Why is this installed: org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA 0.2.61 - last loaded 17229274005? This extension is for OS X hacks, which I'll assume is what you are running. You need to return the system to its normal default if it is truly a Mac and not a hackintosh. If it is a hackintosh, then we cannot help you.
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

gta 4 steam !If GTA IV believes the system is under specification even though the computer is powerful enough to run the game with higher settings, the following will fix this problem.
This will work if your problem looks like this: "resource usage 230/60" and you can't change any other setting
Just follow the steps:
Step 1: Create a text file named ‘commandline.txt’ (without the " ")
Step 2: Put the following statement inside it:
i5 users: -availablevidmem 18.0 (with the -)
i7 users: -availablevidmem 22.0 (with the -)
Step 3: Open the main GTAIV folder (C/ program files (86)/ rockstar games/ GTA IV) and copy the commandline.txt file into it.
Step 4: locate the file "GTAIV.exe" (in GTA main folder)
Right click the file and select Properties
Under the shortcut tab, you will see an area that says Target
Modify the Target adding the command line after the last quotation mark (just add the statement you added in commandline.txt)
(remember, i5 users: -availablevidmem 18.0 / i7 users: -availablevidmem 22.0)
It should look something like this:
Make sure to add space between " and -"
I hope This helps, although late cx -

It's the discrete GPU that causes the problems because it is defective. Using integrated graphics simply means you won't see the same graphics performance as you would normally see when the system would switch to the faster GPU. Don't try any high speed gaming. -

Help please, Any help to overcome this problem will be appreciated. Then do this:
If you have your original installer DVD boot from it. Do you still get a panic? If not, then backup the computer, erase the drive, and reinstall Lion:
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
Note, that if you cannot start from the Recovery HD without experiencing a panic, then you have a hardware failure.
Be aware that the panic report you posted is usually always associated with GPU failure for your specific model. It does not have anything specific to do with upgrading Lion or to Lion. -

FaceTime Problem - MacBook Pro Retina
Hello everyone, as the title suggests, I have a problem with FaceTime.
During a video call (only a video call, during FaceTime Audio I don't have any problems) I hear and see the other person well, but the other person sees me and feels jerky, sometimes subtle, but sometimes that makes it impossible for the other person to understand me. Tried with three different people.
how to solve?
It is not a wifi problem because I've tried with the iPhone and it did not give these problems ...
Thank you!
MacBook pro Retina (13' late 2013) 512 GBHi there,
I have the same computer as you, and I've noticed the same thing. Both facetime and skype have similar audio issues. I can seem to hear the other side fine, but my audio particularly breaks up a lot.
The audio though my phone is perfectly fine when I facetime though the same network using my iphone. I previously had a 15" macbook pro late 2011 and the audio was fine. I realize the microphones are different in this new retina (late 2013) model - though the audio problems seem to occur even with an external microphone as well. -
Hi
I have problem with my macbook pro. Afew days back did this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAs88OhFOMU
It take some time but always switch on but nowday nothing only sometimes for afew sec works then switch off like here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGop0Ns34mc
I tried remove battery, change hardrive, reset SMC still the same problem. Is here something like first help, or where could be problem.
ThanksYou could try a PRAM reset - not sure it will resolve the problem, but it won't hurt to try:

If the problem persists I'd recommend you call Apple and get them to look at it under warranty.
(P.S. no problems with your English - it's excellent ) -
My MacBook Pro is exhibiting power problems. I am running Yosemite and it seems that the problem may have arisen since I dowloaded this upgrade. When the battery is charged it shows 99% charge and I can use it on battery power. As normal with use the charge gradually reduces, say to 30%. I then switch off using either the on/off button/apple logo, waiting for the dialogue box, " do you want to switch off etc". The next day, I switch on, but the computer will only boot up when the power lead is attached. When the computer comes on, usually as normal, the charge always shows 0%. When it is recharged the whole process repeats itself. Help please.
Howdy rcoo26,
It sounds like there’s an issue turning your MacBook Pro on when it isn’t connected to power, and the battery doesn’t seem to be holding a charge. The article below provides information that can help you troubleshoot the battery in your notebook.

External monitor problem macbook pro mid 2012
Hi everyone i have a really big problem.
I add a new SSD OWC extreme 6G and a Data Doubler with the original HDD of my macbook pro, i follow all the instructions, i install the latest OSX and install all my apps, till there everything went well and awesome, really fast and i was really happy, but when i connect my external monitor a Samsung SyncMadster T220M my macbook pro freeze but if i disconnet goes back to normal.
I shutdown and restart, connect again and the same.
If i shoutdown the mac and connect the monitor and then turn on, the OS does not start and stay loading.
SSD is the main Hard Drive and the standard HDD is the secondary for DATA
I follow almost all the advice on http://blog.alutam.com/2012/04/01/optimizing-macos-x-lion-for-ssd/ except the advice only for SSD because i have SSD+HDD
also i download the app Chameleon SSD Optimiser and turn on everything
I really need help!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!
I USE MY MACBOOK PRO FOR PRESENTATIONS!!!I had never heard of "Chameleon SSD Optimiser" but I took a look at it after reading your message... I'm not sure that 'turning everything on' was a wise idea... enabling TRIM is fine, of course. I wouldn't think that 'Chameleon' options would have anything to do with your problem, however.
What sort of adapter are you using with your Samsung monitor? I would imagine that there is either a hardware fault with the adapter, or with either your Mac port or the port on the monitor.

