Keeping SMS count

How can you tell how many sms you have sent? Since you get charged a lot if you go over, this is important to know. I didn't see it in usage. Thanks to anyone who knows. -dr

Right now, there's no way to track it.
However in a month or so, when the accounts get updated, you can log onto your AT&T account and i think they updated daily (sometimes it's only off by an hour or so) on usage.
And it's 10 cents per txt if you go over.

  • Convert Music while Keeping Play Count, etc.

    I've just come to the conclusion that AAC sounds significantly better than MP3 at the same bitrate. I've also noticed from using my own music that a song that's 128-kbps AAC sounds just as good as 160-kbps MP3.
    When I first started using iTunes (back in my Windoze days), I imported the majority of my music as 160-kbps MP3 and continued doing so after I got my MBP.
    Now since I realized that I could have the same quality of music take up much less space if I use 128-kbps AAC, I would like to convert my MP3s to AAC. However, when doing this in iTunes, it does not copy the play count, last played, etc. While it wouldn't be a big deal if I only had a few hundred songs, I have over 2500 that I would want to convert.
    Does anyone know of a way (or another application) that can convert my MP3s to AAC and keep play counts and other tags?
    Tanks in advance for any help.

    Well, that's the problem. I've got everything figured out about how I'd convert my music and remove the originals. But my problem is I don't want to lose my play counts. If were just a couple songs, I could just run up the play count on my own, but I have way too many songs to do that to.
    That's why I'm trying to find out if there's some way (a script or another application) to convert my files and keep all that information.
    Sorry, but you cannot. Converting music formats creates a new separate file. It is supposed to work that way due to the differences in file qualities and other details. Playcount can only be manipulated by either playing the tracks through or editing the iTunes database (something I do not recommend)

  • SMS count for 5230

    how do i get the SMS count for Nokia 5230. In my earlier mobile i could go to Log>Message Log and get the count for Sent SMS's and Recieved SMS and for MMS's also. I could not find the option in the 5230. Is there any way of finding the number of SMS's sent and recieved?

    If you open a message you'll see in the upper right corner the amount messages.

  • Search a character and keep a count

    Hi,
    I need to search a character in a record and keep a count of it.
    eg adddff#dddeer#dderr#fff#.
    I have to find how many #s are there and keep a count.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi arashad,
    1. This is one way.
    2. For this purpose i have written
       an INDEPENDENT SUBROUTINE (FORM)
       which will return the # count (any character count)
       from  a string.
    3. just copy paste
    4.
    report abc.
    DATA : M(25) TYPE C.
    DATA : CNT  TYPE I.
    M = 'adddff#dddeer#dderr#fff##'.
    PERFORM GETCOUNT USING M '#' CNT.
    WRITE :/ CNT.
    FORM GETCOUNT USING MAINSTR PFIND CHANGING CNT.
      DATA : L TYPE I.
      DATA : CTR TYPE I.
      CNT = 0.
      L = STRLEN( MAINSTR ).
      WHILE CTR < L.
        IF MAINSTR+CTR(1) = PFIND.
          CNT = CNT + 1.
        ENDIF.
        CTR = CTR + 1.
      ENDWHILE.

  • Keeping the Count in detail section

    Hi Iam new to the crystal reports and  here are my issue's
    In my database i have 336 records and i want to keep this count in my details section and when i did the following thing its priting my count for 336 times in my details section which i do not want that i want to print the count of total records in the detail section for only once.
    Under the formula fields i have written something like this
    Count({Command.TRACKNUM}); This is working fine but only problem is its printing for 336 times
    Second question is In My database i will be having records with different statuses like completed,prepared,incompleted so i also want to count the records with the diffrent statuses and print them in the detail section
    My report should be like this
                 Total Samples            Comppleted Samples         InCompleted Samples          Prepared Samples     ///Will be in the page header section
                               336                               300                            18                                        18              //Was suppose to be in the detail section
    to have a conditional count i have written some this like this in the formula field
    ({Command.status}="Prepared"
    Count({Command.TRACKNUM});  Which does not worked
    I Appreciate your help and Thanks in Advance.

    I think you are confused about the details.  If you put that formula in the detail section it will obviously be repeated for every single row.if what you want is a page header with the details that's fine but your summary should go into a group header/footer or the report footer.You've already got the total record count which is fine.if you want a quick and simple way to evaluate completed, incomplete, prepared samples simply create 3 simple formulas and place them in the details section (you can suppress them if you wish not to view them)@completedif status = "prepared" then 1 else 0@incompleteif statues = "incomplete" then 1 else 0@pepared_sampleif status = "prepared" then 1 else 0simply insert summary's for each of the above formulas and you will have your desired results

  • Moving iTunes From PC to Mac keeping play counts etc.

    I am trying to move my iTunes from a PC ( XP ) to a Mac ( OS X ). I have moved the entire iTunes folder which contains the XML file and music folder to the mac using an external hard drive. The PC was consolidated before the copy. On the Mac I found and replaced the PC file location to Mac file location (text editor). I then corrupted the iTunes Library.itl ( I believe that was the file). I Then dragged the edited XML file into iTunes without opening it (dragged it over the icon on the dock). It then started to rebuild the library. I thought i worked great. Which it did.
    Problem: I am missing about 400 out of 3000 songs. There is no reference in the Mac iTunes XML. The Library is 32GB. I have all the movies, which is a large chunk of that. It is very very important that i keep the data related to those song ( play counts, ratings... ).
    The songs are in the iTunes Music folder

  • Transferring music to an external hard drive while keeping play counts

    Hello all.
    I received a 250 GB external hard drive for my birthday yesterday as my internal one was getting very full. I decided that I would transfer my 3000+ songs on to it in hopes of clearing some room. Now, I know that once you move a file from its original destination (I did not have the "Copy to iTunes Music Folder" setting enabled) but I have consolidated my library and now everything is in that folder.
    I've been having a lot of trouble getting the songs to actually be recognized from my external hard drive even though the whole iTunes folder had been copied there (I was too afraid to delete the original incase it didn't work). I have also went into the iTunes preferences and changed the location of the folder to where it is on my external hard drive, and it updates the library but when it is done nothing is different. When I look at the "info" for songs, they are still shown as on my internal drive.
    How do I make iTunes see that my music is on my external drive and for it to start looking there instead of internally while keeping my play counts and playlists?

    Hi,
    here is the correct procedure for moving your music to an external drive - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1364

  • 4th Gen ipod not keeping Play Count

    4th gen ipod, software version 3.1.1, itunes 8
    My ipod is no longer keeping track of play count or last played. It seemed to stop when I update the software on the ipod. I manually manage my music, and I do not care if it syncs back to the songs on my hard drive. But when I plug my ipod in and look at the songs on there, it does not show that I have listened to anything.

    I would use the Restore button in iTunes to erase the iPod's hard drive and initialize the iPod's software. Then sync all of your songs in your iTunes library back to the iPod.

  • Unread SMS count is wrong

    My unread message count is 1 all the time. I have gone through all my SMS conversations one by one and none of them should be unread, and none have a blue dot next to them.
    I thought 2.1 would get rid of this but the problem is still there. Has anyone else had this problem?

    The message in question is from a normal number with messages in the SMS app that I can read, and that I reply to many times a day so nothing unusual there. However.....
    * It does not show up in the SMS thread for that number
    * in the database the flag on it is 0 (instead of 2 or 3 for a normal message)
    See below.... the message that doesn't appear in SMS.app and that has a strange 'unread' flag...
    sqlite> select * from message where flags='0';
    140|+44xxphonenumberxx|1219769358|Sender attempted to call you 2 time/s without leaving a message. Last attempt on 26.08.2008, 18:49. Swisscom|0|1||19|0|75|0|0
    deleting the row doesn't work.....
    sqlite> delete from message where ROWID =140;
    SQL error: no such function: read
    updating it to look like a normal row doesn't work either...
    sqlite> update message set flags=2 where flags=0;
    SQL error: no such function: read
    because there are triggers on the message table....
    sqlite> .schema message
    CREATE TRIGGER delete_message AFTER DELETE ON message WHEN NOT read(old.flags) BEGIN UPDATE msg_group SET unread_count = (SELECT unread_count FROM msg_group WHERE ROWID = old.group_id) - 1 WHERE ROWID = old.group_id; END;
    CREATE TRIGGER markmessageread AFTER UPDATE ON message WHEN NOT read(old.flags) AND read(new.flags) BEGIN UPDATE msg_group SET unread_count = (SELECT unread_count FROM msg_group WHERE ROWID = new.group_id) - 1 WHERE ROWID = new.group_id; END;
    Any sqlite help appreciated.... perhaps dumping the triggers to a temporary table, deleting them, removing the row, then putting the triggers back...... I'll try that next time I have some spare time unless someone can find a way in the meantime and post it up.

  • Rebuild library, but keep play counts?

    My large library has been working great.  It is kept on the internal drive.  The problem is none of my music is showing up in the media browser of an open dialogue box on any Apple apps (mail, iphoto, etc) and most 3rd party apps.  It has been suggested I rebuild the library, which is done by trashing 2 files, iTunes library and the XML file.  I hesitate to do this because my gut feeling tells me this will delete metadata, such as play counts.  I would really like to keep my play counts, as I do use them in smart playlists?  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

    I don't know if the media browser uses it, but the XML file is provided for third party programs as a way of querying the iTunes database. The name of the XML file is iTunes Music Library.xml if your library is in the standard location of the user's Music folder. If you relocate the library somewhere else the XML file is iTunes Library.xml. Perhaps there is an empty non-updating file in one location and media browser isn't watching the correct one. Or it could be something else entirely. The XML file is safe to delete however, so it's worth a shot if you haven't already tried it. Trashing the library file and rebuilding from the XML is another issue as certain metadata (date added for example) will be lost with that method.

  • SMS Count

    Is there a trick I can use on the phone to check how many sms messages I have sent during the billing cycle? Do I get billed at a new rate if I go above? I think the plan I chose allowed 200 for free and even though I never used SMS before, this phone makes it easier.
    //Cheers

    for some reason, i've used more than 200 text messages using the iphone than i have with any other phone. i don't know what it is, but its much easier to send texts using the iphone. i even upgraded my plan to the 1500, although may downgrade if i find myself only slightly going over 200. it would probably be cheaper just to pay the per text charge.
