Keeping file name in picture package

Hi guys,
iam struggling through picture package at the moment,
what i would like to do is to keep the original file name in picture package then when the new files are generated not have to type the old name back in some of the names can be quite elaborate.
Ny62456_IMG for instance i don't mind dropping the IMG but want to keep the file names
thanks
Nik

the images are coded
so that i know where they come from for instance the filename will start with the schools name SK then the yearY6 then the jpeg number the filename would be SKY62109 therefore i know where it has to be sent.
Maybe i am talking complete nonsense to you but in photoshop it works to a reasonable standard and each image is copied and then copy is generated by photoshop after each image. Its just that photoshop is not quick enough or stable enough to process a lot of images
If i exported the file then it would retain the filename
If you can think of a better way of doing this then please tell me i actually started playing with lightroom last saturday so am a beginner

  • Determining File Name in Info Package under External Data

Determining File Name in Info Package under External Data
I am on SAP BW 3.0. A System is sending a flat file every few days
    With a date time stamp, e.g., d:\loaddar\file_20080212_122300.csv
I know in Info Package one can create routine under external data to determine the file name. I have seen
Examples where people determine file name based on date. Since my file has a time stamp, what code  I write a  to pick the file. Is there a way to read one or more files and
    Determine file name.
I am new to SAP BW and ABAP. However, I have lot of experience with Oracle and Java.
Can someone point me how this will be done. I am looking for some sample code as well.
Thanks in advance. I will really appreciate your help.

    Hello Prem,
Even i used to get the file suffix with date & time, and i found very difficult to pick up the file from application server using routine in infopackge. Then i asked to change to date only and it was easy to pick the file using routine. But i think in your case files are coming more than once, in such a case you should write a small unix script to add these files and then convert into single file with date only and execute the infopackage to load it.
    Cheers!

  • How to keep file name in print queue when printing crystal report

We are using VB .Net 2003 + Crystal Report 2008 SP2 up to Fix Pack 2.6
When the VB program spools crystal report files to print queue, the print queue only shows "Crystal Report" for each document.  How to keep the original file name?  In the past when we were using Crystal Report 11, the original file name can be shown in the print queue.
Please help because it's so important for operation to see which report is failed in printing when reports are printed in batch.
    Thanks

Set the PrintOption.JobTitle value for the print job. Here's C# code on how to:

                CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptions rasPROpts = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.PrintReportOptionsClass();

  • Using file names as picture text in iMovies

I have been using IDVD and it allows you to use the filename as the title of the picture in the slideshow. It is convienant since i dont have to relabel my pictures. So if the file name of the picture is mummy with auntie Kay, then that will appear as the title of my picture. Does Imovies have a similar feature? or do i have to painstakingly relabel all my pictures?

There is no similar feature in imOvie that I know of.

  • Using Actions to SaveForWeb: Unable to keep file name

    ENVIRONMENT:
start with an AI document, saved as an eps.
I have Actions to format the graphic. (one layer)
    GOAL:
Am trying to automate a Save For Web, resize and KEEP THE FILE NAME, with only the file TYPE changing.
    PROBLEM:
I wrote an Action specifying a particular folder to save the jpg to. If i run the Action it will default to the name it was originally saved with. For example, one.eps will save as one.jpg. two.eps will save as one.jpg.
If i delete or rename the folder, the file name will default to the FOLDER NAME. For example one.eps will save as "ExportFolder.jpg"
    MY QUESTION:
Does anyone know how to make it keep the file name of the individual file? or any other tips on using Actions to export.
    Thanks.

  • Mail Receiver adapter - dynamic file name without mail package

I know that we can get the dynamic attachment name using mail package... As per the FAQ Mail adapter, the Mail package use is deprecated and hence we do not want to go that route.
I have seen the following wiki entry for setting the file attachment name...
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/Adapter%20Module%20PI%207.0%20Set%20Attachment%20Name?bc=true
Is this the only approach to dynamic attachment name using Mail adapter (and without Mail package). Or a different approach without Adapter module is possible?

There is a different approach without using mail package or adapter module.

  • How to get file name on picture?

