Keine Miniaturansichten von Nef Datein in Bridge

Ich habe nicht von allen Nef Datein in der Bridge eine Miniaturansicht, obwohl ich die Fotos von der gleichen Speicherkarte, gleicher Nikon Kamera auf die Festplatte übertragen habe. Der Fehler taucht sowohl bei der D 200 als auch bei der D70s auf. Ich kann überhaupt keine Zusammenhänge ersehen, warum die eine Nef Datei als Miniaturansicht sichtbar ist und die andere nicht. Kennt jemand das Problem?

Übrigens kann ich in Bridge auch nicht mehr die Camera Raw-Voreinstellungen in der Menüleiste auswählen (sind grau hinterlegt). Die Bridge-Voreinstellungen gehen, und wenn ich die Camera Raw-Voreinstellungen in Photoshop oder bei geöffnetem Bild direkt in Camera Raw bearbeiten will, funktionieren auch diese ganz normal - nur eben nicht mehr aus Bridge ...

Keine Anzeige der Metadaten von nef-Dateien in Bridge

Seit kurzem bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung, wenn ich versuche meinen RAW-Dateien (Nikon nef) in der Bridge ein Stichwort zuzuweisen: "In der Datei XY.nef können keine XMP-Metadaten gespeichert werden."
Bisher war dies kein Problem und hat immer tadellos funktioniert; alle XMP-Filialdokumente sind auch noch vorhanden und Änderungen in der RAW-Datei werden auch dort hineingeschrieben (wie ich im Editor sehen kann). Aber in der Bridge werden keinerlei Metadaten mehr angezeigt!
Ich habe bereits die Bridge- u. Photoshop-Voreinstellungen zurückgesetzt und den Cache gelöscht.
Ich benutze Photoshop CS 6, Bridge 5.02 und ACR 8.7 - also die aktuellen Versionen. Betriebssystem MAC OS 10.7.5 (Lion).

Nach dem Konvertierung von nef nach dng, die Bildtiefe ändert von16 nach 17 bit

Nach der Konvertierung von nef Dateien in dng, zeigt Bridge unter Metadaten, Dateieingenschaften, dass die Bildtiefe 17 bit gross ist.
Um was handelt es sich diese neue 1 Bit Bildtiefe?
Weiss jemand eine Erklärung dafür?

Das könnte wohl ein Fehler in der deutschen Version vom DNG Converter oder von Photoshop sein.
Könnten Sie uns ein Beispiel einer solchen NEF-Datei und/oder einen Screenshot oder Bildschirmfoto vom Pogramfenster, in dem Sie das beobachten, zur Verfügung stellen?
Welche Version des DNG Converter und des Betriebssystem verwenden Sie?

Photoshop Elements 11, keine Miniaturansichten mehr

Nach dem Wechsel von Windows XP auf Windows 7, 64 bit zeigt mir Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 keine Miniaturansichten mehr an.
Habe bis jetzt keine Möglichkeit gefunden die Miniaturansichten wieder zu aktivieren. Es erscheinen nur Eieruhrsymbole.
Wie kann ich die Miniaturansichten wieder aktivieren?

Wahrscheinlich muss der Voransichtscache neu aufgebaut werden. Lass das Programm laufen, wenn Du nichts am Computer zu tun hast.
Eventuell vorher den Cache löschen, damit das Programm gezwungen wird, den Cache von Grund auf neu zu generieren und nicht nur zu aktualisieren.

Windows 7 keine Miniaturansichten

Try deleting the thumbnail cache. Start by closing Elements and click the Windows start button >> Computer. Navigate to:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\MyCatalog
Inside the My Catalog folder (or whatever name you gave your catalog) you should find a CACHE file:
thumb.5.cache
Highlight that file and delete it.
After deleting thumb.5.cache restart the elements Organizer and wait. It should regenerate a new set of thumbnails.
N.B. if you can’t immediately find the ProgramData folder it’s probably a hidden system file.
Here's how to display hidden files and folders.
Click the Windows Start Button >> Control Panel >> Folder Options
(Folder Options could be located under Appearance and Personalization or All Control Panel Items; or find it in Windows Explorer, choose Tools >> Folder Options)
In the folder options dialog click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.

No longer able to view NEF files in Bridge or edit in Camera Raw 4.6

I have found similar questions in various Adobe forums, but I have not located a solution to my problem.

Up until 2 weeks ago I have been copying my NEF files from my CF card via reader, opening Bridge, selecting thumbnail of NEF and opening it in Photoshop CS3. At which point I can process with Camera Raw 4.6.
Now, once new NEF files copied and Bridge opened, I only see NEF icons. When I double click the file, Photoshop opens and a box appears with the following text: Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document.
Upon inspecting the differences between NEF files that I can edit and the new NEF files that I cannot, I notice in the metadata file properties that the application of the successful files is ver. 2.00 and the duds is ver. 1.00.
What "application" is the metadata referring to? I think this may be a Nikon setting, but it would help me understand the problem better if I knew what "application" this is.
I can convert the new NEF files into jpgs using Adobe DNG Converter, but this GREATLY complicates a previously straightforward work flow process.