Severe wireless problems; MacBook Pro 13inch Early 2011
I just installed updates on my MacBook Pro 13inch early 2011. I now have severe problems with my wireless. What can I do to undo the updates? One of them was a firmare update.
There is generally no need to undo the Updates, just Re-Do your wireless setup:
System Preferences > Netowrk > WiFi > ( Assist Me ) ...
... Assistant.
Be sure to specify a new Location. -
FireWire Audio Heat Problem (Macbook Pro, Late 2008) VIDEO proof
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYHnX3CGUoo
After a lot of hours of trying to figure out WHY my macbook pro heats up (a lot) when i connect my newly bought Apogee Duet firewire audio interface, i found out that actually what was happening is that there are CPU spikes of extremely short period (so short that Activity Monitor and iStat could not catch) constantly spiking the CPU frequency from 1596Mhz (Idle) to 2572Mhz (Maximum). Apart from the frequency spike there is also a VOLTAGE spike from 1.0v to 1.15.
I know that this is normal due to speedstep technologies and such BUT the rapid spiking and alterations of frequency and voltage ALWAYS happening when i have my Firewire audio plugged is not normal to me. There is nothing else running, everything's idle and i only plug the firewire interface.
Also this is not happening when i restrict OSX from loading AppleFWAudio.kext (either by deleting, moving, renaming it). I connect the firewire audio interface, the leds are illuminating but no heat problem (thats to show you that is not because the interface is self-powered)
Whats going on seems to be similar with the problems occurred after Mac Pro Audio Update to users that was using FW audio devices. They were hearing a sine noise coming from their macpro and propably that was because the same thing was happening. Constant spikes of voltage to the CPU. I dont have a macpro thought so i cant apply the update Apple released for that issue.
Also, my macbook is using Lucent / Agere (LSI) firewire chipset (the particular and known revision 6) but i dont think that this is the cause since Apogee didnt have any problems with the chipset
Info: The app im using to monitor the Frequency and Voltage is CoolBook, can be found here: http://www.coolbook.se/CoolBook.htmlFirewire Audio disconnected / or AppleFWAudio.kext unloaded = Idle temp arround 50 celcius (iStat)
Firewire Audio Connected with AppleFWAudio.kext loaded = Idle temp arround 60 celcius (iStat)
If theres a possibility that this is due to bus powered firewire device (cause i have an external FW hard drive that is self-powered and temps are not rising when i connect it) then AppleFWAudio.kext maybe manages something with bus powered firewire.
Maybe when i have the interface connected but the kext not loaded the mA sucked by the interface are too little for causing a temp rise but by the time the kext is loaded and the interface is converting audio the mA required tops up so the temp rise comes from the mA load on the firewire bus and not the cpu itself.
*Even if that's the case, the rapid spikes of throttling on the cpu by the time the Firewire Audio interface is connected bothers me. This isn't something that should normaly happen on an idling machine.* -
IWork download problem Macbook Pro 13 Retina Late 2013
I have Macbook Pro Retina Late 2013 and can't download iWork for free, appstroe still want pay from me :/
The apps should show up in your "Purchases" history - did you check there? If still having problems, contact the Mac App Store support folks -> http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/.

Heating problem Macbook Pro retina 13 late 2013
I'm having problems with my Macbook Pro retina 13".
I'ts a refurb one.
Can anyone tell me what is normal temperature of CPU on this model, because, it's my first Mac.
When is on my legs, not a flat surface, it gets hot. I'm surfing on the web, and programming in Netbeans, and the temerature of my CPU is about 81 degrees, and it gets pretty how down there, so I wanted to ask someone who has one, is that normal for all MBR or mine is damaged?
Sorry for my English if it's bad, 'cause I'm not from USA...mareyu,
I'm running at exactly 64ºC right now, too fans are at 5189RPM, but I am running Windows via Parallels and just finished a big scanning job on the Windows side, so you're really not too far out of 'normal' range - Chrome does consume more CPU power as well as tasking GPU when watching videos on YouTube. So I would say that you're normal just now.
If you're worried about the heat being generated you should take your machine into an Apple Store or an AASP and have them check it out - there's no charge for a diagnosis.
Also make certain that you don't put the machine actually in your lap or on any pillows, blankets or other cloth surfaces as your MacBook Pro is not a laptop and having it surrounded by cushions and the like can clog the vents.
As I said, if you're worried about the heat, let an Apple tech check your machine - bur from what you're observing, I would say that it's just normal heat (especially when watching YouTube videos using Chrome!).
Good luck,
Clinton
P.S. In the time it took to write this, my temps are down and fans are at 3548rpms. I'm sure that once you stop watching videos, your machine will cool down, too. -
Hey!
I have a really strange problem and need answers fast!
Im running the latest version of Premiere CC (2014) on the latest Macbook Pro retina 15 inch, fully upgraded.
When I export, very randomly I get failed video exports. Its in different spots in the export, but the "Glitch" is exactly the same wherever in the video it turns up.
The upper left corner of the video is unaffected, but the rest of the frame "flickers", it looks like every other frame is black.
This problem is not specific to any type of format, it will just happen randomly somewhere in my export.
This is a major problem, im currently having to do all my exports on my coworkers computers.
I would greatly appreciate your help!
Cheers,
SimonFirst off, please always report the exact version number as shown in the About box. We have way too many cases where people report "I'm on the latest" only to determine later that in fact they're not.
If you are indeed on the very latest version, CC2014.1, and if the problem section has Warp Stabilizer applied, then please check whether Renderer is set to use GPU acceleration and, if so, switch it to Software Only. We've had reports from a few customers of a similar problem in 2014.1 with warp stabilizer and GPU acceleration.
If this fixes your encodes, then please report back with your graphics card model and driver version. Also, let us know whether GPU acceleration was working correctly with warp stabilizer in the prior version.
