Keeps requesting appleID password

I have ios 8 on a 5S - about once a day my phone will crash and then ask repeatedly for appleID passwords
this happened in a major way about 5 days ago meaning ALL my IOS devices (4 of them, one belonging to my wife) started asking for appleID passwords and refusing to recognise them until we turned on privacy for world time (a known glitch which apple STILL hasnt sorted) - even then there appears to be automatic resets to my profile on my wifes phone so she ends up receiving imessages meant for me.
We deliberately set up all the idevices so theres no family sharing or Icloud sharing of anything other than Find iphone
Anyone else had this problem, as well as the very lame battery power?

Just to clarify Icloud uses the correct Appleid to do the restore, but finds an incorrect in the Restore itself, which I cannot satisfy because the restored incorrect ID no longer exists!

I cannot edit the outgoing server, and the keychain will not save my passwords (the ports are valid). How can I change the outgoing server to send emails, and how can I avoid having Mail request my passwords every 2 minutes? Verizon, as usual, will not provide support to iMacs.

Is there an email saved in your drafts or outbox folder? I suspect that Mail is continually trying to send it, and each time Google is rejecting the email message.
You can open the message and then delete it from your Outbox folder. Then try removing all @gmail email addresses from it and seeing whether you can send to the other folks. I suspect that will work.
With email, if an SMTP server *can* verify email addresses, sometimes it will and it will refuse to send messages. If a message has to be relayed across servers, no verification is done, and you'll get a bounce if an email address is bad.

Try a reboot:
To reboot your iPad, hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears. If, during this process, a slider appears on the screen to power it off, ignore it and keep holding the buttons down.
Rebooting your iPad can solve a lot of problems. Once you do that, go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and make sure the correct, new password is entered in that account.

There seems to be a few bugs with iCloud Mail at times, so send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Not again! MacMail keeps requesting my password and rejecting it!

While composing an e-mail, my MacMail began repeatedly asking for the password for my second mailbox (different password than for primary mailbox). When I enter it, it keeps rejecting it. I tried the password for my primary mailbox, but it rejects that too. This is the second time this has happened! Yes, I'm pretty much computer tech illiterate! And yes, I'm embarrassed to say I can't remeber how it was resolved last time. If anyone can help, I'll save the instructions this time!

Unfortunately when he ran Keychain First Aid it showed there were no problems.
When I finished phoning him Mail was still requesting and rejecting passwords.
I have a feeling that whenever it has happened to me I have given up in despair only to find that a day or so later things are back to normal, which would suggest a temporary problem at the ISP's end.

Family share approval keeps requesting icloud password

I have Family Sharing set to require my approval when my daughter buys something from the store. Today when I try to approve items it keeps asking me to input my icloud password.

When I put it in, the same dialogue box just reopens with no error message. Today she bought 3 songs. This issue arose and I tried to input my password to no success. I then went to Settings/iCloud and it asked for my Password and there it took. So I went back to the Family Share notifications and 2 went through but when I tried to approve the third it asked for the password again. I tried going back to the iCLoud settings but it doesn't ask for my password. I then actually reset my password to something new but that didn't help either.

Thanks. I did not sign out but as I mentioned I did reset the password. Signing out deletes everything from the device so I held off. It turns out that these folks tried it last fall when it hapened to them and it didn't work:

It also happens that the same thing is happening on my imac, so it's probably not a hardware issue.

My charter email account was working fine last night and now today my mac book pro keeps requesting the password and when I enter it, it still cannot receive mail?

Fairly new to mac, and today my charter email account keeps asking me for password which was working fine last night when I went to bed. Now today it states that it is not the correct password and I cannot get my mail? What should I do here?

Outlook keeps requesting my password

Whenever I start Outlook to check my btinternet mail it asks for my password. Even if I reinsert it asks again and won't send or receive email.
Only work around is to log into yahoo webmail then log out and then outlook works until the next time.
There was a log post which was closed as supposedly the issue had been fixed. Sorry to say in my case it hasn't.
I have tried various suggestions that have been posted but all to no avail.
Logged the problem with Yahoo Customer Care but no response despite promising to get back to me in 24-48 hours.

