Keeping a field from moving up a line

Greetings,
I have four fields on one line with a comments line on the next line.
The first two fields are "Status" and "Status Code"
The next two fields are "Results" and "Results Code"
They are grouped together as "Statuses" and "Results". The user has the option of picking "Statuses", "Results" or "Both".
If the user picks "Results" the "Statuses" objects are hidden and the comments are on the proper line.
If the user picks "Both" then both the "Statuses" and "Results" are displayed and the comments are on the proper line.
However
If the user selects "Statuses" the "Results" objects are hidden and the comments are moved up to the same line as the "Statuses" objects and in fact occupies the same space as the "Statuses" objects.
Can anyone tell me how to keep the comments on it's own line regardless of whether the two aforementioned are hidden or not.

You're using a liquid layout based on percentages that resizes with browser viewport. As Ned said, a fixed width Table would be one approach. Another would be to use a Fixed Width CSS grid like this one (view page source to see the code)

You should take it to an Apple store or an AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) Carefully inspect the hinge joint and make sure there is no debris that you can see, you can try carefully sliding some sticky tape thru the joint to clear any loose stuff out. But this sounds like there might be more going on here, and the hinge is something that you do not want to fool with.

How do I keep a table from moving within a spreadsheet?

It seem that some of my tables tend to move up slightly over time, and I have to keep moving them back. Is this something that I am accidentally doing or is there a way to lock the tables in place without actually locking them. To be clear, they are not moving from one sheet to another sheet just up the sheet they are on.

The only work around to this is to move the table you are working on to the right or below the "Other" tables on your sheet. When you resize columns or rows Numbers tries to "help" by moving other tables-- I think it is annoying too!
You can also post feedback to Apple using the menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback"

How to keep Lightroom 5 from moving to secondary monitor

Is there a setting that would keep LR from jumping to second screen?
I currently have PS and LR on main monitor with PS tools on second monitor.
On occasion LR will move to second screen which is annoying, but more annoying is trying to get it back to main screen.

How to insert field from form into subject line of email

I have a form:

and I would like to have the name of the person fill in automatically in the subject line. Right now when the email button is clicked the subject line reads: "Submitted Human Sequencing Tertiary Analysis Submission Form." Once the form is filled out, I would like the subject line to read: "[PI-Name] - Submitted Human Sequencing Tertiary Analysis Submission Form," (as highlighted below)

How do I keep a "table" from Moving?

Hi,
I converted a series of existing "tables" to a different format so that I could use automatic totaling n the footer. I did this by creating the new table and copying the old data into it. The spreadsheet works fine, and I deleted the original. It left me with two minor issues I would like to resolve. First on the main screen instead of a picture of the spreadsheet which it used to have, it now is just a blank grey icon. And secondly when I open up any of the associated tables, they no longer line up in the upper right corner of the screen, and I have to always move them. I would like to be able to "lock" the spreadsheet and its associated headers in place, and just be able to move the body of the spreadsheet as needed. This is all done on a Ipad, btw.

There seems to be a design assumption in the iOS Numbers version that you don't care about alignment until it comes time to Print. I'm not impressed by the iPod Touch Numbers experience so I don't have much love for it, and I share your frustration with maintaining the arrangement of objects. Why not send feedback to the engineers and suggest that they work on that aspect of the interface? Apple.com/feedback

7610 - Some Obscacle keeps ink cartriges from moving

We have our 7610 printer for over an year and recently it has been pulling the sheets of paper back inside, backwards, after finishing printing, always making us open the cover of the printer and remove all the torned paper from inside of it.
Today, after this happened (for the 100th time), we removed the paper from it and now it says the cartriges can't move because of some obstruction.
We already checked it in every spot we can see - we are too afraid to take the cartridges case off it, since we never did it before and it can break. We can easily move the case with our hands, but it just doesnt move on its own.
Did it ever happen to someone?

Any way to keep the dock from moving between dual screens in Mavericks?

As the topic says, with the new dual-monitor functionality that Mavericks brought in, my dock bounces back and forth between screens. This is driving me absolutely nuts. Does anyone know a way to disable it? I cannot seem to find any feature that will shut it off.

It seems like I was accidentally "bumping" the corresponding edge of the dockless screen and that is what made the dock switch. To what level the "bumping" is that sets it off has not been consistant for me (or hard to tell with a track ball) but if i move quickly to the edge and stay there it switches after a view tries.
*Didn't see how to disable but it helped me realize the cause creating the issue for prevention.

Accessing a field from a structure with out header line

This structure type line don't have a header line.

when I use following statement..
move IT_EKKNU-kostl to e_cekko-kostl.
Iam getting error "IT_ENKKNU is not a structure or Internal table with header line.
How to access the fields in structure IT_EKKNU.

Here IT_EKKNU is an internal table without Header line.
You can use a structure for assignment.
DATA: IT_EKKNU TYPE MMPUR_EKKNU,
wa_ekknu type ekknu.
read table it_ekknu into wa_ekknu........
move wa_EKKNU-kostl to e_cekko-kostl.
*modify the code for your conditions*.

Keep Table from moving/scrolling

In Numbers 3 how do tou keep a table from moving/scrolling without locking it and making it uneditable....I want to edit but I don't want it slidind around in the window...

Thanks for clearing that up. I find tables less likely to move on their own in Numbers V3. On the other hand, where the table is on the sheet is almost a useless piece of data. I've been experimenting with correlating what you see in the edit view with what you see in the Print dialog, and nothing makes sense. A 4 inch wide by 5 inch tall rectangle, set to the upper left corner of the sheet, extends to 6 pages with content scale set to 100%.

There are several ways you can go about this.
1. Most labels come with Word templates or downloadable Word templates. Simply open those in Pages.
2. Make a table with extra cells for the thin spaces between the labels and skinny those down to match the spaces. ie You have big fat cells for the actually labels and thin narrow empty ones for the gaps.
3. Make a floating Text box the size of one label, format with dummy text just the way you like it.
+Menu > Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder text+
You can now drag and drop snippets of text, the addresses etc onto those and it will replace them matching the style of the existing text.
You duplicate that text box into position of the other labels by clicking on it with the command kety held down, then drag copy it up or across with the option and shift keys held down. Fine tune the positions with:
+Inspector > Metrics > Position+

I'm afraid that's not possible as form fields in a PDF file have no equivalent either in a Word format (.docx/.doc) or within the Rich Text Format (.rtf). That data is simply stripped during the conversion as there's no equivalent available.
