Keep getting 'error -1309' trying to transfer file---getting desperate

Trying to deliver a .avi from edited show to a client so they can load on to their server for play back. Hopefully not the problem except been trying to get it to them for the last 2 days and cannot get this to work. MUST have for them by 7am tomorrow...and no closer to resolving this.
Here's the deal---formatted a 160 gig FW 400 drive (disc utilty) MS/DOS, then trying to copy my output (I dumped it out of FC 5.1.4 to one of my drives) .avi to the MS/DOS drive and it gets thru about 20 of the 28 min. it says it needs and throws a 'error -1309' ('file's EOF, offset, mark or size is too big', whatever that helpful bit of info means ) and stops.
Now it copied smaller files 2-3 gig no problem. But the full show which is 41 gig's won't go. TRied 3 other external dives and cases all MS/DOS, reformated and same thing.
Going to see if I can just do the output straight to the DOS drive instead of copying, but jezusonabike, I've done this pleanty before. And the output/encode takes about 4-5 hrs for the 17min HD show of course.
Didn't think there was a limit on Win/DOS file sizes, but any thoughts appriciated.

MS-DOS formatted drives have a file limit size of 2 GB (FAT 16) to 4 GB (FAT 32).
NTFS formatted drives (under Windows) do not have this limitation, but OSX won't write to them.
Mac OS Extended formatted drives are your only real option to write out the file, but PCs do not natively understand the Mac HFS+ format.
Still, you are in luck - there is a bit of software called >>MacDisk<<that runs on the PC to allow it to make sense of Mac formatted drives.

I get an error saying that selected videos will not play on the iPhone. They were purchased from iTunes and have been played on the phone previously.

I am trying to transfer files from my MacBook (source) running OSX 10.7.5 to my IMAC (target) running OSX 10.9.1. Machines connected by ethernet cable. On Target machine I get "Looking for other sources" and on source machine I get "Looking for other computers". Both have clockwise spinning wheel.

If you are connecting the two computers directly to each other with an ethernet cable, you need a special "crossover" cable to swap the send/receive pins so the data sent from one computer arrives on the "receive" pins on the other end of the cable, not on the "send" pins that you get with a straight cable.
Incorrect, you do not need a special crossover cable. Any cable will do.

Have you tried doing it the other way? Run Migration Assistant on the Mac? I haven't used a PC since 1995, so I can't help at all from the PC side.

Excel service and OWA - getting ERROR while trying to open/edit Excel documents

We have configured SharePoint 2013 with Excel Service and OWA (Office Web Apps).
After configuring, we are able to view/edit Word or PowerPoint documents from the browser (as OWA is configured). But we are getting errors while trying to open/edit Excel documents.
We are not able to view/edit the excel workbook from the browser (through OWA).
To open the excel in the browser, decision has to be taken at the farm level on what to be used – Excel Service or OWA Server? Is it possible to do setting at site collection level?

Computer USB ports, regardless of the computer maker, have a relatively low power output and thus are not good chargers. They will charge but it takes a long time. You should be charging your iPad from wall power, or a more powerful source like an in-car charger.
Buying another computer will not change that.

Your account names are probably different on the two Macs. If you know the UNIX command line, open a terminal window and run:
$ id
You should see a line that starts with something like this:
uid=501(your_user_id_here)
now check the owner of the folder you copied over:
$ ls -ld Music
drwx------+ 8 some_user_id_here staff 272 May 14 16:08 Music
Do the IDs match? If not, you could change the ownership. Say your id is "johnsmith"
$ chown -R johnsmith Music
Now try and access it with iTunes.

Someone sorted out this issue by installing API 1.2 and copying the dll files to the service manager server ,service folder and replacing it with API 2.0 dll files.

When you set up your Mac you had to enter a admin password to set up your user account.
If you did not enter one then try using the "blank window" as your password. ie Just hit return with nothing entered.

Please login to Azure Portal and check if you are able to see other servers from which you have backed up data, in the Portal.
Also, prerequisites for recovering file and folder data to a different server are:
· The target server is registered with the same Backup Vault the source server was backed up to.
· You have the passphrase used to encrypt the data from the source server.

Database is 10.2.3.0Why are you taking the backup when the file is not there? Files don't go offline just like that so the bigger concern for you should be that how come without your knowledge( I hope so) , it went offline?
The file is not physically there and as like Don asked, is the G drive actually is there even?
Do you have backup of this file? Also confirm, you have all the archivelogs available?

Getting error can not find xsl file at esb:///esb_projects/...

I have one esb project 'A' that is invoking another esb 'B' that contains transformation. Routing rules are defined from server deployed service no soap service call. So in esbsvc file it puts xsl url as esb:///esb_projects/....
When i deploy A and test it, i get error unable to find xsl file in path esb:///esb_projects/...
I tried to look into this issue, it looks like all files are stored under temp_xxx_localhost directory.
did any one find solution for it?
Note: this issue will come only if you have transformation at B service.

Have you checked the logs in enterprise manager on deployment?
Can you run esb B independently? Again via the em choose the web service end point to test.
I have not had a problem with a missing xsl. You can create test cases for xsl transformations within JDeveloper which will enable to test the validity of you transformation. But, it sound like you are already beyond this point.
