Keep getting "Server connection interrupted" message

I went down in the basement with my Macbook to do some work on my Dell desktop and I keep getting the "Server connection interrupted" with a disconnect button.

Both my iPad 1 and 3 have done this, to a point that all websites were no longer accessible!!! Yet, my iMac worked like a charm, and our Ooma VOiP box in WiFi mode worked fine. I tried lots of different things, without any of them working.
I searched the whole web, not just these discussions, and didn't find any solution at all.
So I just reset my Airport Extreme to factory defaults, and everything is back to normal now! Sheesh! Hope this helps a lot of people!

Post subject: NSURLErrorDomain error -1100 in OS X 10.8
If you check for software updates using the App Store in OS X 10.8 and get "NSURLErrorDomain error -1100" the problem may be with your Software Update preferences. This is particularly likely if you were using a custom Apple Software Update server. To solve the problem, quit the App Store, move the following two files (if present) to the trash, restart, and only then rerun App Store updates:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist.lockfile

  • Disable "server connection interrupted" message

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the "server connection interrupted" message that appears when a connected server goes down. This message serves no purpose. It presents the user with the choice to either "ignore" or "disconnect", but choosing either one causes the disk to unmount. A message box is unnecessary if both of the choices it presents have the same outcome. I'd be much happier if the disk just automatically unmounted in the background.
    thanks

I'd like to disable this dialog as well. I know the server connections are interrupted. That happens when I pull the network cable out. In my case it makes absolutely no difference whether I hit "Ignore" or "Disconnect". You're a Mac, just do what you have to and don't bug me about it!

  • TS3988 I can log into my iCloud account on my iphone but when I try to log in on my pc I keep getting a connection error message.  Any ideas?

I can log into my iCloud account on my iphone but when I try to log in on my pc I keep getting a connection error message.  Any ideas?

Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

  • Possible to disable "server connection interrupted" message?

I have a mac mini (running lion) connected to the TV as a media center with a Time Capsule 4gen. as a router with all my media on. Connected to the Mac mini via cable. The problem is that I verry often get the message "server connection interrupted" on my mac mini. it could be in the middle of a movie playing from the TC and it does not stop playing but the message pops up (internet and wireless also works normal when this happens), witch is really annoying! I then have to do share screen on it from my macbook and press ignore. So my question is; does anyone know what could be the reason for this and have any ideas i coud try to fix it? if not does anyone know if it is possible to disable the message in question or make it "autoignore" it or anything?

Not at the moment.. it is a bug.

  • When trying to update iPhone 4 to IOS 4.3, keep getting  "network connection timeout" message.  Help!

Using iTunes and my iPhone 4 IOS 4.1 I keep getting a "network connection timed out" message.  At a lost on what to due.
    Any help appreciated.

HUGELY FRUSTRATING!! Getting a "network connection timed out" error after waiting three hours for the download to complete is unacceptable.  Had this problem running Windows 7 on an HP wireless laptop, IE 8, and Microsoft Security Essentials as my anti-virus.  I had  just updated my iTunes to the latest version so I didn't want to wipe out the whole thing and re-download as some boards suggested (I'd also tried that last year on another computer that did the same thing on an iPod update - didn't work).  I also did not want to totally disable my anti-virus program.
After reading many discussions online about the problem, here's what worked for me on the first try.  You need to add some Apple and Verisign addresses to your Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer:
In Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options, Security tab.  Click on Trusted sites, then click the Sites button. I also unchecked the "disable server verification (https) for all sites in this zone" box (under the box that will show your trusted sites).  Here's what I added.  (The underlining here is not mine - done by this site reading my entries as internet addresses.  They won't underline  when you enter them in trusted sites):
    http://albert.apple.com
    http://ax.itunes.apple.com
    http://deimos3.apple.com
    http://evintl-ocsp.verisign.com
    http://evsecure-ocsp.verisign.com
    http://gs.apple.com
    http://itunes.apple.com
    http://phobos.apple.com
Worked like a charm!!  This list was culled from several posts from several different discussion forums. I then closed out IE, restarted my computer (just in case :-) ),and updated through iTunes without a problem!

  • When Uploading Podcast, Getting a Connection Interrupted Message

    Hey everyone,
    I'm trying to upload my podcast from iweb to itunes (as I usually do anyway) and I am getting this error message which I've never seen before;
Our connection was interrupted to this feed, possibly due to a timeout. The host did not accept the connection within timeout of 10000 ms.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I've never had an issue before, but this is the first time since my updated leopard install and thus new iweb and itunes.
I have been getting the message all day so it's not an issue that is only there for a few minutes.
    Thanks
    T

I am getting the same exact error message. Perhaps there is an issue with the itunes servers tonight. I am going to try again tomorrow.
From what I can see, the feed is working fine at:

  • I am trying to access va.gov and keep getting secure connection failed message, this is a Veterans Administration site, WHY?

this is a United States government website. (OK you can stop laughing now) Specifically a Veterans Administration website for veterans to monitor and keep up on their health status , keep in touch with their Dr and other related topics. does this mean there is no security document for this site. how can I stop getting this message?

Are you having this problem on your Windows 8.1 system?
There can be many causes of certificate errors. If you expand the Technical Details section of the error page (assuming there is one), what is the explanation there? You could copy/paste that section into a reply.
I don't know my way around the site to investigate further. This page works for me: https://www.myhealth.va.gov/index.html

  • 1TB Timecapsule "Server connection interrupted" message

I found a thread from 2009 addressing this problem but it was lacking any resolution. Any ideas out there about this problem?
It is particularly bad for me recently since moving into my new place. Some posts seemed to think it could be an interference issue.
Quite frustrating. I have attempted to put my iTunes library on the TC and it only stays connected for at most 15 minutes before booting me.
    Ideas?

  • What is wrong when I keep getting "Secure Connection Failed" message?

Why am I getting the msg "Secure Connection Failed" on most sites I used to be able to access before power outage?

Rename (or delete) secmod.db (secmod.db.old) and maybe also cert8.db (cert8.db.old) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case there is a problem with the files.
The file ''cert8.db'' stores your user certificates, so if you have user certificates then you may want to export them now and import them after having removed cert8.db.
See Tools > Options > Advanced > Encryption: Certificates: View Certificates
If that works then you can delete the renamed files or undo the changes if you want to revert the process.

  • Disable "server connection interrupted" on wake

I have a Macbook Pro running Mavericks, and I recently bought a Seagate Central drive. However, whenever my mac wakes from sleep, I will get the "server connection interrupted" message which will dissapear as soon as it reconnects to my network. I find this message quite a nuisance, and was wondering if there is any way to disable or prevent it from appearing all the time.
    Thanks

I keep getting a popup error message in Ical "server does not recognize name/password"  This started after they did the change to Icloud and extended our subcriptions.

I guess that the server name is incorrect, then.
    Did it ever work?
Delete the account, reboot the phone, then add it back and be sure you choose Yahoo as the mail server type. Everthing should then fill in automatically except your user name and password.
