KDM unable to show background image

In KDM i am setting the background image option. BUt it does not show any picture
also I have observed an error mark (trianlge with Question mark) on the computer icon on the top right corner.
I am not able to trace what is the problem.

i am using a picture from my disk. I selected even in the slide show mode. In the preview it  shows the pictures but when i go the kdm login screen it only shows the background color selected.
kde-wallpapers is installed but not kdeartwork-wallpapers. Becase it 100 Mb
Yes, it's pretty big, but you'll need it. Otherwise try using a 'picture from your disk' for KDM too.

  • User in unable to change background image/theme

    Hello,
    I am currently working with a user who is unable to change is background image it only shows a black background. He is currently on Windows 7 Enterprise Edition
    We have tried the following troubleshooting steps:
    1. Ran full system scan with no results
    2. Ran sfc /scannow
    3. Ran diskchk
    4. Copied over new TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
    5. Checked Power Options - Checked desktop background settings - expaneded slideshow and made sure Plugged in option is set to Available
    6. Checked that Remove Background images is not selected in Ease of Access Center
    We go not have a group policy set to disable the changing of the wallpaper and he is the only user with this issue.
    Any assitance would be greatly appreciated. Source:

    Thank you,

    Hi sshah210,
    Try this registry key method .
    Navigate to the following path :
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Wallpaper
    Choose a picture path and configure it .
    If the issue persists , I agree with S.Sengupta.We can create another account to have a check .
    Best regards

  • Safari doens't show background Image when sliding page left

    I display a web page with a large-width photo (say 2000 pixels jpg file) & a repeat small background image in mobile Safari & the right part of photo is beyond the screen.
    I touch & slide the page left to see right part but found there's no background image below the right part but only white blank background.
    Does anyone know how to make Safari display the background image below the right part?

    I display a web page with a large-width photo (say 2000 pixels jpg file) & a repeat small background image
    Does this mean that the large photo IS the background and set to repeat via CSS or HTML? In this case Safari might cut off the image that is not within the viewable bounds of the web page for memory reasons. Just a thought.

  • Unable to place background image in masthead

    Hi All,
    I intend to add a backgroud image to masthead in Portal. For that I have made changes in the .par file.
    The changes are as follows
    In the images folder of my project I have placed the mylogo.gif file and
    <TD class="prtlHeaderNotch" id="header_notch" nowrap><img src="<%=themeRootURLPath%>/../common/1x1.gif" class="prtlHeaderNotchImgWidth"></TD>
    has been changed to
    <TD class="prtlHeaderNotch" id="header_notch" nowrap><img src="MastHeadProject\dist\images\mylogo.gif";></TD>
    When I run the application then I am unable to see the image instead a red cross appears.
    I have checked the path
    usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.nikhil.masthead\images\
    and the image mylogo.gif is present there.
    Where am I going wrong.
    Please help.
    Points assured.
    Regards
    Nikhil Bansal

    Hi
    This is a correction to my previous post.
    The path
    <TD class="prtlHeaderNotch" id="header_notch" nowrap><img src="<%=themeRootURLPath%>/../common/1x1 gif" class="prtlHeaderNotchImgWidth"></TD>
    has been changed to
    <TD class="prtlHeaderNotch" id="header_notch" nowrap><img src="/images/mylogo gif" class="prtlHeaderNotchImgWidth"></TD>
    But no success.
    Someone plz help.

  • Hidden knob still shows background image

    Hi guys,
    angle controls seem to have strange behavior when hidden and when the effect is saved as Fx preset, or simply deleted and then re-created by undoing the deletion.
    I tried to reproduce it in as simple a way as possible:
    - add the following case in the switch of the EntryPointFunc of the example Effect/Paramarama of the SDK:
    case PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI:
                        AEGP_SuiteHandler suites(in_data->pica_basicP);
                        A_Err err = A_Err_NONE, err2 = A_Err_NONE;
                        AEGP_EffectRefH effectH          = NULL;
                        ERR(suites.PFInterfaceSuite1()->AEGP_GetNewEffectForEffect(0, in_data->effect_ref, &effectH));
                        if (effectH)
                                  AEGP_StreamRefH streamH          = 0;
                                  ERR(suites.StreamSuite2()->AEGP_GetNewEffectStreamByIndex(0, effectH, ANGLE_DISK_ID, &streamH));
                                  if (streamH)
                                            ERR(suites.DynamicStreamSuite2()->AEGP_SetDynamicStreamFlag(streamH, AEGP_DynStreamFlag_HIDDEN, FALSE, true));
                                            //Release the handle
                                            ERR2(suites.StreamSuite2()->AEGP_DisposeStream(streamH));
                                  ERR2(suites.EffectSuite2()->AEGP_DisposeEffect(effectH));
              break;
    - build and apply Paramarama to a solid, the angle control won't be visible:
    - then delete the effect
    - Undo the operation, I get this:
    This only seems to happen in this case or when the effect is saved as Animation Preset.
    Am I doing something wrong in the code that hides the control? I wrote this quickly and it's not the actual code I had issues with, but the same issue occurs so that's the most important. I read another thread on the forum wher controls would re-appear in such situations, but the issue was different and related to parameter groups.
    Thanks

    Hi Shachar, thanks for the answer.
    No, I added some breakpoints to check that and I seem to be getting the effectH and streamH properly, and err and err2 remain equal to zero.
    But still: you can see that everything gets indeed hidden, except the background image!
    Am I doing something very wrong or am I forgetting to ask AE to update the param? I'm having trouble believing nobody ever came across something like that, I guess I must be missing something.
    Thanks again,
    Kevin
    EDIT: I forgot to say that actually when you hit Undo or load an Fx preset it seems that AE displays the plugin the exact way it was saved, and that is before it calls PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI.
    So basically, AE is recreating the instance of the effect as displayed in my second screenshot and the code in my PF_Cmd_UPDATE_PARAMS_UI case has then no effect on the UI.

        height:100%;
        width:433px;
        text-align:left;
        z-index:700;
    <div id="colBg2">

Nam liber tempor cum soluta nobis eleifend option congue nihil imperdiet doming id quod mazim placerat facer possim assum.</p>
      </div>
    </div>
    What this is supposed to do is show background image colBg2.png as a column extending from the top of the viewport to the bottom, whether there's enough text to fill it or not. If it doesn't, then it shouldn't produce a scrollbar. It uses 100% vertical height hacks, as demonstrated in the code above.
    When there's more text than the viewport can handle, there's a scrollbar, and the colBg2 successfully scrolls along with the text contained in colText. HOWEVER... when that background scrolls upwards so we can go down the page, it stops tiling. It stops wherever the viewport ends.
    If I stretch the window to reveal more of the column, no problem. It tiles just fine, and extends all the way to the end of the screen. But not if I scroll down.
    Anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong with this code, or if there's an obvious fix that isn't occuring to me?

    I was just about to prepare that for you guys when I had a quick flash to try applying the background image directly to the table instead
    of a containing div. I'm sure there was a reason I used a containing div to begin with, but can't for the life of me remember why right now. I'm sure it'll hit me at some point and I'll probably be back here when it does, but so far eliminating the containing div altogether has produced the desired effect. =)

  • Secured WAR shows no images

    My webapp packed as a WAR file worked fine until I included security constraints in web.xml. Now embedded images are no more shown in the browser. I don't have a clue why. Here´s exactly what I included:

    <web-resource-name>Admin Tool</web-resource-name>

    Did I forget some tags I don't know about to allow images to be viewed? Anyone got a hint?
    Thanks

    Same problem here.
    I have a secured WAR using form-based login, but am unable to show any images in the login.jsp ?
    When the application is started & you try to access a secured page, the login page is displayed correctly, but the actual image is not loaded ? After you authenticated, instead of showing me the requested
    page, it shows me the image ?? If I remove the image link from the login.jsp, everthing works fine.
    I am using WLS6.0. The security example in samples\webapp works nicely, but isn't based on WAR's. Is this a known bug in WLS or is there a security example using WAR's & form-based login available ?
    Thanks

