Kernel 700 - DW 277 278 or 279 ? UDHYBLIB failed

Hi
I used LODSAPKRN  to prepare a new 700 unicode kernel library from the SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB level 254 SAR files.
Now after switch and the APYSAP, I am busy applying patches via APYR3FIX, and mostly it is fine.
Some however including DW 278 are giving errors-  the ones that fail with error
  o4af_updhblib : WARNING 1 records not downgraded
  UPDHYBLIB failed
are -   DSPSAPVERS 275   CONFIGJVM  277  CCMAGENT 33  ENSERVER 275  DW 278.
I can keep on applying other patches sucessfully,eg TP  257, R3TRANS 279, R3INLPGM 277 , when I delete the PCH<sid> and PCH<sid>HYB libraries.
There is a new DW released.
Any suggestions?.  Going to go back to the original kernel now.
regards
Michael

Hola Michael;
Puedes intentar realizar lo siguiente con las consultas SQL
SELECT * FROM <Kernel Library>/O4AFFILE WHERE DSTDIR=' '
Debes eliminar las filas mostradas. Por ejemplo utilizas el siguiente comando:
DELETE FROM <Kernel Library>/O4AFFILE WHERE IFSNAME='patches.mf'
Finalmente, debe eliminar la librería híbrida.
PCH<SID>HYB
Intenta aplicar nuevamente el componente y con ello el problema se encontrará resuelto.
Suerte!!!

  • Kernel panics: what does "Core FIR register check failed" mean?

I have an XServe dual G5 2.0 running Server 10.3.9 unlimited client version that began experiencing frequent kernel panics when I let it install the two most recent security updates. Before I installed those updates, the machine had been up without problems for 220 days.
It is not heavily loaded; it runs a Bugzilla via Apache2, shares some files out via SMB and AFS, and runs a jabber server with less than 20 users.
It generates entries in /Library/Logs/panic.log, but I can't make any sense out of them because they only have numeric entries in the stack traces and a bunch of register values.
I've tried a whole bunch of smallish suggestions on fixing problems with this, including repairing permissions on the disks, repairing the boot volume with Disk Utility, resetting all the NVRAM values, and resetting the PMU. Today I installed Xserve Remote Diagnostics and ran the normal, extended, and memory tests.
The memory test completes without errors. The normal and extended both get errors on the FIR. I've attached the log text from XServe Remote Diagnostics.
Is or could this FIR problem be what's causing my xserve to kernel panic? Anyone have an idea what I can do about this?
    Thanks,
    Frank

I see that "Panic(CPU 1): Unresponsive processor" and that makes me "feel" like it may be a hardware error.  It could be ram related.  Maybe not.

  • Kernels 3.10.6 and 3.10.7 fail to boot with EFI stub

Been using rEFInd for some time now. Current installed version is 0.7.1. Kernels 3.10.5 and earlier would boot without incident. Yesterday I upgraded to 3.10.6 and boot failed. As a workaround, I copied the Liquorix kernel and initramfs from my Kubuntu partition; to my mild surprise, this worked. My next test was to install the 3.10.7 Zen kernel from heftig's repository. This kernel boots fine (I added a version number string to the name of the kernel image and the initramfs so that rEFInd would automatically match them). After that, I enabled Arch testing and updated the Arch kernel to 3.10.7; this also fails to boot just like the 3.10.6 kernel did.
I'm a fan of boot text, so I've configured rEFInd in text mode only. Here's my refind.conf, with almost no changes from defaults:
    timeout 20
    textonly 1
    use_graphics_for
    scan_all_linux_kernels
    And my /boot/refind_linux.conf:
    "Boot to X" "ro root=/dev/sda3 nox2apic nmi_watchdog=0 elevator=noop acpi_osi=Linux pcie_aspm=force raid=noautodetect systemd.unit=graphical.target"
    "Boot to single user" "ro root=/dev/sda3 nox2apic nmi_watchdog=0 elevator=noop acpi_osi=Linux pcie_aspm=force raid=noautodetect systemd.unit=multi-user.target"
    # "Boot to recovery" "ro root=/dev/sda3 nox2apic nomodeset systemd.unit=rescue.target"

