Keep saying the project is locked by the user ~~~. can't open my project.

i made my first idvd project almost a year ago.
now i tried to open the project with my different user id.
i changed my id when my hardware crushed about 6months ago.
i don't have my previous id anymore.
when i tried to open the dvdproject that i burned.
it keeps saying the project can't be opened at this time.
i tried to unlock the file from doing getting info and changing the ownership and detail as it's said at the idvd help.
but, still doesn't open.
does anyone know how to solve my problem?

You are most welcome.
Do you still have your iMovie project on your computer? If so, you can just drag it's icon (the one with the star on it) into your iDVD project. Drag it to the edge of the menu window, not into a drop zone.
Also, this would be a good time to do a couple of simple things that might help. Close down your iDVD project, and then trash the file com.apple.iDVD.plist found in User/Library/Preferences. iDVD will create a new file on relaunch. Before relaunching, do a permissions repair, using the Utilities/Disk Utility app on your Mac. When you call up disk utility, read the screen to see how to do it.
Hope you get things running right.