  • How to stretch background image, How to change show detail item header

    Hello all I have a few questions I would like to pose humbly to your collective wisdom, FYI I use Jdeveloper 11.1.3 and ADF Fusion
    First, how do I stretch the background Image? I have a background image in a show detail item but it is very small. 400 by 400. Thing is it's just a pic of the color red gradually moving from bright to dark in the image. So stretching it should not make it look horrible, but also repeating it makes it look silly, because you have 50 little images of dark red to bright red, instead of one big image of dark red to bright red. Can this be done and how?
    Secondly how do I change the header of the show detail item in a Panel Accordion? I have 8 Show detail items, in the middle of my page and the user can click and switch between which one is open, which makes for a nice effect, but I would like to give each of the show detail items a particular color. I did this with the backgrounds but I can't do it with the header, which are always visible, while only one background is visible at a time. I tried using the skinning technique but I wasn't able to change the header (I changed the background so the skinning was done correctly). I used
    af|panelAccordion::header
      color: blue;
      font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
      background: Maroon;
      background-color: Maroon;
    }Because I read in the Fusion Guide (or somewhere) that the show detail item cannot be skinned and therefore doesn't have a property like af panel Accordion.
    Can it though be achieved through some other means?
    Third when I drop the data control on the page and if I pick search form, why can't I use the CreateInsert button? Why can't I use the form to Create new rows? It keeps giving me some type of error, like Row is out of bounds or something? Is that some mistake with my database, or page, or is it not possible to do it like that?
    I welcome your words of guidance and also happy new year Huzzah!!!

    Thanks I haven't really had time to play around with this, as I have other concerns, but I do plan on coming back to it, and it is one of the things about ADF that really is bothersome. Creatively it means I can choose between 2 styles when making an app Blaf Rich and Fusion (the other ones are just worse versions of the two) while I will concede that the superb out of the box functionalities and things I can do declaratively probably mean I won't have a Dreamweaver type freedom of design I thought there might be a way to do some of these custom design changes.
    A few questions though
    When you skin the accordion are you able to propagate the changes to show detail item headers? Because that is one thing that I really want to change, just the color of the headers but I was unable to do so.
    Also there is a component that is not part of a panel accordion or panel tabbed called panel box. Again I changed the backgrounds to great effect but I need to change the panel header and in this I failed.
    Granted I used the css color attribute for both not a picture so maybe that is the reason. Just wondering if you succeeded.
    Cheers

  • Unable to use an image in a DVD menu background

    I've been unsuccessful in using an image as the background in the DVD main menu in PE 9.  The image shows up correctly in the preview, but not in the burned DVD.  I'm a long time user of PE 2.0 and never had this issue.  I've tried different image sizes (720x486, 720x480, 640x480), different image formats (jpg, bmp, psd), and different menu templates with no success.  The only thing that worked was specifying a frame out of the video.  Please help so I don't create any more drink coasters!

    Barry,
    Welcome to the forum.
    This appears to be a Bug in PrE 9, and there are several threads on the same issue. It seems that some Menu Sets perform OK, some will not accept a new background image, and some will accept it for either the Main, or the Scene Selection Menu, but not both.
    I'll find a few of those, and link to this thread, for your reading. In the meantime, I would suggest filing a Bug Report with Adobe, so that they will know to work on correcting this problem.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How to show a background image in the Forms 6i MDI window?

  • Spry vertical menu button shows background color instead of image in preview

    Hello All, I'm a newbie (to the forum and Dreamweaver) so my apologies if my question is not in good form.  I've searched for this issue but cannot seem to find the exact problem I have.
    I've created a website (my first) and used the spry menu bar.  It works well using the default blue and grey colors for button and hover.  However, I decided I want to spruce it up a little and change the buttons to use a background image (rainbow pattern) instead of background color.  I internet researched this for some time and watched all the youtube videos people have posted for this process and editing the spry vertical menu bar CSS.  Using the .a and hover lines from the CSS, I was able to add my background .jpg image file.  In the design view, the button look exactly how I want them to.  However, when I attempt to preview in IE, Chrome, or FF, the buttons still have the default colors and no image.  I've gone back and deleted the default blue and grey, but then the preview just shows dark grey and white for the buttoms.  is there something that I am overlooking that would cause the background color to show instead of the image I have attached to the buttons.  I can't figure out why it looks right in DW but not in preview.
    BTW, I'm editing a template file and all the pages are updated with the new image buttons, but none of the pages show correctly in preview.
    Thanks

    I'm trying to connect my macbook pro to my TV...I'm using the yellow RVA video cable... When I connect the cables my background image will show up on the TV, but none of my icons will. The image just stays there no matter what I open up on the screen.

    Are you using 'Extended Desktop' (sounds like you are) or 'Mirroring' (in which case the same image should show on both screens) ?
