KEPM Planning year

Hi To all,
we have to run tcode KEPM to plan the value for 2011 can you please explain to me how does it work and how to perform this action. actually i can display the data for 2010 but i cannot run the tcode for 2011.

If you assign a variable to the char PERIO, you can change its default value each year...
In one of the menus in KEPM when you define planning package, you will have the option to define variable value....

Non standard Year member in Planning Years dimension

We have a non standard (to Planning) member of the Years dimension called 'No Year'. In order to add it initially, I had to go to the back end of Planning (HSP_OBJECT and HSP_UNIQUE_NAMES tables) and modify the members there. This was in version 9. The order of the Years members was then FY95 through FY14, then came No Year, then FY15. This worked for our start and end years within Planning, as our start year was FY09 and our end year was No Year, which allowed us to Plan through FY14 and also entered non-year specific data to No Year on forms. It also allowed us to omit 'No Year' from our scripts using a range of years FY09:FY14 (using substitution variables). Now that the year has rolled over (and, incidentally, we've upgraded to version 11), and our Planning years are FY10 through FY15, I would like to move No Year to be after FY15. However, I don't seem to be able to do that by updating the underlying tables above. I make the changes to the two tables, but it is not reflected in Planning (they display in the same order), and if I try to edit either of the two members in Planning (No Year or FY15), it gives me an error saying the member already exists. Does anyone know how I can accomplish moving the No Year member? I need to do it not only this year, but to have a process my client can follow each year, moving that member in the outline to be directly after the last Planning year.

If you want to go about hacking the tables and changing the order of 'No Year'.
If you run the following SQL against your planning application
select * from hsp_object where object_type = 38
You will see the position column and will have values like 1000000 = First place, 1000010 = Second Place and so on.
To alter the position then you need to note down the position value of 'No Year' and 'FY15'
update hsp_object set position = '1000070'
where object_type = 38 and object_name='No Year'
update hsp_object set position = '1000080'
where object_type = 38 and object_name='FY14'
Restart planning. Now this is all done at your own risk and when you app goes boom don't blame me :)
If 'No Year' was added in the correct way when you add year's it should always stay as the last position.
Planning assigns object ids between set ranges, normal year values (FY..) are 50002 onwards
No Year is out of that range e.g 50412
When No Year is added correctly then planning will add a new to the normal range of values for year (last year value + 1) and then alters the position order

KEPM planning method "customer enhancement"

Dear all,
I want to use the planning method "customer enhancement" in transaction KEPM. The planning level has been defined as well as the corresponding planning package. I also activitated the user exit COPA0006 which is behind this enhancement.
When executing the planning method no data are selected and as a result the user exit is not performed. If I use the same planning package but a different method (e.g. copy) data will be selected and the method is executed.
Does anybody have any experience with the user exit COPA0006?

It worked when I created ran the integration model for a Pur Info record. I guess this works only if we had a source list ( as briefly touched upon in the BADI documentation). If any one has a different take on it, please share with me and I will really appreciate it.

KEPM: Planning in both currency types (B0 and 10)

I am uploading planned sales qty and revenue in KEPM... In the planning version 0, i have defined Op Concern currency (B0) which is USD
All my planned values are getting updated in the CE2XXXX table in USD only, where client wishes to see in both currency types i.e. B0 (USD) and 10 (INR)
Is it possible to update the CE2 table for both currency types in planning... In actual, The CE1XXXX table stores both the values

For Copying the Plan;
1. Use the planning method provided in KEPM, listed as Copy.
2. Use Reference Fields for Periods same which is in the Planning Data. If Planned data (Version 0, presumed) has 12 periods, the reference periods would be 001.2008 to 012.2008.
3. Select (Radio Button) Plan Version wherein 0.
Save your planning method of Copy.
It's up to you whether you use Ad-Hoc method or define a permanent one.

KEPM Planning with valuation

Dear Team,
I have uploaded the sales quantity using option "integrated excel". I want to valuate these line items to get the split of COGM i.e cost components using option "Valuation" in KEPM. The same I am able to do without using the option "integrated excel" i.e. by uploading the sales quantity directly in KEPM.
Is there any possibility to use option "Valuation" with option "Integrated Excel". If yes, kindly share the process steps.

Upload the Sales Qty using KEPM
After that, there is a step called "Valuation" in the planning framework.. If you execute it, the Sales Qty should get valuated with the Std cost estimate
I dont think there is any dependency on the "integrated excel"

Change Planning year in IMA11

Hi,
We are using IM & PS for our projects. While creating appropriation request in IMA11, we use Easy cost planning (Unit costing) for planning the cost.
When we do the costing, by default the planned value comes to year 2009 in IMA11. Please let me know how to change this to 2010.

New planning year for Overall planning (KO12)

How to add new fiscal year (2010 and 2011) for Overall planning in intrnal orders (KO12) ?
In "General version Definition" (OKEQ) in Controlling Area Settings for version 0 new years was added, but they do not appear in Overall planning.

