why do i keep receiving messages saying my account is going to expire when i just started a new one? a student one that is free!
The only FREE subscription is for a 30 day trial
If you have an Education version that is provided by your University, you STILL have to activate your subscription
EXACTLY what were you given by your University, and what instructions came with the software about activation?

If you mean something like an "*" such as in a database search, then, no.

Also, why does Skype allow user names that include system.notice? This would seem to me words that should be reserved for system notices, or am I missing something here?
Yours is a valid point which I have read many times - however, these titles are only titles such as how you might change your name as it appears in your Profile settings; the scammers constantly change the underlying Skype account names they use. Securing your account should rid you of these nuisance messages as well as unsolicited contact invitations.

I have changed my email password aswell as having to keep changing my apple is password an it keeps changing?Sounds like you follow good practices.
This has been going around for some time in various forms, a number of users have asked about it and the best advice is if in doubt go doirectly to Apple, not links in the email. Calling Apple or using the Apple site is always the best approach.
A few have even noticed very slight misspellings in the emails, things like Appel instead of Apple...most people don't even notice those.

when i want to create a face time it tells me to vertify my email address. When i go to do this i have to type in my apple ID and password on the Apple website, however when ever i do this i get a message saying Invalid account for this Email Address..

It sounds like it still has her information on it, so it might be efficient to navigate to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings. You can then set up the phone again, using your information. This way the phone will be yours, officially, and her data and information will be removed.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

if that fails, uninstall ps, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and reinstall. then use the manual updates. -
Having trouble trying to install itunes 10.5. Receive message saying 'There is a problem with this installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be found. Please contact product vendor'
Managed to get the installation sorted. Go to Control Panel, and where you have a list of all installed programs, repair all the Apple/Itunes related programs. Installation worked fine after that. Hopefully it helps you out too!

The credit card used is that registered in the iTunes Store. Open the Store and go to your account. Click 'edit' next to 'payment details' and amend the card details if necessary.

Hi all. I am new to iPad and am trying to buy / download certain apps thru iTunes and or App Store. I have found the apps i want yet I keep getting messages saying "this app is not yet available in the South African store"! which means i am unable to buy it. Why not and how can i get around this? If you see a dialog telling you the app is not avaiable, then it's not available.
And keep in mind, your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.

This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

This was when you trying to download/buy something i.e. it's not a phishing email that you've received ?
You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on them.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -
