Keeps capitalizing letters I want in lower case

when I'm typing something in lower case it sometimes changes to capitals. For example, for a URL i put in the letters .co.U.K. and it changes the U.K. (as it has done here) - the U.K. I have put in lower cases in all examples here and you can see the result. This means I cannot reach my intended website because the URL is not recognized.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Safari v7.0 not rendering the letters 'f' and 'i' (lower case) ??

    Tried alternate Safari encoding, Western (Mac OS Roman) and Unicode (UTF-8) - this makes no difference.
    Chrome (v13xxx) works just fine using Western (ISO-8859-1)??
    Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

    Not sure what you are referring too.  I didn't provide any spam links and was asking a serious question.  How about providing a serious answer?
    If the link provided was incorrect, my apologies but here it is again:  http://superfundwholesale.com.au
    BTW...I have checked that this link works.
    Note that if you opened this in Safari the lower case 'f' and 'i' does not render whereas in Chrome it does.  Look at the menu item which should read "Benefits".
    The same through the site.... no 'f's or 'i's apparent.  This is a Safari problem.
    Cheers..

  • Mac keep automatically changing ALL CAPS to lower case in Pages.

    MacBook Pro automaticaly changes all CAPS to lower case in Pages. It will automatically revert and I can't make the CAPS stay, regardless if I hold 'shift' and type or press the 'caps lock' key. Is there a setting where I can disable this feature?

    You have not said where you are copying this from but it sounds like what you have is text that is styled by CSS on a web page or ATSUI (Apple's typographic type engine) to appear ALL CAPS.
    The actual text is actually U&lc or lowercase.
    You can restyle it using:
    Menu > Format > Font > Capitalization > All Caps

  • URL: Change to lower case

    My URL has the first letter capitalized and the rest in lower case. I wanted to change to all lower or all upper case. I can't seem to get this accomplished. Any suggestions? Thanks

    If by URL you mean the pagename in the iWeb Sidebar, then yes, it is a funny bug in iWeb.
    Select the name and hit Return.
    Type something else and hit Return.
    Hit return again and type the name and/or characters you want in upper-, lower- or anycase and hit Return.
    You can accomplishg the same in the Page Inspector.

  • Homepage URL requires capital letters & FFX 24 doesn't save them

    My first homepage (of 2) is the following:
    http://classic.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=27591&wuselect=WEATHER
    Note the 5 upper case letters.
    When saved and FFX 24 is restarted, the upper case letters are replaced with lower case and the home page is not found. You can see below that it has been saved without the upper case letters. If I manually correct the letters using Tools | Options, the Homepage button will work one time.
    I have disabled Norton Toolbar & Vulnerability Protection.

    I did report this to Norton. Apparently this bug affects IE as well, and they are tracking it down.
    I just wanted to cross post here so FF users would know this is not a FF bug.

  • Acrobat Forms - Capital Letters throughout

    I have a form in which each field needs to be completed in capital letters, and wanted to force this through validation scripting - but I cannot work out how.
    Can someone help me please?

    Conversion.  The form is to be printed, and posted (very retro, I know), but if it is not completed in capital letters it becomes invalid.  So, I think conversion would be the most universal method.

  • Lower case letters checkbox

    Could anybody explain me the use of Lower case letters checkbox under general tab in the info object

    Hi,
    from help
    Lowercase Letters Allowed / Not Allowed
    If this indicator is set, the system differentiates between lowercase letters and capital letters when you use a screen template to input values. If this indicator is not set, the system converts all the letters into capital letters when you use a screen template to input values. During the load process or in the transformation, no conversion occurs.
    This means that values with lowercase letters cannot be updated to an InfoObject that does not allow lowercase letters
    If you choose to allow the use of lowercase letters, you must be aware of what happens when you input variables:
    If you want to use the characteristic in variables, the system is only able to find the values for the characteristic if the lowercase letters and the capital letters are typed in accurately on the input screen for variables. If, on the other hand, you do not allow the use of lowercase letters, any characters that you type in the variable screen, are converted automatically into capital letters.
    Thanks

  • Conversation lower case to upper case by default not wanted

    Hi,
    Oracle converts lower case table names and columns names to upper case by default. To keep lower case letters names must be quoted. This "work around" is not acceptable.
    Is there a way to change this behavior either for the database or for a session?
    Thanks

