Keeping private contacts off your employers enterprise server

I am trying to understand how I can protect my personal information stored in Outlook Contacts from being stored on my employers enterprise server? The blackberry torch 9800 I have is my personal equipment and I have several email accounts that go to it. However, I'm also on my employers enterprise server and they now have all of my passwords to various websites. Is there anyway to keep specific contacts off an employers enterprise server while still having them appear on the blackberry torch? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

they do not have them unless they are sent in clear text, most sites use SSL or some encryption when logging in

  • If you need to get contacts off your phone... here is a way to do it

    Hi all,
I had a user who lost their address book on their mac. Luckily their contacts were on his phone, but when he went to sync, it erase them.
However, that being said... we still needed to get the info off and couldn't figure out how to move them over. Itunes wasn't helping...
Ecamm makes a product that does it. Best 20.00 bucks I have spent.

Found his data, and allowed me to save it off and he is one happy camper.
So... if you are having problems getting your data... try this

With ATT here in US, if you go to ATT Store, and ask they will give you a new micro-SIM card with your old #, so you will be happy.
The SIM card you have now however, is very easy to cut down to exact size with sharp scissors. If you screw up then just see your Carrier for a new Micro-SIM with your #.

  • How do you delete your email contacts off your child's ipod touch?

My daughter has an iCloud email address for emailing and imessaging. Her device has my Apple ID for iTunes and other Apps so I can control purchases. For some reason, we've seen that when she goes to type in the email address line, it calls up all my email contacts lists. However her Contacts book is virtually empty, so they don't appear on there. How can I stop her device calling up my email addresses (which includes my work email addresses!?)? Will deleting her account and restoring her device to factory settings work, or will it cause all my Contacts data to be deleted?
    Any ideas gratefully received!

You can use her existing iCloud account. That way her existing contacts in iCloud Contacts will be maintained.
Restoring the iPod to factory setting/new with Apple ID and iCloud account will get rid of of your contacts unless they are also in her iCloud Contacts.

  • Enterprise Server vs. wipe hand held

i bought my blackberry 8330 from eBay flashed for Cricket service. when i went to set up my Setup Wizard, not being used to the ball, i accidentally pressed use for work phone & now it keeps asking me for my blackberry enterprise server email. i reset the phone causing me to loose my cricket internet service but not my phone service. so i re-flashed it back to cricket but it still wont let me add my personal email address so that my apps will work or so that i can send email from my phone. i read somewhere that if i wipe my hand held that it might reset the Setup Wizard, but i don't want to have to re-flash it cause it removes my internet service again. what exactly will happen if i wipe my hand held? will it reset the Setup Wizard? Will I have to re-flash again back to my service provider? i would be forever greatful if someone would point me in the right direction

    Hi Bowtiecj7,
My name is Ryan and I work on behalf of Cricket Wireless. I would love to share more details regarding Cricket Wireless' new BlackBerry Curve 8530 Smartphone and plan.
The device's current MSRP is $299.99 and requires our BlackBerry $60/month plan. You pay $60 per month, period. No monthly data fee required. Other carriers charge up to $30 a month in data fees. At Cricket it's simple: get unlimited talk, text and data and use your BlackBerry Smartphone to stay connected, anywhere within Cricket's coverage area.
You will have the freedom to travel with access to mobile email, full HTML browsing and exclusive BlackBerry features including BlackBerry push email, BlackBerry Messenger, and BlackBerry App World.
Plus, you get caller ID, voicemail, call forwarding, international text, video and picture messaging, mobile web, 3-way calling  and data backup.

  • Shutting off Enterprise Server

I have the 8130 (Verizon) and cannot figure out how to shut off my enterprise server.  I don't want to receive my work email while in my office, only when I'm away from my desk.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you connection your BlackBerry to Desktop Manager when at your desk? If so, you can configure one of the options to NOT forward messages when connected.

There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:

In particular, pay attention to the mobile device support sections near the bottom, assuming you have already done the items above it.

You turn private browsing off on the Safari page. Tap the + sign in the upper right corner, then tap private in the lower left corner. You know you're in private when the top of the screen is dark.

I get a message "The Itunes server could not be contacted, check your internet connection" when trying to check for Ipod Nano software updates. I have a 1st generation Nano and haven't updated the software for a while. My internet connection is working. Was thre a change in the internet address for NANO software updates? Do I have to reconfigure something in Itunes to point to the correct address?

What version of iTunes are you using?  The latest is 10.6.3. In iTunes, choose Help -> About iTunes to check the version number. If it's lower than 10.6.3, download the latest version from here.

  • Private Browsing keeps turning itself off

Is Private Browsing supposed to only be temporary? Every time I restart Safari 6, Private Browsing turns it self back off again. I wouldnt even care really if it didnt broadcast my current browsing activites to my family-used iPad! Talk about security issues... (Sure I can turn off Safari syncing on the iPad, but then I lose all bookmarks and auto login info).

Well I guess my point is that it's not really a "setting" if it doesn't stay "set". I realize it is defaulted to off, but once you change it from the default setting, it should remail off--even if restarting Safari. Private Browsing on iOS works as expected; you turn it off and it stays off. I feel like this is a major oversight for Safari on OS X, especially considering the privacy concerns I previously noted. Unless, of course, there is a glitch with my particular system or I am missing a more permanent option somewhere keep Private Browsing turned on.

You'd have to think through this, but it seems like if you are using Outlook, and the items vanished from the Outlook client as well as the server, that you could re-populate Outlook using iTunes.

You need to contact iTunes support and send an email by following the link I posted.
    Simply going there does nothing.

  • How do you keep videos on the ipod but off your hard drive?

When i tried to keep the videos off my hard drive but keep them on my ipod it deleted them off of my ipod also. is there any way i can just keep the videos on my ipod, but off my computers hard drive? thanks,
    keith

you could simply add your movies to your ipod by syncing them. Adn then afterwards remove them adn manually manage your music on your ipod syncing with new music you want to add. Or another way is to burn your movies to a disc adn then whenever you want movies on your ipod then you can iport the movies from the disc to your harddrive and then sync your ipod and then manually manage your itunes adn sync of new music.
