We just put KDE 4.1 into our new [core] repo and also re-enabled our KDE3 packages

Finding which OWA packages are available for use in the schema/database

When I type in the following in SQLplus:
select owa_util.get_version from dual
It returns with
GET_VERSION
9.0.4.0.1
Is it possible to write a query that tells me which OWA packages are included in version 9.0.4.0.1

However what I want it to do is successfully run the following code from the package:

Currently when I run it the browser displays:

Package not available on Production

Hi Gurus,
i am in a big problem. i had a package which consisted all the Z-developments done in SAP DMS at the time of implementation but now when we are moving to ECC 6.0 upgradation, i do not able to find that package. Without the package on production system how could the programs running? The packages are available on Development server.
Just i wanted to know that how could the packages be deleted from the production system? how to track that who has deleted the same?

I think that the Z-Package needs to be transported maybe separatly to your production system. Unforutnatly I'm not a transport expert and so I cannot send you more detailed information on this issue.

Preview builds Slow or Fast options available again

Just when I thought 9926 would be the last preview build until the RTM version is released, today, after installing update KB3035129, Slow or Fast options are available again.
I also understand that build 9931 and 9932 are offered to MSFT.
Does that mean we are going to get another preview build before the rtm is released ?

More than one in fact. I can't find the link but someone from MSFT stated
that the only reason we had to wait so long between 9879 and 9926 was due
to the holiday break and that we'd be seeing more frequent releases moving
forward. Also, if you watched the live stream event you would have seen
that JoeB referred to/demonstrated loads of feature that aren't in 9926 and
that we could expect to seem them in future builds in the coming months.
Not sure where you'd get the impression that we weren't getting any more
builds before RTM.

SharePoint Reporting Services, No Credentials are available in the security package

Hi all,
I have problem to solve regarding rendering Reports inside SharePoint. Scenario as follows.
1. There are two domains with two-way trusted connections. We have confirmed it finding users for both domains in the people pickers
2. Kerberos has been configured in SharePoint
3. Users from the domain that SharePoint is installed can render reports inside SharePoint but users from the other domain get following error when they try render reports.
4. users from the other domain can render reports when they browse direclty to the admin tool of reporting-services server.
5. users from the other domain can run klist and get a about 15 tickets.
this is the error the users from the domain get when they try render report inside SharePoint.
An Error has occured during reporting processing (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot create a connection to data source 'theSourceSSAS' (rsErrorOpeningConnectiong)
Authentication failed
No Credentials are available in the security package

From the error message, it seems that the issue is due to the accounts in another domain has no permission to access the data source theSourceSSAS.
I recommend to use Stored credential when creating the data source and then check the results.
Please also check if the Claims to Windows Token Service is running with Local System account.
If not, please make sure that the account running this service has the permission below:
Act as part of the operating system.
Impersonate a client after authentication.
Log on as a service.

If you are asking such questions Arch is most likely not the answer. And yes, user space programs might be too old for the new kernel or pacman might just not work in the first place due to other changes on our side.

You can make your own to some extent by borrowing an old web approach where you just overlay your panels so the front one (the 'dialog') is over the top of your content. You have to roll your own glasspane, close buttons, etc (but on the plus side they are then easy to style) and also it's not a true popup so if your dialog doesn't fit in the containing window it will not float outside of it.

On a stylistic front, I would also suggest only using dialogs for very small popup-style questions and avoid them for anything major. In my opinion the web has shown us that simpler is better - just go to a new 'page' (i.e. replace the main content of your view) if your 'dialog' is more complex and allow them to tab or 'forward/back' between each view. Swing was a far superior and more powerful UI technology than html/web ever was or ever could be and yet HTML knocked us out of the water by being very simple for users and also pretty-out-of-the-box. There's some lessons for us Java desktop developers there as JFX2 ushers us into the modern development eco-system. :)

In oracle documentation it is mentioned that:
Filled redo log files are available to LGWR for reuse depending on whether archiving is enabled.
*> If archiving is disabled (the database is in NOARCHIVELOG mode), a filled redo log file is available after the changes recorded in it have been written to the datafiles*.

What packages are required for an 11.2.0.3 install on Solaris 11?

Where can I find information on which packages are required to install Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Solaris 11?
The documentation only mentions Solaris 10. I tracked down the packages required for Solaris 10, and most of them are either included in the GA release of 11 or obsoleted.
There are however a couple of packages that are missing from the base install of Solaris 11:
SUNWarc (renamed to):
     * consolidation/osnet/osnet-incorporation (installed)
     * developer/library/lint (missing)
SUNWhea (renamed to):
     * consolidation/osnet/osnet-incorporation (installed)
     * system/header (misising)
So it looks like developer/library/lint and system/header are packages from required for Solaris 10 that are missing on 11. The installer however doesn't check for any packages whatsoever.
Does that mean it's safe to install the database?

Oracle 11g x64 packages are not being downloaded completetly, why?

Hi geeks, I was trying to download Oracle 11G releases to run on my Win7x64 but the packages are downloading up to 327Mb and stop. Off course WinRar says file is corrupt if I try to open them.
But I have earlier downloads for Win7x32, will it run on 64 bit machine if I install them?

Not many. As a rule, if you don't have a channel in your package, the "free" movies aren't free. You can check available channels at the following link if you haven't already.
