What's up with iTunes? Can't buy anything? My kids both just got iTunes gift cards & can't use them. Anyone else having this problem??
I had the same issue on both app store and iTunes. To resolve just sign out of iTunes and app store, go to your purchase and sign back in. Problem solved. Note I had to sign out and in in both iTunes and app store!

It sounds like you are not able to access your iTunes library. With the error message you are receiving, you will want to first locate the iTunes Library.itl file. These are the default locations for this file on a Windows computer, but if you dont find them here, you may need to search for the file:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Windows Vista: C:\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Windows 7: C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\
Windows 8: C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\

Once you locate the iTunes Library.itl file, you can make iTunes point to it using these steps:

If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
You should see one of the following screens:

OK, never mind! I saw another question on the right side that addressed the problem, and it worked perfectly! Went to Major Geeks' page, downloaded the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, and was able to reinstall the updated version of iTunes! This community is super!

im trying to download itunes 10.5 but keep getting error message that says: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A problem run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that. -

Keep getting error message "registry setting used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cds & dvds are missing", this can happen as a result of installing other cd burning software". The only software on my computer is original cd-dvd on my hp portable with Vista. My computer now recognized itouch as a camera. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, nothing changes.
