Kernel freeze after user mount

Question

Hi,
I'm having some kind of problem trying mounting CD, DVD etc (blank media or already recorded)
I put the disk into the device, try to mount (typing the command in a konsole, user id, not root) and everything freezes. Nothing answer, even ssh (to try to shut it down from other computer).
It doesn't happened all the time, but I'm don't have learn the pattern yet.
I have kernel kernel26 2.6.19.2-1, dbus 1.0.2-3, util-linux 2.12-10, ... updated according to pacman -Syu
I've searched logs in /var/log and nothing (nothing in errors.log, kernel.log, acpi, syslog.log ...
Does anyone have a similar problem?

just in case anyone else stumbles upon this post, here is what I did. No idea weather it is the correct way, but it works for me:
maximilian@kaul_mba ~ $ ls -lah /usr/local/bin/startup.sh
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 323 Apr 8 21:32 /usr/local/bin/startup.sh
maximilian@kaul_mba ~ $ cat /usr/local/bin/startup.sh
#!/bin/bash
# mount dropbox
/usr/bin/mount -t ecryptfs /home/dropbox/Dropbox/Encrypted /home/maximilian/SYNC
# /home/maximilian/.cache to ram
/usr/bin/mount -t tmpfs -o size=25%,uid=maximilian,gid=maximilian,mode=1755 tmpfs /home/maximilian/.cache/
# kill dropbox => icon fix
/usr/bin/sleep 10 && /usr/bin/pkill dropbox
maximilian@kaul_mba ~ $ sudo cat /etc/sudoers | grep startup
# allow startup.sh without passwd
maximilian ALL = (root) NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin/startup.sh
and I placed the line
sudo /usr/local/bin/startup.sh &
into my .xinitrc.
I'm still interested in other solutions for this problem.
