Keep receiving a pop up from McAfee that states "Potentially Unwanted Program Blocked"
I'm very new to owning and operating my own home computer. Internet just recently installed. While trying to find a safe "Minecraft" game for my grandson to pay, I now receive the message from McAfee that states "Portentially Unwanted Program Blocked". What to do What to do

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.
Most probably when you wanted to download the game, it was bundled with malicious/unwanted software, thus stopped by McAfee.

If you continue getting messages from McAfee that virus or unwanted program is present or deleted, double check with different utilities because McAfee may be picking-up only part of the story (aka undetected malware)

As for safe Minecraft game, there are literally hundreds of variants. Search for them using Google/Bing or ask in a gaming forum for recommendation. Use one from reputable sources.

You have a number of things that will make this not work.
Your mailto link is not the way to go, take a look at this and it should get you on the right path.

On your action page, you can have it give the thank you message that you want. Having a seperate page saying they forgot to do something complicates matters more than you might wish at this point, and usually irritates people. however if you decide you want to go that way, look up "sticky forms". What this does is re-populate the fields when they have to go back to correct.
A better way would be to validate the information, you can use Spry if you want which is built into dreamweaver.
You also have in your html form this
enctype="multipart/form-data"
That is used for sending files, and since you are not, the form would not work, so you want to remove it.

I received a pop-up telling me that OSX 10.8.3 was available. I started the download/ installation, but something interrupted the process and it was not downloaded and/or installed. Now when I ask for software updates, I det the message that "no updates available." What do I do to get thei update?
If the installation didn't finish, maybe OS X 10.8.3 was installed partially, and it doesn't show up because the updater already updated the OS X version to 10.8.3, although it doesn't mean that everything was installed and updated. I receive a pop-up from ICal saying the server does not recognize my user name and password for my me.com email address. This started yesterday and occurs about every 5 minutes or so. There are no problems with receiving or sending email through Mail. I did change me email password several days ago but have no problems sending/receiving since then.
I fixed the problem. I opened Preferences in ICal and entered my new password. No more pop-ups

I found instructions of unlocking safari by resetting safari completely. Safari now works fine but I am frightened as I had student finance a banking details on my history etc. should I reformat and restore from backup? I am running mountain lion. I do have a windows partition, would this affect this? Should I not worry or what should I do? Please help...
This is not any kind of malware, it is purely a fraudulent javascript-based "scare tactic" which fools people into giving away their money. It stores nothing on your computer, nor does it have any access to your files or personal information.
As you've found, quitting Safari and restarting it with no windows open (hold down Shift as you launch it) will avoid reloading it.
So you have nothing to worry about in this regard.

I have pop up from adobe that tell me they have problem with my paiement and billing information and to go in my account or my lisence will stop working in 25 days again... I can't find anything wrong in my account infos. What do I need to check and change? Adobe takes the money directly on my credit card since almost 2 years and I haven't change anything sicne then. The expiration date is good. Also, I'm not able to contact the Adobe support, it's not available.

I keep getting a pop-up notifying me that a newer version of Growl is available for download. I've never heard of Growl and I'm unaware if I even need it or use it. Is this a legitimate notification? Did Growl come on my new iMac?
Growl has a long development history, is popular and performs a useful function. Many of your background applications use it send messages to your screen that tell you all kinds of useful things (if you're interested). Some applications ask you if you want them to install Growl for you - you or someone using your Mac may have answered 'yes' a long time ago, or it may have occurred without your permission. In any event, you might set it uyp and give it a try for a while, I think it will grow on you. If not, just remove it.

Pop up from india thats taking over my system?

When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari. if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.

I received an email supposedly from Apple from "Notice" that my Apple ID was used in Russia to buy music. Is this real? There was a link to click labeled AppleID. I didn't click it, but the message said I needed to change my Apple ID immediately.
What does the email look like - emails from Apple tend to be personalised (not 'dear customer' or 'hello') and the have proper English in them (if you hover your mouse pointer over the link do you see what URK it would take you to ? ; it might show at the bottom of the screen).
It's likely to be a phishing attempt to try and get your account and payment details - you could forward it to Apple : [email protected]
Just to be sure check your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store -
Not able to access Itunes store anymore. Just quit working for no reason. I've tried deleting Itunes and related components from the Control Panel, but when I try to remove Apple Software Update, I get a message that states "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor". Not sure what this message means. Am I suppose to contact Apple ? What is meant by package vendor ?
Apparently it's an itunes issue. I just tried to update and got the same issue. Called att to activate my iphone 4s and they say they can do the swap but apple is telling them itunes is down atm. So will have to wait