The Application I am talking about can be found when you open up a NEF file in Bridge and look at the Metadata tab on the right. Within that is the File Properties tab and the Application Ver. is the 3rd item from the top (after Filename and Document Type).
Yes, I do have only the one ACR file (Camera Raw.8bi.) in the program file/COMMON FILE/Adobe/plug ins/cs3/file formats.
I have also realized (brilliantly late in the game) that it is only the NEF files shot from my new D300s that do not work. No problem with the NEF files shot with my D100. So this leads me to conclude that my Bridge/Photoshop CS3 does not support the Camera Raw 5 that seems to be required for the D300s. Argh.
By upgrading my camera equipment, I have outmoded my requisite software.
I must say, that the recent post advisory on the forum site ("Raw files appear as icons") was supremely timely. While this does not solve my problem, it did help me understand the compatibility issues with the D300s and CS3. I have learned the following: D300s are supported by Camera Raw 5.5 which does not work with CS3. Is this correct?

Can't preview NEF files in Bridge to see/sort/rate

I've purchased CS6 and cannot view my new nikon d800 NEF files in Bridge. I can see them in Lightroom, but have always used bridge to sort/rate my images before importing them.

Update Camera Raw to 7.4.

Problem with NEF thumbnails in Bridge

Hi there,
Currently my NEF files in Bridge are showing up very small and not increasing in size when I adjust the zoom. I can see the image, it just stays small. I've tried to install the latest Camera Raw Plug-in (5.3), but that does nothing to help.
When looking at the Camera Raw plug-ins in Photoshop, it says that I have 2 installed (5.3 and 5.0.0.178). I'm assuming that I need to remove the 5.0 version - but can't find it anywhere. I've looked in the Applications>Adobe Photoshop CS4>Plug-ins>FileFormats and /Users/amanda/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS4> but it's not in either. (The root directory doesn't even have a plug-in folder). I've also done a spotlight search, but nothing appears.
I'm using CS4 and a Nikon D90 camera.
Can anyone help?

That means that you installed 5.3 incorrectly, because it needs to be installed in the same folder where the old, obsolete 5.0 resided, and you would have had to replace the old one.

Not too good at following instructions, are you? (just kidding.) Both of those folders are incorrect. You need to be looking at the Root Level Library. (See old screen shot below; though it shows ACR 5.1, the path is the same for 5.3.)

Gibt es evtl. eine Möglichkeit, wieder auf das Alte Garageband umzusteigen?
GarageBand 6.0.5 sollte noch installiert sein. Der installer löscht es nicht, sondern verschiebt es nur in einen separaten Order "GarageBand 6.0.5". Es kann mit der Bibliothek arbeiten, die für GarageBand 10.0 installiert wurde. Das einzige Problem ist, das Projekte, die mit GarageBAnd 10 geööfnet wurden, nicht mehr mit GarageBand 6.0.5 geöffnet werden können.
Für GarageBand 10.0 sollten alle Loops, Instrumente, Gitarrenkurse, die schon mal für das alte GarageBand installiert waren, wieder runtergeladen werden können, indem man das Kommando: "GarageBand > Einkäufe wieder herunterladen (oder so ähnlich...)" ausführt.

Setting? Clicking on color NEF files in Bridge change them to sepia/grayscale!

What's wrong? When I download color NEF files into Bridge (CS3 and ACR 4.6) or Lightroom 2, a funny conversion happens without any prompting on my part. In Bridge, if I click on the color thumbnail, the NEF thumbnail turns into a sepia/grayscale, as well as the next NEF image. If I shoot NEF + jpeg, and click on the jpeg, the jpeg keeps the color, but the related NEF does the color change. When I import into Lightroom 2 the color NEF images come into LR as the sepia/grayscale. In the develop module I can recapture color by clicking "Color".

Not sure but it sounds like you ARE applying a preset...what happens if you click on one of the images in Bridge and go up to Edit>Develop Settings>Clear Settings...does that remove the B&W? If so, somehow you've applied a preset. Clearing the settings on all of the files should give you back color images...

Wer keine Miniaturansichten unter Photoshop hat:
Adobe hat und will keine Lösung - anyway.
Ich habe mir verschiedene Systeme auf einem PC aufgesetzt und geforscht. Die Lösung ist eine kleine dll und 2 Registry-Einträge.
Die dll heißt "psicon.dll" und erzeugt die Miniatureinträge. Da aber eine Datei alleine nichts machen kann, müssen noch ein paar Registry-Einträge dazugefügt werden.

