I am having problems printing from my IMAC computer. I am using photosmart C4680 all in one printer. I have repeatedly uninstalled printer and reinstalled printer from original disc. Error message coming up when I attempt to print. Used to print from Hp officejet printer d145. I began having problems with it. I have discontinued printing from it and I have uninstalled software from that printer. Error message states "Library/StartupItems/HP All-In-One Communications" has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings" message comes up when starting up computer. How do I correct this problem?

Initially iTunes would not run although it had been running quite well up until now. If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS, make sure to follow the steps closely, including the order in which you uninstall.

I have two 2nd generation apple tv units. The second one I installed does everything fine, streams from my Mac, pulls down itunes store for trailers and logs on to itunes store, but when I try to buy or rent I get an error message that the unit needs to be authorized. FOr some now, my ATV 2 does not show in my devices list on iTunes. Now, as of today, I keep getting an error message when trying to rent a movie through iTunes that I need to contact iTunes support to complete the transaction. Also, the ATV 2 does not show on my MacBook Air iTunes app. The ATV 2 will stream netflix and play movie trailers so I know it's on my wireless network---but for some reason, I can't see it on my iTunes. Slide to Unlock Several users have been able to fix this issue by simply sliding the “Slide to Unlock” button on their iPhones before attempting the update.
Disable antivirus software. If you are using Windows, try temporarily disabling antivirus software before applying the update.
Disable firewall. Instructions for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Update router firmware. Check your router manufacturer’s website, and download and install any new updates for your wireless router. Alternatively, try plugging the ethernet cable directly into your computer.
As last resort download separately 4.3.4 http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/041-1923.20110715.BnATg/iPhone3,1_4.3.4_8K2_Re store.ipsw and use Shift + Restore button on itunes. Then restore your settings and etc. from backup.
Remember to Beackup first, because Shift + Restore will make factory restore.

I just resolved this on Win Vista (should apply equally for Win7 too). Please uninstall iTunes before proceeding though. I'll walk you through the process I followed, if you like you can jump straight to the Solution section.
Problems:
The initial error during the installation of iTunes was:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken='1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x8007054F
The error (after installing iTunes) when trying to run iTunes was:
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2).
After trying various fixes around the forums I came across this MSKB article, which relates to the first installation error:

This lead me to trying to install MS Visual C++ but I received the following error trying to install that:

Note: The installation of VC++ rolls back when it fails.
Solution:
Through this error I found this MSKB article:

The Automated MS "Fix It" msi package didn’t work.
Note: Please backup your registry first (see the above MSKB article for instructions).
I opened the registry and (as instructed in the MSKB article) deleted the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS\
PendingXmlIdentifier
NextQueueEntryIndex
AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving
Reboot and reinstall iTunes.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

You might have two different things going on at once here.
Starting with the registry settings message.
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.
