Keeping Hidden features hidden

Im making some hidden features. I want to prevent users from selecting tracks by right clicking or drop down menus. I've seen it done on DVDs before. (south park DVD) How can I achieve this?

It seems that Keep Alive sometimes disconnects the connection between the
service objects and the environmental manager.
So that any further connection request from the client encounters the
abnormal exception.
Forte seems not to recommend to use this feature in the Forte Relase note
3.0J1.
She states that "Sites that chooses to test KeepAlives should report all
problems to Technical Support ( and let
Technical Support know that you have enabled this capability)"
Should I disable Keep Alive feature under Forte 3.0F2 environment?

I can`t find a view that is named like "APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_IR%". Is it not available on the evaluation instance.
I don`t want to use the build-in CSV download, becaus I want to export thousands of data sets. I got this already to work with APEX 3.0 and I get the sql from the application views. The procedure which creates the file runs a few hours and after that it is inserted into a table from which the user can download the file. In the procedure there happens a few other things, which are very import, so I have to create my custom solution.
And for that I thought it would be very very very cool if I can get the sql behind the interactive report with the filters ant those things.
Don`t you think that would be possible? I guess the APEX create a SQL although, or am I wrong?

Problem keeping hidden individual calendars hidden?

Since updating to iOS 6, I now am receiving pop-up messages from my google calendar events where reminders were setup. Previously I never received these pop-ups and yes they are a good idea but I have a calendar with reminders that I don't want popping-up on my phone. Nothing I do seems to stop them coming from the individual calendar. If I hide the individual calendar under Calendars in the Calendar app, at a later time the pop-ups restart and the the calendar reappears as ticked. There seems to be no option under Mail, Contact, Calenders in Settings. Under Notifications, there is no way of stopping alerts to individual calendars. The problem seems to be that I can't permanently hide an individual google calendar even though the option to untick/hide a calendar exists, it wont stay unticked/hidden.

I have an InDesign file with buttons and "Go to Page" features. So, the buttons are for navigate in the document.
But when I exported my files in Interactive PDF, the "roll over" effect work, but buttons don't work....

How to Update Extended Feature Forms and Keep Extended Features?

In the company I work for we have a bunch of PDF certificates that our Customer Service department uses, namely for international sales. Only the Customer Service manager has Adobe Acrobat so she uses Extended Features so the other people in Customer Service are able to update the forms. The forms were updated for the new year and then saved in a new folder for 2014. Now people that are using Adobe Reader get an error about the document being changed and so the extended features are no longer available. I have read that it can be fixed using Acrobat and saving a copy of the form so that the extended features are disabled and then saving it again to enable extended features, but they have over 60 of these documents so that would take a long time to complete. Is there an easier way to re-enable the extended features?

Not without spending (tens of) thousands of dollars on an application that can apply these rights in batch.
60 files is not that much, though. Sit someone down and they should be able to do it in an hour.
Also, if you upgrade to Reader XI then you won't need those rights anymore, as that version can save filled-in form fields even without them.

HT4515 Is it possible to turn phone features off (not accept calls) and keep other features on (camera)?

I will be traveling outside USA and do not want to receive phone calls while gone. Do not want global roaming, etc. But, I lan to use iphone for camera. Is there a way to cancel call features and use remaining apps?

Wi-fi will still work in Airplane mode. You can try it right now. Just enable Airplane mode, then tap Wi-Fi and turn it back on. You will be able to connect to any hotspots you may be able to find while traveling (and of course wi-fi doesn't use your data plan).

My iPhone keeps exiting features by itself

My iPhone keeps taking me out of whatever I am doing and goes back to the main menu. If I click on the ipod, it exits within seconds. Same for safari, texts. Any ideas of how to fix this?

First, make sure you have room left on your iPhone (Settings>General>About).
Then, do a reset (hold the home key and sleep key together until the apple logo appears).
If this doesn't work, you'll need to restore.

Data grid hidden

hi. okay, have a two click buttons, and they are supposed to write to the xml and read the xml file, and then transform it to the application, when i click on the Current count or On Order buttons, when you click these buttons, have a grey background colour,
foreground blue colour, and have a different font of Verdana and Century School book. it keeps hidden, when i click these buttons, when i load the data grid from the csv. so, how do i make sure that, it is not hidden, when i click on it. will paste the
two button click events. have tried googling this, and did not find any thing. so will paste the code below.

Applescript Launch Item Hidden?

Can Applescript launch Activity Monitor hidden – like how the system Login Items can be kept hidden?
This Applescript works –
launch application "Activity Monitor"
delay 0.5
tell application "Finder" to set visible of process "Activity Monitor" to false
– but it flashes the Activity Monitor window before hiding it.
Could a Terminal call do it? Something like –
do shell script "open /Applications/'Activity Monitor'"
— but with a keep-hidden option? (The -g flag (background) is close, but not quite.)

