The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. Sometimes it says security code by it is the ZIP code. Sign into your account in the iTunes app on your computer and verify that all of the information is correct and agree to any new user agreements that may be needed. -
Apple recently made me change my password which was fine but now it keeps telling me the security code on my visa is incorrect now matter how many times i re-enter it. I can no longer download or update my phone. Please help!!!!
Did you go on-line and fix your billing information? You probably need to do this from iTunes on your computer, not your phone.
If you've double checked your credit card info and it still won't take it, contact your card issuer. -
When trying to update my billing information to my new MasterCard, the system keeps telling me the security code I'm entering is invalid. I know it's correct. Why is it doing this?
check your purchase history, see if there has been a problem with a previous purchase, if so, you might have to temporarilyuse another gift card or use itunes gift cards

Has this ever happened to you?
iTunes store and my appleid account is not accepting the security code on the Visa Gift Card I purchased today... It keeps telling me the security code is not validThe Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. Sometimes the issue isn't really the security code, but the ZIP code or the form of the billing address. -
HT1918 cannot input security code for credit card
cannot input security code for credit card update
Where are you doing this? Go to your account in the Apple store and re-enter (not just verify) all of your account information and be sure one click ordering is on and try again

I'm having trouble updating my apps. the message that appears is that the security code of credit card is invalid. already talked to the operator of the card and everything is ok.
The address on the billing statement from the credit card company must match the information that you have filled in on the fields in iTunes when you set up the account. In other words you cannot abbreviate in iTunes if the information for you billing address is not abbreviated on the statement that you get in the mail. If the statement lists your street as "Street" and you type in "St." - that can cause issues. If that's not the problem, sign out of your ID, restart the iPad and sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. -

I am trying to update the apps/games on my Ipod, and it asks me for my password, which is fine, but then it tells me thatmy security code for billing is not valid, which it is, even though I am not purchasing anything, just doing the update notification. So I go to account setting and redo my billing information and it keeps telling me my 3 digit security code is wrong. Do I need to restore my IPOD or what I am so frustrated!
Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorizations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Express Lane, then iTunes > iTunes Store -
Itunes keeps telling me my security code is invalid when trying to download apps?
Is there a way to fix this?
This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes forums. Give those forums as search; the question of invalid security codes has been raised a number of times.

What is the security code on credit card
I am trying to purchase a book. I try to put Credit Card security card # in to no avail. What am I doing wrong?
If your card's security code isn't being accepted, then is your iTunes account address exactly the same as on your credit card bill e.g. spacing and format : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ?

My Iphone 4 will not let me purchase apps. Its says that I have an unresolved balance. My credit card is on file but it says that the security code is invalid. I have tried changing my address to be more specific, but nothing works. I know my credit card number is correct and that the security code is valid. I do not know how to resolve the situation. If someone has experienced this before and knows how to fix it you help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
