  • TS1398 I have a good wifi connection but keep getting "cannot connect to store" message when trying to download movies or apps today. Always been fine in the past.

As above (first time I've tried to use apple support. God it's a bloody palaver)

There seems to be an issue with the iTunes store. There are quite a few posts with similar complaints, but I have not seen a statement from Apple.

    Hello richvasmc,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1368
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Not connected to Internet message when checking for updates

This is very very annoying and I can't download the latest software update (2.1)

Come on Apple - sort this out

Do you have any information about iTunes and iPhone software versions, whether you're running Microsoft'Anything' or Apple'Anything' as your operating system, your hardware platform and USB version, to name but a few missing details?
Come on now: "Come on Apple - sort this out!!!" might be on a wish-list somewhere, but which version 'crystal-ball' do you suggest is used to assist?
It is very very annoying, you're right, all round, but it is much easier to provide assistance and helpful suggestions if the combinations surrounding one specific area of the Universe that is affected can be minimised.....

  • Keep getting "cannot connect to iTunes" message when i try to update apps.

Everytime i go into the app store and click "updates" i am getting the message from above. It is noit that im not connected to the internet because i am having no problem downloading apps and songs from iTunes. I have recently changed my apple I.D.  So i have reverted back to my old I.D. as someone suggested but still nothing. I was told my apple I.D. and password needed to be the same. as the ones i used to download them but i have changed my password and now cant change it back because it doesn't have enough characters in my old password

This is Apple's starting point/troubleshooting web site for iTunes Store connection issues. It has links to more advanced troublehooting as well.
    Can't connect to iTunes Store
Have you tried rebooting your router - unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again - or temporarily disabling your firewall or anti virus software?
    Restart or reset the iPad?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Keep getting 'not enough room' on ipod when trying to copy from iTunes.

    Hi,
With 60G iPod connected to PC, and iTunes automatically set to sync, I keep on getting 'not enough room on 'users-j' to copy all the requested files - even though I have plenty of disk spaces on the ipod.
    I have tried the following:
    - reset the ipod
    - restore the ipod to factory setting and erase all previous songs
    - selected to use as disk
    - tried manually to copy and automatically to sync
    - updated ipod and also using iTunes 7.0.2.16
Still get the same msg with all of the above. And not a song gets successfully copied over. I had previously 355 songs in the ipod (before restoring).
    Any suggestion/help is appreciated.
    Thx. Jack.

Thanks for that, deleted some music, to get 3Gb, then it copied over fine.
The amount left seems wrong though as now only have 0.2Gb free? It was this that was the issue though, as tried again on another movie and it copied across, just strange on the amount free, maybe time for my iPhone to be wiped clean to start again?
    cheers

  • Why do I keep getting the security code invalid message when trying to change my credit card info. Being trying to get this right for 3 days

My old credit card expired so I'm putting in new information but I keep getting this message security code invalid.  Why?

    Hi BT54,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, I'm not sure if this is causing the issue but it is a possible cause. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
Payment methods you can use in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support
If you create an account for a child under 13* in Family Sharing, you must use a credit card as the payment method. After you create the child’s Apple ID, however, you can change your payment method back to a debit card.
    Cheers,

  • Connect to Internet Message when trying to use Help in Illustrator CC

I just started using Illustrator CC yesterday.  When I go to help it opens but when I try to use it, it says connect to internet to use.  The thing is I am connected to the internet.  Why is it it doing this? Do I need to mess with some setting or something?

    Gertie,
I believe this is one for this specialized forum,

There are multiple similar threads with solutions; you may insert internet connection in Ask A Question to see them (open each in a new Tab to be able to return to the list).