Steve, your picture is far too large for these forums.  You are going to want to put it in some kind of a picture sharing/hosting site and link back to it.  Otherwise it will end up disappeared (likely via black magic) from your post.  I don't think that it provides any useful information anyway.  If you want to post your kernel command line that is great.  But posting a picture of a frozen screen with no output... doesn't really do much good.
Efistub has been a bit shaky since 3.6 actually.  There is a monster thread about this already, the title of which references 3.6, but the content continues on through several kernel releases.  Still people continually report this as being an issue.  What I do is I keep a normal efi bootloader (one that doesn't rely on efistub) at the ready all the time.  My choice was elilo, but since [testing] started including syslinux-efi in the syslinxu package, I have started using that... though I still have elilo set up.
Can you boot with efistub from the UEFI Shell or gummiboot?  I prefer gummiboot, but I have had this problem in the past, and when I did, I was able to boot with rEFInd... which was strange.  Some people even report that simply having a direct efibootmgr entry in their firmware causes it to magically work.  Though there should be to reasonable explanation for this, it was confirmed by several people in the mentioned thread.

  • Issue after upgrading SOLMAN-Kernel to 700-201

    Hi Gurus,
I have upgraded SOLMAN Kernel from 700-144 to 700-201. I have done step by step upgrade i.e.,
    700-147 to 700-175 - No issues
    700-175 to 700-201 - Server started partially.
In the Console, the server is partially started after upgrading from 175 to 201(Yellow and Green).
"Dispatcher Running but not connected to Message Server, J2EE: All processes  running"
I am able to login to all clients as well as J2EE.
are there any patch or any OSS notes to implement after upgrading to Kernel 700-201?
    SOLMAN:
    SP-17
    WIN-32
    Thanks in advance...
    Regards
    Shreeshail Ganiger

    Dear Shreeshail,
Try to upgrade your kernel to 221, there are quite issues with 201for some installations.
Check if your satstartsrv.exe has been updated with new version too. this you can check with file version by right clicking.
    Regards

  • Reverting Kernel from 720 to 700

    Hi All,
I have upgraded my kernel from 700 to 720. Can I revert back to kernel 700????
I have back up of old kernel. Please suggest me note if there any.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Saket S. Ghanekar

    Hi Saket,
The procedure for downgrading kernel is same as upgrading the kernel.
Kindly stop the system, execute cleanipc as sidadm, then take a backup of kernel 720 and empty your exe directory. Execute slibclean as root. Then from the backup of 700 kernel copy the executables to the exe directory.
Execute saproot.sh from root and then start the system.
    Regards,
    Meenu Hans

  • [SOLVED] - Freezes since kernel 3.11.4-1 - apparently due to kswapd0

I appreciate that the issue may be entirely unrelated to the upgrade, but since installing (i686) kernel 3.11.4-1 I have experienced several lock-ups with one of my cores at 100%.  This has happened a few times in Chromium when opening a second or third tab, and once just now when restarting xine. On each occasion kswapd0 has been the apparent culprit.  Memory utilisation has been at or about 50% with little or nothing already in swap. On one occasion the issue resolved itself. On another it resolved as I ssh'd into the box. On other occasions I could not even ssh in.  There is nothing in my logs. Any suggestions please?

I said I would post again if not running chromium did not solve my problem.  As I will explain below, it did not solve it, but I have been hoping that more testing would enable me to make a more useful report. xthechar's post prompts me, however, to bring my own experience up to date.
Instead of chromium I ran my usual firefox, but with a separate window with tabs for Facebook / Yahoo mail / Twitter / Google Translate.  I used chromium for those in the past.  Eventually the system froze, and then the OOM killer cut in 6 times in 10 minutes killing what seem to be harmless applications using little memory, before I rebooted. I will put the log below in case anyone can help me to understand what was going on.
I have raised a bug at chromium in case anyone there can help (issue 312065) - no response yet
I know that the 3.11 kernel introduced changes to kswapd, but I cannot find any reports of recent problems on LKML and if this was a significant bug, there would obviously be dozens of reports there and elsewhere.
chromium is a memory hog, and memory usage under firefox rises over time (this box runs - very lightly loaded - 24/7), but the machine is always well within physical memory (typically no more than 55% used and the swap partition empty even when firefox or chromium are consuming 30%). Surely the kernel should be able to deal seamlessly with any problem that arises.