    Hi there.
Is there a way to get the file name on the picture when exporting or "save as" my pictures? I am going to run a web site where people can order pictures and it will be much easier if I can have LR "printing" the file name on the picture.
    Regards,
    Deon

    Deon,
I would try having this done by the web gallery itself (not on but below the picture). LR web galleries offer that option while building them.
If you cannot achieve this, the most common way of putting metadata onto a picture during LR export is by using the LR/Mogrify 2 PlugIn.

  • How can I Bulk add file name to picture

I want to add the file name to the picture, so that when people look at the picture the file name is embedded into the picture.
I have done some research on this top and have found some mention of tools that people have build to do this and indeed many different things I suppose.
Im using PSE 10. Windows 7 Prof.  From what I understand, I cant build tools because my version eg Elements is not full blown. But if people have build something to do this I can then add it to my software and it will function for me.
While in full, quick or even guided there appears to be an option under File/Automation Tools. This appears to be what I need.
Can anyone tell me where this add on is and how to use it, I cant seem to find it and I really dont know if it will work with PSE 10. Many of the refrences I have seen seem to be for earlier version.
Perhaps there is an easier way ??
    Thanks

    Good question.
Basically what I want is the name of the photo name actually in the photo.  I have 400 pictues, I want to put them into a digital picture frame, and I want each picture to be display with the name of the pictures eg. Florida 2012.jpg and Grand Canyon.jpg. Of course I dont need the .jpg extention. But If it is there I can live with it. Im not sure if the Caption option in photoshop elements  can be exported so that the caption is hard wired into the picture. maybe it is. HOWEVER, what I dont want to do is go through 400 pictures and type in the caption for each pictures, if this option is available. It would be nice if the utility copyed the fild name into the caption, if you  could save it with the caption name, but I think Im asking too much.
Anyway basically I want the file name build into the  photo how ever this could be done in a bulk mode.
Is that  a lttle clearer. Here is an examle worth a 1000 words.
BTW I did an experiment and if you put the name in the caption line of the photo. It does not get exported with the file name in the picture. ( which I would asume since not many want the name in the photo, ) Although maybe there is some option that can be turned on to do this ??

  • Keeping file names when rendering out DPX to QT

I am trying to convert a dpx sequence to a quicktime to use for offline editing. When I export the files it does not keep the original file name. It replaces the file name with 1_g1, 2_g1 and so on. I cannot find a way to tell color to keep the orginal file name on export. I still new to Color , but I am quite familiar with encoding programs. Is there really not a way to keep the meta data including the original file name when exporting files?

There's a Chapter on this in the online Color Help...

  • Resolving file names from java package

    Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if there is a way to get the names of all the java classes inside of a package from my app. What I would like it to do, is to read the names of the classes in the package, and then use reflection to create an instance of each. At the moment, I have a properties file that contains all the class names. The app reads the file and uses reflection to create an object of each. This is not as good for me because i would rather be able to drop a new class into the package and have it work instead of having to edit the properties file first.
So, is it possible get the list of files that are contained in a package?
    Thanks,
    Bryan Campbell

So, is it possible get the list of files that are
contained in a package? No, but why not let the application scan a folder?

  • Keep file names when opening multiple files as animation

Hi, i use fireworks when creating huge amount of photo
resizing/cropping, where i need to manualy choose the cropping and
size according to orientation /Horiz. vs Vert./ - i think that
batch processing is not a good option.
So, i use open as animation option in open dialog, i have all
images (+-100) in frames. Is it some way to keep filenames in Frame
Names, without need to do it by hand? Couse then i can export all
    images in one click.

You can set up a batch process without having to enter those
values manually all the time. Do the steps once, on one image only,
and record the procedure in a custom command. Then call your custom
command from the batch process as usual. Fireworks will perform
your recorded steps on the rest of the images while you can sit
    back and relax. ;-)
And like Darrel wrote above, using percentages will make
    image orientation irrelevant.

  • Add file name to the element in target message

    Hi all!
    I try to configure scenario:
Get all files from directory (it will not be the same number of file every time) and mapping this file to the ERP system. I use File adapter to do this. But what Is necessary I need to mapp the file name to the element in target message.
I mean: When I have got the RFC structure imprted from ERP and there I have got the element "filename". I would like to put the file name of file which I mapping to this element. Next put the all file contents with file name to the ERP table.
It is possible to do that??
I found in sap help that I can keep file name in the message header to get the same target file name, but I wont to put file contents (with file name) to the ERP table not to another file.
    THX for all your opinions.