Getestet auf AMD und Intel, Windows 2000 SP1/SP2/SP3/SP4 und Windows XP SP1/SP2, mit Photoshop 7/CS/Elements 2. Bei Elements 3 sollte es aber auch noch gehen, da Adobe nicht alles über den Haufen schmeißt - is ganz gut was die machen.
Viel Glück beim Installieren - Eine Anweisung ist auch dabei! Ich habe ein ZIP und ein RAR File gepackt, wie man es möchte.

Die Dateien enthalten möglicherweise ungültige/ abgelaufen Signaturen oder Referenzen auf Zertifikate. Die entsprechende Überprüfung einfach ausschalten (auf eigenes Risiko natürlich).

Falsche Miniaturansichten von Fotos in Ereignisordnern?

In einigen Ereignisordnern werden Miniaturansichten von falschen Fotos gezeigt. Offenbar werden diese aus anderen Ereignisordnern gezogen. Bei Doppelklick öffnet sich dann das richtige Foto. Was kann ich da tun?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose the option to Rebuild the Thumbnails.

Kein boot von Medium möglich - IdeaCentre K Series desktops IdeaCentre K430

Hallo zusammen,
Ich habe folgendes problem:
es ist kein boot von medium möglich - sprich weder USB noch CD/DVD
im BIOS habe ich bereits CD bzw USB als erstes Boot medium zuwählen allerdings ohne erfolg.
in einem anderen forum habe ich gelesen das es ggf auch nur am CD/DVD laufwerk liegen kann was allerdings nicht erklären würde warum der boot von USB nicht funktioniert.
Denoch habe ich jetzt ein neues BluyRayLaufwerk nachgerüstet aber auch mit diesem keinerlei erfolg.
es ist nur möglich von der standart festplatte zu booten - nehme ich diese aus den BIOS einstellungen raus
auch dann nutzt er keinerlei andere boot möglichkeiten von anderen medien.
an was kann das liegen bzw was kann ich tun?

Keep on pressing F1 after you press the power to turn it on to launch the BIOS
Under Exit TAB
OS Optimization
OS Optimized
For the two options above: Should be set as Disabled or Other OS
Hit F10 to save and Exit
Once the Computer Restarted Start hitting F1 again to Reload BIOS
Under Boot Tab / Start up Tab
Boot Mode Should be set to Legacy
Boot Priority Should be set to Legacy First
UEFI Boot should be set to Disabled
Quick Boot should be Disabled
StartUp device Menu prompt should be Disabled
Quick Boot Should be Disabled
USB Boot should be Enabled
Secure boot Should be Disabled
Once everything are Set, make sure to save all changed by hitting F10 and Enter for Yes
After Hitting enter It will Restart and You will have to keep on tapping F12
this should pull up the Boot Menu letting you select where to boot.
If not succesful pulling up the boot menu after the restart, Power Drain the System and turn it on while hitting F12 Again.
Im letzten Satz wird noch ein "Power Drain" beschrieben (falls nötig). Der wäre wie folgt durchzuführen:
- PC ausschalten
- Stromkabel und sämtliche externe Peripherie abziehen
- Einschaltknopf ca. 30 Sekunden gedrückt halten

Plotten von PDF Datein

Morgen zusammen,
hat jemand eine ahnung wie es sich mit der
Größenbeschränkung beim plotten von PDF Dateien
verhält, wenn der Plotter keine PDF Option hat und Ohne Rip
gedruckt wird. bei der Acrobat Reader Version 7 war es so das keine
Pläne die länger als 120 cm waren geplottet werden
konnten, oder 36000 Pixel in der x und y Achse.
Wer weiß da was genaues oder hat eine Side wo es steht.

Probier vielleicht einaml eine andere PDF-Datei aus. Möglicherweise ist
bei dieser Datei das Ausdrucken vom Autor untersagt.
(Oder Du wählst bei geöffneter PDF-Datei im Menü Datei > Eigenschaften
und siehst Dir mal den Reiter "Sicherheit" an)

New Nikon D3100... Can't view NEF files in Bridge?!

Hi guys,
I have just purchased a Nikon D3100, taken some snaps and tried to view them using Adobe Bridge.
Unfortunately I only get the NEF icon and when I try to open in Photoshop the file is not recognised.
I have attempted to follow numerous discussions and help topics to be able to view my photos but none have seemed to have worked and now Im sure I have files/folders in the wrong place or deleted!!! It is incredibly fustrating!!!
I am an amateur running CS4 and would really appreciate if someone could help me view my photos?

I believe your camera was released after Photoshop CS5, which means you will need that version of Photoshop for direct support of your raw files. However, if you download the current version of the DNG converter you can convert your NEF to DNG files. Then you will be able to open the raw image data with your version of Photoshop/ACR.
