If you home page is google.com/firefox that page is wrong. Change your home page to about:home or some other page.

There is an updated version number 10.7.0.21 that is available if you go to the iTunes link here on Apple.com. It won't show up under Apple Software Update and if you check for updates via iTunes it likely won't show either.

There is a lot of web content that I am unable to view or hear because I don't have the latest version of Flashplayer. Should I be concerned about downloading it?No, as long as you only download directly from Adobe.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe. -
Hi. I am trying to install the watermark panel plugin. I installed the extension manager, and when I tried to install the plugin, the extension manager said I don't have the latest version of photoshop. I thought when you paid into the creative cloud you get all the latest versions? Lance
The Creative Cloud has three versions of Photoshop version 13, 14 and 15. You can install the ones you want I have them and CS2 installed.

I'm sorry but your post seems vague as to exactly what version of what you are running, therefore, it comes as a surprise that you mention that "it" won't let you update iTunes. Did you run Software Update or try updating from within iTunes?
If you are running a Mac under Mac OS X 10.6.3, then if you should be able to update that by using System Update to version 10.6.8 - first and foremost.
Then, assuming you can run Mac OS X 10.6.8; I would think that you can (secondarily) update iTunes to Version 10.7 or Ver. 11.0.5.; IMHO 10.7 is better as it has Coverflow. Nonetheless...

Why does Firefox tell me that I don't have the latest version of Flash but Adobe tells me that I do?
Firefox keeps telling me that I have to upload a newer version of Adobe Flash. However, Adobe tells me that I have the latest version. Also, Google Chrome lets me see pages that Firefox will not load because it thinks I don't have the right version of Flash! Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to upgrade to OS X Mavericks but when I click on download, nothing happens. It shows as purchased but nothing is happening. I have the MacBook Pro Late 2011 model. I am unable to load any new apps because it says that I don't have the latest OS version. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate it! Thanks

It wiped my Mac's hard drive totally clean!
A technician here was able to reload the original OS but all my pictures, files and contacts were
sent God knows where !
I should have done a back up, so I learned my lesson the hard way !
What really annoyed me was that this is an Apple program, so I wrongly assumed it would be a safe download.

He told me that others in our small town had experienced the same problem, and since we live in a small community of about 6000, I wonder how many others have had this problem in more populated centers ?
Everything is thankfully up and running again ( at great expense in time and money ) but I will exercise more jurisprudence in future offers for any upgrades! -
I have Pages, created a document in it LAST NIGHT and today it will not open, advising that I need to have the latest version of Pages to open. I have the latest version and it STILL won't open! Help! Thanks!
You leave us to guess what you think is the "latest version".
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

When I tried the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time to download 5.0.1, Firefox states that I have the latest version installed, but it still shows up as version 3.6.19 in the "about Firefox" box. And this older version is also reflected in your "educated guesses" about my current browser below.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
I am trying to get the latest version of ITunes on my laptop, but the download gets "interrupted" every time. THen I can't synch with any devices. I've tried recycling ITunes and downloading again. I am not sure I've actually uninstalled the old version though. How should I proceed?

InDesign CC -- why does it say I don't have the latest version?
I currently have InDesign CC 9.2, MAC. I have gone to the help menu and "updated" the program. I had someone send me a file that was designed in a trial version of the program; she needed some help with the file. When I tried to open the file I got the message "unable to open this file, it was created in a newer version of the program". If I have CC and update the program how can there be a more current version of the program? How do I fix this problem?