Yep same problem here, not been working on my iPhone for over a month and has now stopped working within Outlook 2010 since Saturday.
Very annoying to be honest especially considering the amount of people with the same problem, been with BT for 12 years and this is the only problem I've had so that's a bonus

Iphone 4s keeps requesting Exchange password

I have encountered a problem with a couple of our iPhones when connected to our corporate Exchange server. iPhones (4s) were recently deployed to our user community. During the initial setup, all phones were able to connect to the Exchange server via ActiveSync. A couple of days later, 2 of our users reported issues with their phones, in which they were constantly prompted for the Exchange password. The users would have to hit cancel repeatedly to, so that they could use their phone. The users’ domain account passwords were not scheduled to be changed. The users re-entered their domain password on their phones. The phones were then working normally at that point. However, I was notified the next day that the problem reappeared. I deleted the users’ account information from their phones, and then performed an upgrade to IOS 5.1. I then added the account information back to the phones. Again, the phones were working initially, then the problem re-appeared. I had the user create new passwords. And again, they are still encountering a problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be happening? It's strange these 2 phones are the only ones encountering this problem.

I am not really sure if this will answer you question in one part of you post you say you can download free apps and in the other you say you can't but I will give it my best shot. Itunes (the app store) always needs up to date payment info either a credit card with atleast a dollar on it you wont get charged anything if the app is free this it just to back purchases. Or if you don't want to put you credit card info in you can just get a prepaid itunes card. Itunes will ask for your passcode every fifteen min. you can set it to ask for it every time you purchase something but every 15 min is the norm. Hope this helps.

I just set up a replacement phone today. Entred my mail accounts and everyting was fine until a few hours ago: I am repeatedly asked for my password
Error is " Cannot send mail-No password provided for "SMTP:[email protected] lLease go to settings and enter.
I have cleared existing password and re entered and still it will not send. I have deleted the account and still no luck. I am able to receive email as well as send form my mobileme account. Please advise. I am on iphone 4 3G OS 4.3.5

well they create a code lock for the phone for a reason... i think it's ridiculous , especially for those of us with very secure passwords ...

Trash keeps requesting my password

Previously trash would build up as usual then I would eventually sort through it or just delete it. Now when I move somthing to trash it immediately pops up with "Finder wants to make changes" and I have to enter my password every time. Also trash no longer builds up, it just directly deletes files. How do I change it back?

Yes. Try this:
Open Terminal in the Utilities folder. Paste the following at the prompt:
rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press RETURN.
Also see You can't empty the Trash or move a file to the Trash

hi, i had to change my primary email address from hotmail to outlook and i did that on icloud online however my iphone keeps requesting my password but with my old email address. please help! this has been going on for months and i can't change it on my phone. i already changed it online on my icloud. also i can't revert to my old email address because that is now used as security back up. total catch22.

You probably have a mobile me account set up without using mobile me in the mail, contacts, calendar settings. See if you have another email account set up using the mobile me settings.

Itunes 8.1 keeps asking for password

Since I updated to itunes 8.1, I can not update anymore my ipod/iphone apps via itunes. I can still do it via my ipod touch...
What is strange, is that I can access to my AppleID account (via iTunesStore), I can still download music, podcast, etc.
iTunes just still keeps requesting my password when I want to update applications.
I tried repairing the authorizations after updating itunes --> no success.
Is anyone having the same problem?
Any idea? Any solution?

That only works if you're running Netbarrier. I'm not running Netbarrier and iTunes likes to ask for my password all the time and doesn't remember it when i check the box to remember the password. very frustrating.... still looking for a fix.

What to do when someone doesnt like another user who uses my (for example) forum like application and keeps requesting new passwords for this user...
I think the user would go crazy about his password changing all the time and stops visiting the forum. Does someone know a solution?
It would be nice if a user must confirm his password change trough e-mail before it gets changed, something like the account activation system or something.

Yes, if you change the email password, the stolen iPod will not download new mail. Existing mail on the device can be accessed.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
