There are a few options you can change to help make the interface more readable, but unfortunately, there is not an option to enlarge the tool icons.
It sounds like you may have discovered this already, but if you go to Photoshop > Preferences > Interface, you can change the color of the Photoshop CS6 interface.
You can also enlarge the UI text size in this same window, in the Text preferences box.
You can also make the size of your layers thumbnails larger. You can do this by clicking on the small menu in the upper right hand corner of the Layers Panel and selecting Panel Options.
Here you can change the size of the layers thumbnails.
I hope this helps you out a bit!

  • Auto Apply Custom Color Palette to photo?

    I have two questions:
    1) Is there a way to automatically capture colors from a photo to automatically create a custom color palette? (for example, if I want a color palette of 20 colors, it would automatically pick 20 colors and create a palette).
    2) Is there a way to take a custom color palette, and automatically apply that palette to a photo?
(I don't want to just use the color picker to choose my colors....I am looking for automation)
    Thanks!

I'm not sure... maybe I could use index colors.... I will look into that. I have found some "color palette generators" online, which I need to investigate also. I just thought that maybe there was a feature directly in photoshop that might work.
Attached are sample images. I would like to automatically take a color palette from the lilies, and apply those colors automatically to the forest. I would like the forest to have the same color scheme as the lilies, so that the two images would look very similar.

  • Form Colur with different Color Schemes

    Hi,
When loading a new form from a xml file, SBO (6.5) doesn't use the color from the selected color scheme.
Ther are no properties exposed in the form object to adjust the colour in code.
Is a certain value required as the color (e.g. -1) in the xml file to enable an auto color mode?
    Thanks,
    Gerold

I haven´t see any property for changing the forms color. I suppose you could access the srf file and change the color after you load your custom form.
What points me to another question... Which color should you use ? Perhaps save an existing form as xml, and then read the color property... it seems quite a lot of work for the functionallity.
By the way, in the SBO GUI the color is set for each form. You can have a grey form and a blue form together.

  • How to customize Flash Chart color scheme (Look 1 etc..)

    Hi,
Is their any way I can customize the Flash Chart color schemes (Look 1, Look 2). I know there's a "Custom" option but I'd like to define what Look 1 is so that I don't need to use custom values for each chart.

  • Base color of logo, color scheme

I am studying logo design via tutorials and the like and came across this fun logo:
    http://www.ritasfranchises.com/images/CoolCatering_780x295.jpg
My questions are: What is the base color in the color scheme? You would think it would be green, but the shadowed part of the ribbon is actually a saturated form of the magenta.
Secondly, what sort of color scheme is this? Using Kuhler I can't get all three colors unless I simply input them using "custom." It would be nice to know on what principles the color scheme was generated.

It might not be generated using any colour scheme or informed colour theory. The colours could have been sampled or approximated from an existing logo or graphic the designer liked. The client might have even chosen the colours, hard to say.
