KDE Microblogging plasmoid not working with twitter anymore

Can anyone get twitter working with KDE microblogging plasmoid? Since yesterday evening it stopped updating in my case and now when I try to log in I just get an error instead of my feeds.

Ahh I had a feeling that it might be due to a change in the twitter api. But I can't get it to workn with the new feed either.

Domain not working with AFP anymore

I have Lion Server on a Mac Mini Server with VPN and WEB services enabled... Everything was working fine, then all the sudden I cannot access my AFP shared Drives or my server via my domain. My Domain is hosted through GoDaddy, and the A Host Record is set to my IP address (Main IP not internal Network IP). This is how it was setup before and it worked, and now its not working...
I used to be able to type in www.domainname.com and it would bring up a login so I can remotely access my server files, but now it doesn't work at all... even though the Web and FIle Sharing services are running and nothing has changed...
Any ideas?

I have checked and double checked and my Ports are open and services are running, and my domain is pointed to my IP address (External IP), but I still cannot seem to bring up even the server side pages via the internet. I don't know what changed, but it was working and now its not... Very fustrated...

AIM not working with iChat anymore

(First of all, I'm not sure why this forum only says iChat 3, because when I click on about iChat, I have version 4)
I used to use iChat with AIM and now it has stopped working. It still works with my gmail chat account, but it won't log into my AIM account ever. It always tries logging in a bunch of times and disconnects and then says "you have tried to log in too many times in a short while." It has been doing this for a couple months, but I haven't bothered to try to fix it until now. (I moved to England recently-- I'm not sure if it coincided with that or not but I don't see why it should).
Any ideas?

Try logging on to AIM on port 443 rather than port 5190.
Go to IChat in the menu bar > Preferences > Accounts.
Log out of AIM and then use the Server Settings tab
Set the port to 443.
Log back in again.

External SSD drive not working with mavericks anymore!

The second I upgraded to Mavericks and used my external SSD drive, my external drive stopped working. I also doesnt want to initialize anymore either in disk utility! Can someone from apple please tell me whats going on?

HP Photosmart R725 not working with iPhoto anymore

When I originally purchased my camera in January it worked perfectly with my iPhoto software on my iBook G4, a couple weeks ago it stopped loading the camera and photos. The application opens when I plug the computer into the USB port, while off and when I turn it on iPhoto opens but the camera does not appear on the list and it doesn't upload photos automatically, or at all. Also, if i unplug my camera from the USB while it's on the camera will pop up in the list but when I try and plug it back in, iPhoto stops responding on me and I have to force quit the application. I've tried different methods of turning on the camera while plugged in and unplugged and opening iPhoto in different ways. I'm wondering if it's the software as there are no more updates outside of purchasing the whole iLife package. If anyone has any insight into this problem please let me know. I love my camera but this is just ridiculous cuz I have several photos saved and have no way of loading them. I've tried updating as I have version 5.0.4, but no luck, probably cuz I'd need to buy iLife, but I just wanna get this to work. Or if anyone knows of problems with the camera itself that I'm not aware of please feel free to share that information so that I can make a better decision as to what to do. Thanks.

As a last resort maybe you should try using Apps > Image Capture to download your photos into a folder on your desktop and import the folder into iPhoto...
Open Image Capture and check preferences...

Mini-DVI does not work with DVI anymore only VGA output

Hi,
I recently started to get problems with external LCDs. It used to work just fine, but now I can only use a mini-DVI-VGA adapter to get any output. This gives me much worse results than digital and makesme a little worried, other things might also stop s
working.
A quick search here and on google didn't give me any ideas how to fix this.
So any help is much appreciated!

What printer? Does the page appear correctly in Print Preview? What happens when you try to print?

Projectm doesn't work with amarok anymore.

Not the most urgent issue in the world. I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else.

projectm is not working with amarok anymore because the package has been split in libs, xmms plugin and libvisual plugin. also as projectm now requires libvisual 0.4.0 it cannot be built for arch yet. many apps including amarok are not yet properly ported to libvisual 0.4.0 so we stick with 0.2.0.
amarok 1.4.1 in particular has libvisual 0.4.0 support but as a matter of fact crashes a lot when it is enabled. tpowa patched it back to use libvisual 0.2.0 because of that.
in essence, projectm currently does not work with amarok.