Telling an application to launch doesn't keep it hidden like it is supposed to, but run works with some applications such as Activity Monitor:
tell application "Activity Monitor" to run

Visual Studio keeps adding SharePoint features when opening a solution

Hello everybody.
I'm facing a rather naughty problem. In a Windows 2012 environment (hosted inside an Azure virtual machine), with SharePoint installed, I created a VS SharePoint on-premise solution. I added a feature, and started adding lists, libraries, site columns, layout
pages and such. At one point, every time I added a new list definition, the VS would create me a new feature. Which is not what I wanted, so I manually deleted the new feature and added the list to the first feature. No matter how much I try, VS keeps adding
features instead of using the one I already got.
But that's a minor problem. After a while of adding lists, I did a check in to my TFS and closed the VS. After a couple of days, I open the VS again, and without a warning VS checked out the solution, checked out my only feature, removed the lists from it
and created one feature for each library. I ended up with feature2.feature, feature3.feature, ..., feature50.feature files!!! Insane!!! I had to manually delete them and re-add them to my first feature.
Now I can't turn VS off without having this mess all over again. Why on Earth would somebody program VS to do this? Is there any way to turn this behaviour off?

Or you could try to download a new sharepoint template in this VS2013 and then create it check if you still get the issue.
I suggest you could try to create a same sharepoint project template from VS2013 on another machine and then check this issue again.

Does keeping "my photo stream", "photo sharing", and "siri" always on drains my iphone battery?

Does keeping these features makes my iphone drain faster? I always use wifi and not 3g. If so, does it affect the battery life even if i have no wifi available?

Switching phones--why can't I keep the same data plan?

I am on a family plan with three phones on it, two of which are Android phones. The third line, currently suspended by me, is on an LG Env3. Before the data plans changed, I added the unlimited data to the phone for $29.99. I reactivated the line to verify the data plan shows on it, and then suspended the phone again.
I want to use this extra line as a house phone, and I have an HTC Eris I'd like to use. Since it's a smart phone, I know I have to have a data package, which is already attached to the line. When I got on-line and tried to reactivate the line, changing it to the Eris, a window popped up telling me I have to switch to one of the new data plans.
Anyone have any idea why it is doing this? I changed from the Eris to a Thunderbolt on one of the other lines two weeks ago, and had no problem keeping the unlimited $29.99 plan.
If I call customer service and do it with a rep, will I be able to keep the $29.99 data plan?

LG Env3 is not a smartphone. The feature phone unlimited data plan is coded differently than the smartphone unlimited data plan. If you change that line to a smartphone (like a Droid Eris) you have to select from the currently available data plan options.
As long as you keep a feature phone on that line you can keep the grandfathered feature phone unlimited data plan.

What's interesting is that it was "rejected" 2 1/2 months after being posted. If the "moderator" has an ounce of courage, kindly contact me off-forum and I'd be happy to give you the names of a dozen highly respected experts who feel the same way I do. My dear Adobe moderator, Dreamweaver is a fine program, but like any program it has flaws. Criticism of those flaws should be faced maturely and used to improve the product in the future. If a critique is, in fact, wrong, it would be obvious and easy to rebut. It seems you are simply trying to sweep your flaws under the carpet. I'm hoping it is the work of a rogue volunteer moderator and not anyone of import at Adobe.

The Fluid Grid Layout is not well-written. I really hate to say it, but
it's another well-intentioned feature that will wither on the vine. The
underlying architecture is flawed and the nature of CSS dictates not
only responsive design, but code updates that are responsive to changes
in browsers and/or bugs in browsers. Making an adaptive page is simply
too easy of a task for anyone willing to take a little time to learn.
Here is a quick example a did a few weeks ago. Interestingly, it was
playing with the Adobe Fluid Grid feature (and getting totally
frustrated with its flaws and complexities) that inspired me to do this

I agree 100% with what you are saying here. And unfortunately, Adobe has not seen this from their end. However, I still believe it has a place, but the core of DW needs to be updated to take advantage of this. The point of adding in this feature is to make it easier for professionals to manage the document. To either make it faster, more efficient, or even provide a GUI to get setup faster. Currently there is no way to logically modify the CSS for the responsive design from what I see right now and that's my biggest complaint about it at this point.
Furthermore, I fear that the "CMS integration" of Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla is no different than having Adobe staff try to support the .NET architecture. Not that I use it, but just because there are a lot of web professionals that do and the support is based on outside sources that Adobe has no control over or no involvement in as far as I am aware. And I don't know if you follow DW, but yesterday they announced that they are releasing the first major update to Dreamweaver, ONLY to Cloud subscribers, and it will be an upgrade to CSS transitions.

I have the iphone 2g with the $20 unlimited data plus 200 texts, is there any way to keep the tiered text messaging plan when I upgrade to the iphone 4s?

I have the original iphone on AT&T with the $20 unlimited data with 200 text messages. I know that I can keep the unlimited data plan when I upgrade to the iphone 4s, but I would also like to keep my 200 text message plan. Is there any way for me to keep this feature? Also on the original Iphone, I could upgrade to the unlimited data plan with 1500 text messages, if I upgrade this feature, will it extend my contract?

HTTP persistent connection (keep Alive) problem

Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a RPC web service and I would like to use the HTTP 1.1 keep alive feature (which should be the default).
I generated the server side and client side code using jdev 903. The AS is OC4j 903.
The problem is that the server is sending a âConnection: close:â header in the SOAP response, despite the client sending a âConnection: keep-aliveâ header in the request. This is obviously causing the client to close the connection and open another for the next message.
The documentation implies that the server will always try to use persistent connections, even so, in the file:
<OC4J_HOME>/j2ee/home/config/http-web-site.xml
there is a config option âuse-keep-alivesâ. Setting this to true has no effect.
Iâm guessing there must be another option somewhere to turn on connection persistence.
Can anyone please help ?

Does anyone know whether Oracle Supports persistent connections ?
I tested this on JBOSS and I seems to get better performance.