Pls check if the "Lock Indicator" is active for that Version for that year in the Version Maintenance.
If the Version is locked for that year, you will not be able see in Planning in KO12

CO-PA planning for individual months and previous year with same layout

I would like to create a planning layout that uses a SINGLE value to define multiple period/year columns, which is driven by the value of the first period of the plan years.
The planning layout would look something like this:
2012 2012 2012      2012   2012          2011
JAN   FEB   MAR u2026   DEC    TOTAL     TOTAL
I want to create a variable PER01 and use the following as my column definition
PER01               (JAN 2012)
PER01+1               (FEB 2012)
PER01+2               (MAR 2012)
PER01+11                (DEC 2012)
PER01-1 TO PER01-12                           (TOTAL 2011)
What am I doing wrong in the following sequence?
1. Create local variable in transaction KEPM
Edit>Variable>Define variable
Here is my entry:

Planning package can not be edited with planning layout
Planning layout has one or more variables for characteristic u201CPERIO.u201D These variables are given values from the selection criterion for the planning package. The selection criterion (single values and/or nterval) must match the variables.
The system tries to replace the variables in the planning layout with the selection criterion for the planning package. If for example, there is a variable for asingle value in the planning layout that is a planning characteristic, then the selection criterion must contain a single value. If there are two variables from the from and to value of an interval in the planning layout for a characteristic, then an interval must also exist in the selection criterion.
SAP course AC605 states that "Users will be prompted to enter the values for these variables when planning."
To date, I am not getting a popup to allow me to enter in period 001/2012. What am I missing/overlooking?

Help needed on balance sheet plan report for the current year

Hi BW gurus,
I have a problem with reporting.
I need to get Balance-Sheet Plan Reports for the Planned year and for the current year.
To get the report for the planned year its straight forward just by restricting 0balance by the version to 1 and the valuetype 20.
But I have a problem with the current year report.
I have fiscal year and the company code as the variables.
The report should be like this.
If we need the report as of today(July 26 2006),we may input 2006 for the fiscal year variable.
And the 0balance for the twelve fiscal periods should be as follows
From jan 2006 to june 2006(fiscal periods) it should have only the actuals
From july 2006 to dec 2006(fiscal periods) it should have only the plan
I have already built a query by having two restricted keyfigures on 0balance.
One by restricting version and valuetype 0 and 10 , and the other with 1 and 20.
But in the report I am getting two columns of data for each fiscal period for 12 periods.0balance with actuals and 0balance with plan.
But I need to get 0balance with actuals from jan to june(individually for each fiscal period columnwise),and 0balance with plan from july to dec(individually for each fiscal period columnwise).
Hope you people can visualize my report.
Please help me ASAP.

Previous years plan data for single year.

I have 7 plan data for each year. For example for 2017 I have following ..
what is planned for 2017 in 2011.
what is planned for 2017 in 2012
what is planned for 2017 in 2013.
what is planned for 2017 in 2014.
what is planned for 2017 in 2015.
what is planned for 2017 in 2016.
what is planned for 2017 in 2017.
Client wants to store all the previous years plan relating to each year.
I already have various category for plan such as plan1, plan2, revised plan etc.
How to handle the above scenario for 7 years plan data. Appreciate any inputs..

Categories named against planned year can be created. A working category(PLAN) is used in all reports and input templates. whenever PLAN data is finalized PLAN can be copied to respective planned years category . ie in 2012 , when planned data is finalized, PLAN is copied to PLAN2012 .In 2013 , PLAN should be copied to PLAN2013.
That way , planned amounts of 2017 can be retrieved from respective planned year categories .
Planned amount of 2017 in 2012 is cat:PLAN2012,Time:2017.total
Planned amount of 2017 in 2014 is cat:PLAN2014,Time:2017.total

I would like to see the changes made in to KEPM Planning package detials for example I have a Planninng Level-Planning Method-Planning Pckage , I have some values called Quantity ,when ever some one changes the Quantity and saves The Document (in KEPM) it gets saved , so I want to see the changes made document so that I will know who made changes and what changes are made ?
Is there any Transaction ?

1) +/- I didn't understand, I do see a Tab called Line Items in KEPM on the Top When I click it say Long run times and shows Many Documents, and only for 1 Product (I chose from selections)? with many Document numbers for period 1-12, and some with -ve for sales Qty some with +ve (no sign) for sales Qty.
A. There is no tab in KPEM, KE25 is a seperate transaction to view Plan Line Items. You cant identify the changed documents seperately. What SAP does it, if you have planned for Product 1 for 100Qty, later the user changes to 200, it generates another document with additional 100 or if the user chnages the quantity to 10 then it generates another document for -90.
2) How can see for all Lines(All Products) for that Planning Package in KEPM (as above method is useful to see Products and Revenues side by side)
You can use TCode KE25, select the version, period, record type, currency, product view the data.
3) Now I took one Document Number and KE25 saw the plan Items period, doc number, Created By,Revenue,BUT not showing Changed By or Actual Quantity ,previous Quantity Like that ,
It wont have any changed records, it is only creating new document with incremental or decremental values

Urgent - 'Distribute' Function is reffering to wrong planning area

Dear Consultants
I have problem with 'Distribute with Key' function.
I am using Actuals cube and Planning cube in my multiplanning area. I like to distribute planned quantity from material level to sales office level. No selections for planning area, year and verion at planning level or package.
In the Distribute function, I am using Sales Office characteristics as field to be changed and Planning Area,Year, Version characteristics as Fileds for condition. I am restricting the planning area to my planning data and year and version to planning year and version in the function.
While executing this function, it selects data records from the Actuals Cube, ignoring the values set in the function for planning area, year and version.
Please guide.

Hello,
In case you don't want to work with your actuals cube for this function, I think you should select the area (and year, depending if you distribute on the same year or not...)in the planning level.
I think that (please somebody correct me if I'm wrong) the data that is taken into account by your function is what is selected in the level, then, the function runs for its own (sub)-selection.
