I got this error after I did the following:
1. Installed BC/WinXP.
2. Removed WinXP by reclaiming entire volume for use by OSX using BC.
3. Tried to re-partition the drive using BC.
I fixed this by booting from the OSX startup disc and running the disc utility and had it repair the disc. Apparently step 2 above left the disc with some sort of errors on it. I originally partitioned the disc using BC 1.2b. I later updated to BC 1.3b (which is what I tried the repartition with).
MBP C2D 2.33 Mac OS X (10.4.9)

For MAC try to give permissions to Adobe Indesign Folder:
Users/[user]/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign
Users/[user]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign
Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later
For Windows try to give permissions to Adobe Indesign Folder:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign
Also you can try logging in under a local administrator account as suggested by jeff.

Try to go to Settings and then Store. Tap to your Apple ID and select View Apple ID. Now choose to check your payment information and when you're done tap Done. I had to rewrite my three digit code of the credit card and now it works.
Oh, I also activated Genius for Apps but I don't think it makes any difference.

I was the one who set up the Photo Stream and sent the link to myself. I called Apple and they said I did everything right and the server must be temporarily down, but it has been the same for the better part of a day.

None of the fixes above worked for me. Continued getting the "try again" error message.
Tryed a bunch of things, such as going directly to icloud on Safari to open the mail message, no luck.
Tryed the following;
Went to iCloud and logged in via Safari, clicked on my account name in top right corner, selected "Advanced" on drop down menu, and selected "Reset Photo Stream".
Turned off Photo Stream on all devices and iPhoto.
Turned on Shared Photo Stream option on Mac iCloud preferences.
Tried the "Join This Photo Stream" button in my Mac Mail app .me account again.
Still got the error message.
Forwarded the original mail message to a yahoo account, selected "Join this Photo Stream" in the yahoo account mail (still in my Mac Mail app), and lo and behold, iPhoto opened and displayed the photos.
Could be this would have worked right from the start.
Oh yea, still get the "try again" message if I click on the Photo Stream button in my .me account.

i kept getting all the same errors and i just figured it out. after getting an iphone i went from pure excitment to anger as i plugged it in and realized i needed to upgrade to tiger. then i spent over an hour installing tiger and it still didnt work. i got the same itunes error of not recognizing. I'm having this issue as well. I have tried directly exporting and packaging the file and keep getting error messages. When I initially open InDesign the document has a distiller message error. I'm not sure what that means but I'm sure it's contributing to the problem. After trying Peter's work around it acted like it was exporting but at the last minute failed to. Other ideas/solutions welcome.

table C_T_DATA and the work area L_MCCOMVTTS have the smae fileds with same data element .
i think somewhere ther is adifference that why systerm is umable to populate the table data in to work area..

What version is your installation of FCPX?
If it really is 10.0.1, it will never work until you update it.
