Keep getting crashes with EXC_BAD_ACCESS - tried everything

Dear BB'ers,
Having tried everything I have seen in the BB's and I need advice on what to do next. I keep getting application crashes with the following log entry:
Exception: EXCBADACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERNINVALIDADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x0bbbe000
(Toast 7, iViewMedia Pro, CD spin Doctor, DVD player, Eudora, Finder, Firefox.....) OSX 10.4.8
The problem was intermittent but seems to be getting worse. I can induce a consistent crash with Toast when creating a DVD from DivX files and have used this as a diagnosis.
I have tried:
1. Techtools pro - no probs reported with memory
2. memetest - run in safe mode to access max memory - no probs reported
3. Booted from another HD with a clean version of the OSX (Still 10.4.8) to make sure it was not the system - Toast (different example of the software) still crashed.
4. Removed half the memory - still crashes
5. Swapped with the other memory chips to run on that other half - still crashes
6. Verified the discs with Disk Utility
Any ideas as to what might be the cause and what else I can try...?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi, David.
See my "Multiple applications quit unexpectedly or fail to launch" FAQ for advice on troubleshooting this issue.
This is usually a software, rather than hardware, issue.
Good luck!
