Kernel At 600% when plugged Into the power cord.
Everytime my computer is at 0-9% and I plug it in to charge, my computer lags and today I contacted apple support and they told me to check my cpu usage, to my surprise the kernel was at 600% and when I unplugged my computer it went down to 2%. Why is this happening? I have ressted the SMC and PRAM, and it's still the safe. I went into safe mode but it didn't help. What can I do to fix this. I'd also like to add that somethimes my fans get really loud but the SMC reset didn't fix it.
As of right now my temperature is 144 degrees and my fans are loud. (Is this normal?)
Make a Genius appointment they will diagnose it for FREE. If you have Apple Care any charges would be covered.

Your subject indicates you have Snow Leopard but your info bar indicates a 2013 Mac. You posted in the Mavericks forum. Please clarify.

My sister gave me her 1st gen iPad to see if I could solve an issue. It won't turn on, and when it's plugged into a power cord there is a slow pulsing sort of flash that happens on the screen....any ideas?
Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe! Now see if it charges normally and after a period try to turn it on again. If the batter has been drained it could take 20 minutes or so for it to show that it is charging.
Also considering if the battery need replacing! -
I can't turn on my MacBook Air despite trying to hold down the power button and using the SMC method. BTW my battery charger lights up to a green when plugged into the laptop.
Hello cass528,
I would be concerned too if my MacBook Air would not power on. I recommend following the steps in this article when experiencing an issue like this:

Will dead battery stop netbook g62 from booting up even when plugged into the mains
Had the battery warning (last week)
did not replace now will not boot up even when plugged into the mains. Is this likely to stop booting or just a case of more than one thing wrong at the same time. New battery expensive to buy if it is likely to be something else wrong.A battery can be so dead it will keep the laptop from powering on fully when the dead cells suck up too much of the power. Will it turn on with "mains" connected but battery removed?

my iPhone4 will not turn on or show that is working at all, i have tried to charge it so that the screen will light up but it won't work, when plugged into the computer iTunes does not show any sign it is plugged in, what do i do?
There is a hardware problem. Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.

I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

I have a Power Mac G4 double mirrored model and everytime I shut it off it will not go on when I hit the power on/off button again. However, if I unplug and plug in the power cord it boots fine and everything is OK. The PMU and logic board have been reset. Sometimes my Mac goes on just by pressing the power on button but most times I have to pull the power cord and put it back in. Any ideas or help out there for this? Could it be a failing power supply? Apple Care says that this model is obsolete so there is no help from there. John
<E-mail Edited by Host>Hi John,
That's often a sign of a bsad Capacitor in the Power Supply, but...
Might be time to replace the PRAM Battery, 4 years is close to their lifespan, far less if ever without AC power, & can cause strange startup problems...

Warning to iPhone users. Do not start the update of the iPhone software using iTunes.
Nonsense, and very misleading advice. I've updated iPhone 3G, 3Gs,and 4 through itunes many times, never had a problem once, not with one single update in nearly 5 years of iPhones. Of course, I've never jailbroken my phones either. Hack your phone and have update problems? I've got news for you, the problems are not a result of iTunes or Apple's updates. -

Dude you have a jailbroken phone as stated in your first post, no need to do a second post.
As per the forum term of service you can't get help here. Use google.
that's the downfall of jailbreaking your phone. -
I was an apple beta tester for iOS7 and now my iPhone 5 shut down, it's unresponsive it gets recognized by iTunes when plugged into the computer but that's it. Since I was a beta tester is there any way to fix my iPhone??
Are you still running iOS 7 bet?. If so go to the private developer section for help. We cannot help you here with beta software.

please help! my iphone randomly went unresponsive, when plugged into itunes it flashes apple logo and itunes doesnt recognise it and when plugged into the mains its in recovery mode, asks to be connected to itunes, but immediately turns off when unplugged from mains
You could try to do a hard reset, sometimes resetting the phone helps. Hold down the sleep/wake button on the top and the home button until you see the apple logo, this make take a minute or two but this might help.

My iPad 4 wifi 3G keeps charging slowly takes half a hour to get to 15% when plug into the wall with the plug and the lead what come with the iPad just wondering as I think some thing is wrong with the iPad
Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight. Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger. Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know. If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.
Also, according to Apple:
Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge. -
If I always have my MB Pro plugged into the power adapter. . . .
If I always have my MB Pro plugged into the power adapter, will my battery still wear out as it would if I were depleting and recharging it daily?
I tend to find a power outlet anywhere that I go in order to run my MB Pro on the adapter rather than using battery power. It's a habit that formed while using my 6 year old Powerbook G4 with about 5 minutes of battery life per full charge.
I understand that it shouldn't wear out to the same extent as running the battery down constantly, but is there still a significant effect?
Does the adapter bypass a full battery and power the computer directly?
I feel like an idiot asking this question, but I am really curious.
Thanks in advance for your responses.Various yes and no takes on it:

my ipod nano4th gen will not download the purchased songs in itunes v11. Just upgraded to mac 10.6.8-won't synch new songs since this upgrade. The ipod is seen in the itunes as the devise, and the nano screens says synching when plugged into the macmini usb port, but the itunes window does not say it is synching like it has before so whats the culprit? Techno virgin in distress!
PS - I added an iphone5 which is whay these upgrades happened so this synching to the ipod error is since the iphone began synching.I just learn in some post that the most common lapses in syncing is not checking if "sync music" in music section of the ipod is ticked. So double check if it is. Cheers!

I just bought new computer and redownloaded itunes. Will it erase everything on my iphone when plug into the new computer?
Yes, it will.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
