Keep me signed in box always ticked now

Hi.
When I go to sign in on ebay the Keep me signed in box is now always ticked and used not to be. How can I change this so it is unticked by default as I see this as a security risk. i.e. gorgetting to untick the box.

I was downloading a new FireFox My Firefox internet is not responding very well, so I thought a new one might help. We came to the question of e-mail verification,the screen said, Wrong answer. The only thing is, it,i.e download did not ask the first time, but on Mar.13, I changed all of Google.It was then I installed my first Gmail. There was no question, except to verify Firefox.

I have the keep me signed in box checked but I have to sign in to get to my home page. It comes up with the set up your home page.

The default Homepage in Firefox is '''about:home''', which isn't a page on the internet, it is built into Firefox and doesn't have a login. It does look a lot like the [http://www.google.com/firefox Google / Firefox start page] which was used previously, but it isn't the same.
Firefox doesn't use the Homepage setting in Internet Options.

As far as "remember me" for web site logins, that is usually done with a cookie, if you clear your cookies when Firefox closes, you won't be "remembered".

I didn't change any settings nor stored it anywhere, it stopped working today,
it happened in the morning, I checked at 10: 05pm, now it is working again,
perhaps something happened or somehow someone corrected the issue,

Firefox requires me to sign in each time I open it though I check the keep me signed in box. How do I resolve this?

I cannot stay logged into my MSN account with Firefox although I click the "keep me logged in" box.

I used to be able to remain logged in to my MSN account while using Mozilla Firefox. Now I have to log in every time although I click on the "keep me signed in" box. This happened after I tried to create a new e-mail account on MSN. Not life and death, but puzzling.

Did you add your Facebook account in settings?

I check the keep me signed in box to no avail. I have to sign back in each time I close my browser. Apple support was useless

I do this on all layouts because of a course on Lynda.com by Adobe's James Williamson. According to James on DW Essential Training CS5 most browsers view the body tag as the parent tag but some browsers view the HTML element as the top -level parent tag. So he says you should make a selector to apply to both of them so no matter what browser you're in it will zero out the margins and padding. He says to go to the box category and zero out margins and padding. After that go back into the box category and put in a 25 px drop top margin to give a little space across all browsers. I do this on every website as a matter of course. I noticed that I made a mistake and put a dot instead of a comma so I went back and fixed that and made the other necessary adjustments to align the other elements again. All works fine again in every browser on the PC but yet again still the only one that doesn't work properly is Chrome on the MAC.

The apple Id on my iPad was signed out. We don't remember the password. The sign in box just keeps popping up over and over even if you hit cancel. Now we can't use the iPad at all. Can anyone help?

If you can't remember its password then you should be able to get it reset (either via email or by answering its security questions) via http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't get it reset via that page then contact Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset it : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support

Why does Googlemail not appear on the Start Page every time instead of going all through "more" and " even more etc, plus having to sign in even though I have ticked the Stay signed in box?

There is no consistency when one gets the Mozilla Firefox Start page.There is a line as follows :

To get Gmail one has to click on "more" which gets one a dropdown menu which ends in "even more" Clicking on this takes one to a page headed "Even More Google Products", including (Hurrah!) M Gmail.
Click on this and one gets the page where one signs in, even though I have ticked the box entitled " Stay signed in" and at last ones's e-mail page turns up. Very occasionally, instead of Books or Shopping on the Start Page "Gmail" is there which when clicked on takes one directly to one's e-mail.It seems a hell of a rigmarole just to get one's e-mail!

If the keep me signed in option is not working, you may have a malformed cookie. Try deleting Google/Gmail cookies, for details on how to do that see [[deleting cookies]].

"keep me signed in for two weeks" box

In the past, when I checked the "keep me signed in for two weeks" box, It was possible to forego the signing in every time I wanted to view my email account. Lately however, this is ignored and I must log in with my email name and password every time I go to the home page. This doesn't happen in Google Chrome or AOL. It's a minor thing, but still annoying. Anyone else have this problem?

We have had this problem forever, along with the ever changing MyVerizon Home Page. We can tell when our login is going to fail based upon what user name it greets on the top right-hand side of the page. I continue to post how many logins we can have per day and VZ employees continue to spew the company lie that this is for our protection. The VZ line is that the logouts are to prevent someone else from accessing your account and changing settings. Now we all know how often family members get in and purposely change settings. Perhaps VZ should employ some engineers and programmers who can fix the problem that VZ claims isn't a problem.

Get the redeem code from the KLove page:

...and enter it into the Redeem Code box in the iTunes Store.
You will have to sign in to your iTunes account.

Staying signed in at iCloud.com is not a problem for me. Try resetting your browser or emptying its cache.

Try signing out of your iTunes account (scroll to bottom in the app), then sign in again.

Long shot.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
