Keep losing my secure wifi on my ipad and iphone with newest iOS update. My PC is still connected to same secure wifi. Any ideas.
Contact xFinity (Comcast) to turn off dynamic channel switching if on and have it set to a fixed channel.
Usually WiFi routers will only change channels to the least busy when they are initially powered up.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -
Have a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8 Leopard. Can I just download 10.6.8 Snow Leopard so I can wifi sync with iPhone and iPad?

First you need to check that your current Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.

When I add stuff to my computer google calendar, it syncs with iphone and ipad, but when I add stuff to ipad or iphone, it doesn't sync with the other calendars. How do I fix this?

I have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7 PC. For several years,
I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months ago I decided to use Mobile Me. However, there were problems with duplication of calendars and then “rogue events” – which could not be deleted – even if deleted on Outlook and on the iPhone (or both at the same time) – they would just reappear after the next synchronisation. All other synchronisation areas (eg Contacts, Notes etc) work fine.
I have looked for help through the Apple Support Community and tried many things. I have repaired my Outlook. I have repaired my .pst file in Windows. I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes on my PC. I have re-installed the firmware on my iPhone. I have tried many permutations on my iPhone. I have closed down all Mobile Me functions on the iPhone. I have spent upwards of 24 hours trying to solve this problem.
What am I left with? Outlook works seamlessly on my PC. My iPhone calendar now has no events from my calendar, but does not synchronise through iTunes. Nor does it send events initiated on the iPhone to the Outlook. I am at the point of abandoning iPhones and iPads altogether. I need to have a properly synchronising calendar on my phone. Do you have any suggestions?In the control panel goto the "Lenovo - Power Manager" and click the battery tab, there is a maintenance button in there that will let you change the charging profile for your battery. (from memory, so exact wording may be off)
The lower the numbers you use there, the longer the battery *should* last. These batteries degrade faster at higher charge levels, however storing them at too low of levels is also not good for them... I've read that 40% is optimal, but just not realistic if you use your computer.

My mac mini is not updating its software to OSX Lion v10.7.5, which I need for iCloud. I would like to use iCloud on my desktop along with my iphone and ipad but the auto updates are only upto 10.6.8.

When I first opened the mail i didn't have the option of the "go to" and choose notes because i hadn't created the mailbox. I 've only had the mac for 3 days. None the less I created the notes mailbox which apparently falls under "Reminders".
Will this "notes mailbox" eventually sync with my ipad and iphone. I have created several notes on the ipad but still don not see them in the "notes mailbox" on my mac?

I currently sync my iPhone and iPad with Outlook on my Windows Desktop, but want to switch and still do this on my new Mac running Lion. However what I am reading about the nightmares of syncing with Outlook in Office for Mac 2011 is making me think twice about going down this road. What an awful situation of purchasing a Mac and being potentially stumped by 'Office for Mac 2011'.
I want to continue using Microsoft Office including Outlook for my business applications - but on the Mac. I like Keynote for presentations, however I also have to create presentations in PowerPoint for some business situations. So, although I don't ideally want to put Windows onto my Mac, would it be more efficient and less hassle to use Parallels 7, Windows 7 and Office 2010, rather than endure the issues associated with OFM 2011?
If I decide to use Parallels 7 and Windows 7 am I then into using software to protect against virus' and malware?
I wouldn't be asking this question if Office for Mac 2011 (including Outlook) wasn't a problem - sadly from what I'm reading, it is.
Thank you in anticipation.I just resolved my Outlook 2010 + iPhone Calendar sync issue today : if you have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook (like I do), then you'll find that each account has it's own Calendar (a rather pointless feature IMO). However you probably only use one Calendar like most people, and what has happened is that the mail account which is set as default for Data Files is not the one you are using. Try this:
Outlook 2010 --> Account Settings --> click "Data Files" tab --> select as default whichever acct. is associted with the Calendar you use. -
Why isn't it not possible to synchronize with itunes 11.1.4 the contacts and calendars of my iphone and ipad with outlook 2010 as it was possible before with itunes 10?

I have started getting spammed on multiple Apple products (iPhone and iPad) with FaceTime calls since the recent IOS update. Is there any feature or setting I can use locally to restrict incoming calls to a FaceTime account without going to the carrier?
After calling AT&T tech support one more time, and explaining to them that the glitch was on their network, they admitted that the problem was at their tower...
I continued to use the phone on EDGE mode for two more days until the problem was fixed.
I even got a call back from a tech support guy asking me if my phone was working properly....
I wish they would have admitted to the problem before I sat at the apple store for 2 hours. -
hello. I can not configure my major mail account at Mac Mфail - other accounts such as Hotmail and Gmail are working great. Also, I am using that major account at iPhone and iPad with no problem. I had contacted mail provider - we had followed step by step all the settings,, they are correct, and I was suggested to use another mail program. Why, for God's sake I should use different programs for different mail accounts? Anyone, had the same problem?

Airport not working with iPhone and iPad
I have an airport extreme that woeks fine with my laptop, but iphones and ipads will not sign on?

Macbook air and iMac can join network fine. iOS devices connected fine with router at work.
I reset the iphone and ipad network settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings

My iPad2 will not work on my home wi-fi. My iPhone, my wife's iPhone and iPad all work just not my iPad. It will however work when I set up a hot spot on my iPhone. Any ideas?
Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds.
On your iPad use Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings
If you need more help please give the make, model and version of the WiFi router that you are using.
Does your router have the latest firmware from the manufacturer installed?

Cloud computing between my iPhone and iPad with my wife's new iPhone
Just purchased an iPhone 5 for my wife and have connected it to my existing iTunes account. I already have an iCloud account for my iPhone 5 and iPad. What I would like is to be able to share calendars, photostream, and provide cloud based backup for her but still maintain autonomy between the devices. I do not wish to have her contacts transferred onto my iPhone/iPad and she does not wish to have mine either.
Do/can I set up a new iCloud account for her phone and share photostream/calendar while still sharing the same itunes account? Is that possible or is there an easier way to be able to do this?You can leave your iPhone and iPad as they are. If you haven't set up iCloud on your wife's phone yet, simply go to Settings>iCloud on her phone and sign in with a different Apple ID. (If you don't have one, tap Get Free Apple ID at the bottom to create one. This will require a different non-Apple email address, which must be verified to validate the ID.) You can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing (in Settings>iTunes & App Stores). It does not need to be the same as the ID you use for other services such as iCloud.
If, on the other hand, your existing iCloud account is already set up on her phone, and her data is now merged with yours, you will need to migrate her phone to a new account, then delete the unwanted data from each account. Begin by saving any photo stream photos she has on her phone to her camera roll by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud on her phone, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. Your devices will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up her new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (i.e., delete her data from your account, and vice versa).