  • SAP ECC6 EHP7 Kernel 7.41.. SM04

    Dear All,
Recently we have upgraded our ECC system to EHP7 and kernel 7.41. I was just surprised to see SM04 and could not figure out how to see memory consumption by a users in each of its sessions.
Earlier we used to select user in SM04 and the goto --> memory system wide then it displayed the same.
Can anybody suggest how to achieve in this new kernel ? Or is there any other tcode for the same.
    Thanks
    SS

    Hi Gaurav,
    Thanks for reply.
My requirement is I need to monitor memory consumption by a user in all his sessions.
Earlier in kernel 700 in SM04 i used to select the user and Goto--> Memory and it displays the memory consumption by users in each of its session individually.
Now in upgraded system I can only see Total memory consumption by a user in all of its sessions, I cannot figure it out how to see individual memory usage for every session.
I hope I elaborated, let me know if you need more on this.
    Regards

  • Kernel Label problem for SOL MAN 4.0

    Hi
When was installing a Unicode SolMan 4.0 on Win 2003 SQL server 2005.
I have downloaded a following CD for Kernel -
    51031778_11 NW 2004s SR1 UC-Kernel 7.00 Windows Server on IA32 32bit
When I give the LABEL.ASC for kernel, it does not accept it and give me following error -
    You entered: E:/nw04s/kernel/DVD_NW_2004s_SR1_Kernel_Windows__LNX_X86/LABEL.ASC
Found the label SAP:AKK:700:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 700:D51031778 but need label
    SAP:AKK:700:KERNEL:.WINDOWS_I386:
I tried all these option from the below link, but it did not work
    Kernel Label problem...
Does any one have solution for that?
    I appreciate your help
    regards
    kamal

    Hi udo lang,
I have downloaded the Kernel file 51031778_3 NW 2004s SR1 Kernel 7.00 Windows Server on IA32 32bit today. I will try to fix the problem by using this kernel.
I also got reply from Sap that solution for this issue is:
This is most unusual. Due to the currently running RampUp the
    DVD's could have been updated.
I suggest that you try the following,
Download both the Unicode and NonUnicode Kernel files from the
    SAP Service Market Place.
The Kernel DVD 51031778 contains the Kernel for Unicode and for Non-
Unicode, as you wrote, in directory "", label:
    "SAP:AKK:700:KERNEL::WINDOWS_X86_64:"
Please check if you start Unicode Installation. Due to an incorrect
    procedure sapinst requireds both Kernel-CD.
With the next release will be it correct. If you start a Unicode
installation it will be a unicode.
    51031792_5 NW 2004s SR1 UC-Kernel 7.00 AIX 64bit
    51031792_1 NW 2004s SR1 Kernel 7.00 AIX 64bit
Etract them to one directory, like:
    <downloadDIR>/
    kernel/
    KN_WINDOWS_I386/
    KU_WINDOWS_I386/
    CDLABEL.ASC
    LABEL.ASC
    LABELIDX.ASC
When you ware asked for the kernel DVD, please enter
    <downloadDIR>/kernel
SAPinst should take the right kernel version for the installation
    automatically.
You may additionally refer to the below note for reference.
921593 Inst. SAP NetWeaver 2004s SR1 on UNIX
If the problem is resolved i will let you know. Thanks for your assistance
    regards

  • Urgent: Installing SolMan 4.0 Non-Unicode - Kernel DVD trouble

    Hi all,
I have a problem here with the Kernel DVD's.. I am installing SolMan 4.0 non-unicode on Solaris 10/Oracle 10. When I am asked to provide a path to "Kernel NW04sSR1" media, I provide the path to media number 51032262 (SAP NW2004S SR2) which is the closest I get.. On this DVD, there is a folder called KN_SOLARIS_SPARC with contains a LABEL.ASC like this:
    <b>"SAP:AKK:700:UKERNEL:SAP Unicode Kernel 700:SOLARIS_SPARC:CD51030xxx"</b>
The label that is requested by SAPinst is "SAP:AKK:700:UKERNEL::SOLARIS_SPARC:"
Is this not the correct DVD that I am providing?
    Please help!
    Best Regards,
    Thomas Kjelsrud

    Hi,
I have the 51032263 DVD, which contains both the unicode and non-unicode kernel.
We have decided to go with a unicode installation of SolMan 4.0, but still I am having the problem with SAPInst requesting the Kernel NW04sSR1 DVD.. In my DVD-kit I only have NW04sSR2 kernel DVD.
When I try to specify the exact CD (KU_SOLARIS_SPARC) within the DVD I get this message: "You entered /tmp/d510302263/KU_SOLARIS_SPARC Unable to find a LABEL:ASC at location >< (Look for label SAP:AKK:700:UKERNEL::SOLARIS:SPACR:"
Please help, who can I contact as SAP with this issue?
    Regards,
    Thomas