Look to the app developer to provide that information when browsing the iTunes Store.
The iPod Touch still works, so what's your problem with it? It still works with older apps, it still does what it's intended to do.
If you aren't happy then sell it and buy a new one.

Contact NIK for updated/upgraded versions of their plug-ins. They have been having a lot of issues with their plug-ins.

External USB HD does not work with HAL:

From the last 10 days the HAL auto-mount with ntfs-3g file system of my external hard drive does not woks.
But the manual mount procedure with the command mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb* /mnt/XYZ works.
I've followed the instructions in the wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HAL and the system has worked up to the last kernel or HAL update.
My fat32 usb-stick works without any problem.
If I try to open the device with KDE it appears an error popup wit this message:

I have done the following:
Downloaded the patched hal version.
used makepkg in /abs/local/trunk/ to create a pkg for pacman
used sudo pacman -U pkgname to install it.
used sudo nano /etc/hal/fdi/policy/preferences.fdi to create the fdi file with the following content:
saved the file and removed my ntfs entryes from fstab and rebooted. and still there is no automount off ntfs partitions.
have i done something wrong?

WARNING: what follows is a guide of what did work for me, I'm still in an early stage of learning linux, so please correct me if anything of what follows is wrong/dangerous/stupid. As I said, this worked for me, it's not pretty, since I was learning each step on the fly and I'm sure there are better ways to do this.
So fjodork, you seem to have done the the necessary steps, though i couldn't get it to work until i first removed hal without dependencies
pacman -Rd hal
it will give you some warning about the dependencies, ignore it since we are reinstalling hal in a few steps.
First i tried to follow Raymano's link, obviously it showed me nothing in the browser so I thought it might be a broken link.
So I downloaded the source tarball from here http://hal.freedesktop.org/releases/hal-0.5.10.tar.gz
unpacked it changed the /tools/hal-storage-mount.c as per Milfadoodle's instructions.
at first I tried to compile directly from source, the process would finish without a glitch though after reboot nothing changed, as if hal weren't
installed, i guess there were issues with paths. anyway read on
Then repacked the source in tarball, copied it to /var/abs/extra/system/hal and modified the PKGBUILD as follows

When I updated my iPod to the new os, it does not work with my ford sync system anymore. how do I fix this?

Have lots of issues with Fords MySync and here's some info that might help....
Using ford sync interface, goto the phone section, then settings, and look if your iPhones name is listed, if so select the phone name thru sync interface and remove/delete it from the sync list, then go thru the Bluetooth pairing process again.
If that doesn't work, do the same on the iPhone, select ford sync entry in Bluetooth and remove sync or forget this device on the iPhone and then go thru Bluetooth pairing again.
If that doesn't work Power off iphone ( not sleep) hold power button till you see red slider to power off. Then restart iphone, try pairing up again.
If that doesn't work go back to MySync and goto phone settings and use the up-down slider till you see sync master reset. Confirm then go thru BT pairing again.
If that doesn't work there is a fuse for the my sync system. Fuse box is usually behind kick panel of front passenger seat side for the Mustang #3, its behind a paper black cover. Remove fuse for 5-30 secs then replace.
Lastly, make sure your MySync Firmware is the latest vers. Mines 4.0.2 goto fords MySync support page to check

A google search might help for your model and year if not a newer mustang and you couldn't get to ford.

I only synch and do not stream off of my 1st Gen AppleTV
I will try with ethernet but will be a pain in the butt if i can not fix it with wifi for long term fix
I may end up trying to do a named IP address vs DHCP for this appleTV (not sure if i can do both and do not want to remove DHCP as i have a bunch of sensors and other devices that I prefer to dynamically add to the network via DHCP vs. assign each one
Will keep working on other fix options (factory reset, etc.)

We are using document mode 9 for HTML 5 in the master page but the SharePoint send to button is not working with ie 9.
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue.

SharePoint 2010 doesn't use HTML 5, so its possible that the browser is running in quirks mode. Try the default compatibility mode and see if that works for you.