    Easy answer. We are migrating from sybase ASE to
    oracle. Sybase supports mixed lower/upper case by
    default.Which is a proprietary behavior. After all these years of accusing Oracle of not conforming to standards, when they do (or come close) it bites them. <g>
    Users are familiar with reading column names like
    "RxCellsHec0Clp0" instead of "RXCELLSHEC0CLP0".
    Yes, there are users working directly with sql.If the users are used to putting the column name in double-quotes, then creating the table with identifiers in double-quotes will conform to the expected behaviour. That simply means that each and every reference to the table requires double-quote around the identifiers.
    And it is quite impossible to get them changing all their queries
    from select RxCellsHec0Clp0 from ...
    to select "RxCellsHec0Clp0" from ...One alternative is to wrap every table (of concern) with a view. My thought would be to leave the table with upper case identifiers, have the view with mixed-case identifiers, and use private synonyms to redirect the user to the view.
    The assumptions are
    1) user-oriented security is in place
    2) users use the quoted-identifier syntax

  • Ignoring lower case letters

    Because I like how it looks, I will type most of my text on
    some pages in all lower case letters. When I spellcheck, DW stops
    at the begining of every sentence and wants to correct the
    "mistake" of a lower case first letter. Is there a way I can get DW
    to ignore this. It's not that big of a deal, but it is kind of
    annoying. Thanks for your help and time,
    Dale.

    It doesn't look like the code you wrote will dothat.
    And that tells me you haven't tried to implement it.
    If you don't know how to do it yourself, how is it
    you're going to tell if something else doesn't work?
    After adding a little something to it, it worked. I wasn't trying to be rude, it just looked liked it wouldn't do what I was trying to do. Thanks for the help.

  • Why capital letters change in lower after copying them from a PDF document, or otherwise, why some uppercase are in fact lowercase when I look in the Text Property in any PDF Reader.

    Why capital letters change in lower after copying them from a PDF document (Made by InDesign), or otherwise, why some uppercase are in fact lowercase when I look in the Text Property in any PDF Reader.

    your home page to get into your Web site should be index.html (for Mac) or index.htm  (on PC)
    You can name it something other than index, but will be harder to find.  when you create the subjects and link to them, they can can be named anything with the html extension  Or if your using PHP end in .php. There is a Microsoft type asp or aspx but your hosting service has to set up using windows server system.
    My hosting service use a Linux server normally but can convert Windows for a Fee.  UNIX Linux has no concept of asp or aspx.

  • Can I make the keyboard display lower case letters?

    Sorry for possibly a totally n00bie question....I'm completely new to Apple products. I just bought my first Apple product yesterday, iPad Air (full size).
    My question is in regard to the virtual keyboard. It displays the letters in upper case, so it makes it difficult to determine between upper and lower when I press the shift key because it doesn't look any different.
    Is there a way to make the keyboard display lower case letters when in lower case mode and vica versa for upper case?

    In my opinion, this is still one the silliest oversights in design by Apple.  They can make the little switch button on flashlight icon in the control tray toggle between up and down, but they can't toggle the case of the letters to reflect the status of the Shift key?  Seriously...without actually using your phone, can you tell me which icon represents Shift being enabled?  Is it the black arrow with the white background or the white arrow with the grey background?

  • Problem forcing lower case letters in a field using a javascript action bar

    Following a tips and tricks site I found I am attempting to implement a global web applet toolbar that will force the letters entered into a given field into lower case.
    As far as I can tell, I've done everything correctly, but it's not changing the field. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong?
    <script>
    function lowercaseInput()
         var INPUT_ID = 'AccountDetailForm.Field Name';
         var elem = document.getElementById(INPUT_ID);
         if( elem != null )
              elem.style.textTransform = 'lowercase'
              try {
                   elem.addEventListener('keyup',function (e) { this.value=this.value.toLowerCase();
    }, true);
              } catch(e){
                   elem.attachEvent('onkeyup', function (e) { this.value=this.value.toLowerCase(); });
    setTimeout ( "lowercaseInput()",2000 );
    </script>

    You have to send the other information and update it all

    how can I save a jepg file in lower case letters? I check the use lower case box in preferences but it's not happening. PSCC

    Let's try a preferences reset: (Windows)
    Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop.  If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be VERY quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being set to defaults.