  • Java Kernel

    Hello,
We have just performed Kernel upgrade on Netweaver 7.0 ABAP+Java system.
We just replaced the /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run folder with teh new kernel.
It was successful and in ABAP we can see the new kernel.
But in Java, in System Information, it does not reflect teh same patch level.
In ABAP it shows Kernel 700 Patch 179
In Java it says a different patch level 109884.0
Can you tell me why in Java it does not reflect teh same kernel patch level?
    Thanks.

    patch level 109884.0
This isn't a kernel version, this is the version of your j2ee engine. In a dual stack installation the abap and j2ee share the same kernel (also remember there is an additional SCS instance) .
For the J2EE you can for example use JSPM to verify the kernel version. After you started JSPM, switch to tab "Deployed Componenets", there you see com.sap/SAP KERNEL

Do i need to update other .sar files from sapnet ?
Did somebody have the same error ?
    Thanks in advance .
    Best Regards.

We had this same issue today and folks that are not familiar with sapcpe can really be at a loss on this error, so I'm updating some of these older threads for clarification.
When sapcpe is active, you actually have two copies of the SAP kernel on your Unix file system:
/sapmnt/SID/exe - Which is probably where you update your kernel (this version was at 201)
      (aka:  /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run)
/usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS##/exe - A location many don't know about  (this version was at 133)
Typically, sapcpe keeps these two locations identical and there are no mismatch errors but if anything happens to your configuration, the next time you update your kernel in /sapmnt/SID/exe, the replication does not occur and the mismatch happens as seen in (dev_disp or dev_disp.new):
    ***LOG Q00=> DpSapEnvInit, DPStart (18 22336) [dpxxdisp.c   1283]
    DwSLCheckVersion: shared library version mismatch:
            shared lib "dw_xml.sl" version 133 <-> kernel version 201
            shared lib "dw_xtc.sl" version 133 <-> kernel version 201
            shared lib "dw_stl.sl" version 133 <-> kernel version 201
            shared lib "dw_gui.sl" version 133 <-> kernel version 201
            shared lib "dw_mdm.sl" version 133 <-> kernel version 201
This is made even more confusing because if you do an "ldd /sapmnt/SID/exe/disp+work" the results will tell you that it's reading those files from where you just patched your kernel.  That ldd is incorrect, however.  If the two copies of the kernel are not in sync, some files will indeed be loaded from /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS##/exe which will not match the other files that are loading from /sapmnt/SID/exe and you'll have the mismatch error.
Short Term:  You can delete the contents in /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS##/exe and then everything is loaded from /sapmnt/SID/exe.
Long Term:  Correct the configuration of sapcpe so that it keeps everything in sync and you don't have dualing kernels.  (See note 1104735)

  • Kernel Label problem...

    Hi,
I am installing a Unicode SolMan 4.0 on 2003 server.
I have downloaded a following CD for Kernel -
    <b>51031778_11 NW 2004s SR1 UC-Kernel 7.00 Windows Server on IA32 32bit</b>
When I give the LABEL.ASC for kernel, it does not accept it and give me following error -
    You entered: <b>E:/nw04s/kernel/DVD_NW_2004s_SR1_Kernel_Windows__LNX_X86/LABEL.ASC
Found the label SAP:AKK:700:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 700:D51031778 but need label
    SAP:AKK:700:KERNEL:.WINDOWS_I386:</b>
Do I need to merge both Unicode and Non-Unicode into one. Why I see Windows_LNX_X86 in the in the kernel CD?
Please let me know if anybody has any idea about.
    I will appreciate your help.

    Hi Sume Chau
I also encountered same problem when I was installing a Unicode SolMan 4.0 on Win 2003  SQL server 2005.
I have downloaded a following CD for Kernel -
    51031778_11 NW 2004s SR1 UC-Kernel 7.00 Windows Server on IA32 32bit
When I give the LABEL.ASC for kernel, it does not accept it and give me following error -
    You entered: E:/nw04s/kernel/DVD_NW_2004s_SR1_Kernel_Windows__LNX_X86/LABEL.ASC
Found the label SAP:AKK:700:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 700:D51031778 but need label
    SAP:AKK:700:KERNEL:.WINDOWS_I386:
Can U have any solution for that?
I am trying with other kernel which doesn't show unicode as (51031778_3)
    I appreciate your help

What can we do to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance!
