Hi MarcoFilipe
Welcome to Apple Discussions!!
can someone help?I did a Google search on "athbmissproc: beacon miss" and it would appear this is a problem with MacBook WiFi. It is also a problem reported in FreeBSD, where there are reported workarounds (in code) for phantom interrupts causing this problem. I don't know there is much you can do about it until Apple releases a fix.
Not having wireless on my machine means I can't investigate further, but I'll see if I can find someone who can.

    Thank you in advance

    You cannot redownload audiobooks.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer..  Copy them from your backup copy of your comptuer.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Uninstall them and then reinstall in a systematic manner and see if the MBP crashes again.  If  and when it does, then that is the troublemaker.

I would keeping running the Disk Repair, off the disk, until it reports no errors at all. Sometimes it will repair a little more each time.
I don't know anything about your Kern-Prot.... error. I know if it's directory corruption related at all, DiskWarrior could fix it.
You already had corruption issues, so it's possible you have more then Disk Utility can handle. If you have a backup, or don't need the data, an Erase and Install would fix you right up. I feel every Mac owner should have DiskWarrior around! I use it once a month.

  • [Solved] Compiling kernel with 'localmodcfg' - 'brcmsmac' missing

    Hi all,
I want to compile my own optimized ck-kernel with localmodcfg="y" which works mostly.
However there is a small problem.
The module 'brcmsmac' for the WLAN card is never included although it is listed in my modprobed.db.
Does someone have any clue what could be the cause?
    Thanks

A minor fix for the patch by Steven Rostedt solved my issue.
I have compiled linux-ck 3.2.1-2 with localmodconfig today and brcmsmac is now included.
Marking the thread as solved, thanks to Steve.

  • HT5395 "Could not sing in to iMessage: the server encounter an error processing registration.  Please try again later. any clue?

    Hi!
    Long story sort:
I did a backup from my Iphone on my computer in iTunes.
Since that, the iMessage on my computer is offline
I try to sign in with my AppleID but I can't
The message is: Could not sign in to Imessage.  The server encounter an error processing registration.  Please try again.
An I try again and again!
    Is someone has any clue?
    Thanks in advance!
    JuliA

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
Sign out of iMessage on all your Apple devices. Log out and log back in. Try again to sign in.
    Step 3
Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 4
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or invalid according to this web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 5
Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 6
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
    Step 7
    Select from the menu bar
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 8
Make sure you know the ID and password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and delete all items with "iMessage" in the name. Log out and log back in.
    Step 9
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 10
Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain models.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 11
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 12
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 13
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

  • ANYBODY GOT ANY CLUES ON THESE PROBLEMS???????

    1) When I try to install iTunes on my Windows 7 Boot Camp I get the following error
after which I click OK but do not have the option to import or burn
    iTunes Setup Assistant
The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning
CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other
CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.
    2) I get this dialogue showing up when I install a program on the Mac OS Boot Camp which
        I do not understand.
The system extension “/System/Library/Extensions/CDSDAudioCaptureSupport.ketxt” wasinstalled improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contactthe product’s vendor for an update.
If anybody has any clues how to assist me on these queries please let me know

  • Youtube video is jerky, any clue what's going on?

I've got an old PowerBook G4. 1.5 ghz processor, 1.5 gig of RAM. It's running the latest version of Tiger, and the latest compatible versions of Safari and Firefox.
I haven't used it in like a year. Brought it out of the closet and fired it up, everything seemed fine until I ran a video. Video is jerky, not smooth, like frames are missing. I'm seeing the behavior in both Safari and Firefox.
I did a test, loaded a DVD, it played just fine, nice and smooth.
Any clue what's going on here?
On a somewhat related note, anyone know where I can find TIger discs at a reasonable price so I can reload the OS? I know I've got them somewhere around here but darn if I can find them.  I'd like to do a complete erase and reinstall and see what happens. I'm trying to get the unit ready for sale.
    I appreciate any advice, thanks.

In that year since you last used it, streaming video and your PowerBook have unfortunately parted company.
Most such web-video is now optimised for Intel processors and since your PB doesn't have one the result is the jerkiness you describe. I'm afraid its called obsolesence. There are apparently workarounds for YouTube videos, but since you are planning on selling the computer its not really going to help you. As to the mislaid Tiger discs - I would keep looking! Apple may be able to help you but i wouldn't bank on it. After that all you can do is try the usual routes -eBay, Craig's List etc. You could also try lowendmac.com though looking at their link to available
discs I don't think you're going to like the prices!

Doesn't look good but I've googled it and found nothing. Anyone know what it's about?
    Thanks :-)

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether your problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click  Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    UDPATE:
Spoke with Express lane, and issue was escalated.  Kudos to the support guys that handled this one (Brian and Yi).  Went through everything in detail and took all the crash dumps off the iphones and ipads to send to engineering.
After backing up the contacts, the recommendation was to delete all contacts in  iCloud.  Doing that caused my iCloud to crash (in the browser), so more crash dumps were sent to apple.
Eventually got all contacts deleted, then did a resync.  Looks like IOS devices are coming back to life and syncing again.
Also, Outlook iCloud connector has just been updated to ver 1.0.1 so i installed that on their recommendation.
    BOTTOM LINE workaround:
    1. Backup contacts
    2. Delete contacts in iCloud
    3. Delete accounts on IOS devices
    4. Recreate accounts on IOS devices.
Hoping a real root cause can be found and real fix implemented.  This has caused me to doubt the stability of iCloud, so i will procees with caution.

  • Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit.  Says Lightromm will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches, but on every re-launch I get the same message.  Any clue as to how to fix this problem?

I recently updated my HP laptop's OS from WIndows8 to WIndows8.1.  When I went attempted to open Lightroom5 I got the following message:
"Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. "
"Lightroom will attempt to fix the problem the next time it launches"
Every time I relaunch I  get the same message.  I'd like to understand what might be causing the problem so I can remedy and get back to my photo editing. Any clue as to how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
