Keep Reading List Item - Delete Offline Files

Is there a way to delete your offline files from your reading list, without having to remove the item from the list itself? In case you want to look something back up at a later time, like when you're trying to remember something you know that you read but can't put your finger on it, or whatever the reason.

YEs, it's totally frustrating... I'll never again just go along with an upgrade. After upgrading to IOS8 the reading list feature no longer works.
I even tried the factory reset, clearing out everything and making my iPad 2 like it was originally. And I didn't restore from backup either, afraid whatever bug it is would come back. I even installed iCab Mobile, and Readability... nothing works!
I Really, really, regret upgrading. I want my fully functioning IOS7 back!!
IS there any way to get IOS7 back, 'coz this IOS8 is for the birds?!

Recover Deleted Offline File in Window's 7

Documents that were suppose to sync with the server had not synced in months. The filess I am sure were being saved to the offline file cache. The offline file cache was deleted by using microsoft hotfix 50561 (kb230738), reinitalizing the cache and correcting
the save path. The documents are very important. I researched and found the xp tool for recovering deleted offline files. csccmd.exe by using the command
csccmd.exe /extract /target:c:\docs /recurse
Is There a tool like this for windows 7? is there a way to recover the lost files. Previous versions and system restore was not enabled and I have not been able to enable then.

In your reading list, just move your mouse pointer on the item and a small x will appear at the left of the title. Click on it to delete the selected item.

Why cannot delete reading list items in Safari

Environment: OS X 10.8.2
Everytime I empty the reading list, Safari just tells me the bookmarks are syncing. Then the items reappear in reading list. I tried to disable icloud syncing and then re-enable it. It just didn't work.
Any suggestions? Can iCloud be any better? It bothers me alot.

Exactly same problem. Got syncing between all iOS devices but NOT on iMac...
And items which I delete from Reading List on iMac keep returning in the list but in 'saving for offline reading...' mode.

What happens to old Reading List items?

In Safari 7 what happens to items in the Reading List after they are read? Are they deleted automatically? If so, when? (I know it is not right away.)
In previous versions the items flagged as "Read" would be grayed out, and I could clear them one by one to keep them from cluttering things up. In the newest version, however it seems to be impossible to tell which ones are "Read" without right-clicking and examining the context menu.
Even better, of course, would be a button or menu option to clear the "Read" items en masse.

I am probably telling you something you already know, but if you pull down on the Bookmarks - Reading List - Shared Links pane while viewing your Reading List, you can choose between "All" and "Unread." The options are hidden just above the search bar in Reading List.
Also, you can right-click (control click) on the list to mark an item as read/undread, remove an item, or clear all items.
But you're right, there's no easy way to separate the "read" from the "unread."

Possible to delete Offline Files content for a specific user from the Client Side Cache (CSC) ?.

Hello Everyone,
We would like to implement a script to delete the offline files in the Client Side Cache (CSC) for a nominated user (on Windows 7 x64 enterprise).
I am aware that;
1. We can use a registry value to flush the entire CNC cache (for all users) next time the machine reboots.
2. If we delete the user's local profile it appears that Windows 7 also removes their content from the local CSC.
However, we would like to just delete the CSC content for a particular nominated user without having to delete their local user profile.
In our environment we have many users that share workstations but only use them occasionally. We don't use roaming profile so we would like to retain all the users' local profiles but still delete the CSC content for any users that haven't
logged on in a week.
Any ideas or info would be appreciated !

I would like to have a list of projects, where each list item would be connected to one or more files, located in a SharePoint library of course.

Agowda , it worked on APEX 4 but unfortunately I have APEX 3.x in my production environment...
I thought the equivalent of what you've suggested is a "Select List with Submit" item, I tried it as well... but no success yet, I guess I might be wrong...
Please suggest the solution for APEX 3 version... sorry for the confusion, should have mentioned the version before...

I cannot open Reading List items

I have just found that if I click on any item in my Reading List all that happens is that the Top Sites page opens. What do I need to reset to stop this happening and to link through to the Reading List sites?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

Unable to Attach file for list item using SP.File CopyTo Method

Requirement: I have a document library and list, the requirement is i need to take a document from document library and attach to list item in the list using CSOM only.
Followed technique: to achieve this requirement i followed below methodology

We are not allowed to use Visual Studio and the same thing we can use in JavaScript, but file stream takes path as one parameter which is physical location of your file system. When you use it some times users might not have access to the file system then
our code fails.

How do you clear the download list without deleting the files?

I'm using mobile firefox on a samsung galaxy nexus. I was looking for a way to clear my download history without deleting the files from my phone (like clearing downloads on the pc)
is this possible? how would I do it?
if not is there an app that can do it?

IPhoto Keeps Quitting Even after Deleting Plist Files Repairing perm Files

When I try to launch iPhoto The page seems to begin to load then I get a box saying " The application iPhoto has unexpectedly quit". I tried to troubleshoot by deleting the iPhoto plist files and then I repaired the permission files.There is still no change.

Glad to help, but I think you worked the magic Sally. Deleting photos from the Desktop is harmless to iPhoto, and doing the same again should not be a problem. Maybe it was the overfull disk that initially caused iPhoto to think, 'I don't have enough space here to open, so I'll crash.'
It works like this. If you connected a camera and imported them into iPhoto, then that is the only place those photos reside and to delete any of them afterwards would have to be done in iPhoto where you would select a photo, then Move to Trash. This would keep the index straight.
But if you had some photos on your desktop and imported them into iPhoto, it makes a copy of them inside the iPhoto Library. If you were to delete one of those photos from the Desktop, it would still show in iPhoto because its copy still exists in the iPhoto Library.
So when you reported the problem arose after your deleted some photos, it made me think along the lines I did. But as you didn't muck about with the iPhoto Library folder's contents, you could not have damaged it. So you haven't done anything to wreck things. Maybe iPhoto was just choking from a lack of space.
It's great your photos are still all there. Now, with that copy of your iPhoto Library - put it on a CD for safe keeping. Games, software, info from websites, even songs can mostly be replaced if need be, but one's photos are unique and deserved to be backed up, to either another hard drive or burnt to an optical disk.
A tip: I suggest you create a new folder in your Pictures folder called say, ExtraShots (name it what you like) and put your photos there instead of the desktop. Doing so is not crucial, just tidy, and there is a slight advantage that your computer will run quicker if the Desktop is uncluttered.
Not a tip: Do keep your hard drive down to less than about 90% full / at least 10% "available free space" as Macs like room.

Batch Listing Metadata for Offline Files

Hello all -
I'm using Premiere CC 2014 on OSX. I'm trying to do a batch list export of the metadata for a few dozen offline clips in my project.
Here are the details:
I need the filenames and video ins and outs (NOT the media start and end) for all of my media files to put in a spreadsheet for archival purposes. I don't actually have access to the media itself - just to the project file.
When I do a batch export by highlighting all of the files and going to File>Export>Batch List, the only three columns that export are the filename and the media start and end. I'm hoping to get an export with all of the columns of metadata so that I can narrow it down to just the data I need. Basically, this is the info that I want to be able to put in a spreadsheet:
