Kernel panic browsing internet with Firefox after last update (2.0.0.7)
Three or four days ago I accepted to update my Firefox browser to version 2.0.0.7
I also downloaded the Widget Wizz RSS 2.1.9 Since then I had repeated kernel panics while browsing different websites.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
F. Donega - London
I am also having this problem and would like to know as well

Hello,
script was always working correctly on every web browser. Unfortunately after (probably) last update Firefox stopped handling with it.
Script is the part of forum based on popular MyBB (http://www.mybb.com/). I put a screenshoot below, which should easily show how did the script work.
http://screenshooter.net/data/uploads/ug/tg/dyre.jpg
After clicking on any icon (e.g. bold "B") it shows "[undefined=undefined]" and then clicking shows no effects.
Errors from "WWW console" after icon clicking:
TypeError: mnu is undefined - line 641
TypeError: tag is undefined - line 1163
Here I posted problematic script:

[Enlightenment E17] Problems with EFM after last Update [solved]
Hello Folks!
I'm having some very ugly problems with my Enlightenment E17 Desktop after the last full system upgrade. This problem has already been reported to the German Arch Linux community, but no response yet, but I can't figure out that nobody else troubles the same probs.
This is the following what I get when running pacman -Ss e17-svn
community/e-svn 42849-1 (e17-svn)
Enlightenment window manager DR17 (aka e17)
community/e_dbus-svn 42682-1 (e17-libs-svn e17-svn)
dbus abstraction layer for e17
community/ecore-svn 42854-1 (e17-libs-svn e17-svn)

A graphical design and layout library based on Evas
community/eet-svn 42851-1 (e17-libs-svn e17-svn)
A data storage and compression library
community/efreet-svn 42759-1 (e17-libs-svn e17-svn)

community/eina-svn 42822-1 (e17-libs-svn e17-svn)

community/evas-svn 42855-1 (e17-libs-svn e17-svn)
A hardware-accelerated canvas API for X-Windows
The problems that occur to me are following: I'm using EFM as file manager. It's not the best one, but it fits into the E17 concept - simple, lightweight, fast - and thats what I like. But, after the latest update, when I click a folder on my desktop, EFM now comes up in a stupid very tiny window. The window is so small, that I need to resize it every time to see any content. Before the update, everything worked fine, the EFM windows came up as they should.
Another problem I'm having with some applications, e.g. the Okular-Viewer, is that I'm not able to size down the window - it is always in full screen, and there's no chance to move it up (even not on the desktop preview widget) to move it down. Okular is always 100% filling my screen (over the height, only), and I'm not able to size it down. In the previous version, I didn't got this problems.
My question is now: is there any way to install the previous Enlightenment E17 packages? They where much better that this one... or will another update come out soon??
Thanks in advance for any help, any help is appreciated!

If that doesn't help...

If you find some mirror which keeps outdated packages that should not be a problem. Be sure to downgrade all of e17 packages (also some packages were deprecated and thus removed from the server during the last upgrade so you'd need to have those as well. You may still have those on your system though)
About a quick update, depends if Ican replicate it and if there is an easy fix. These things happen now and then with pre-alpha software when they do make major code changes. I try to test every update locally before putting it live but I of course can't test every single feature.

Screen "jumping" or flickering whilein firefox after last update
Firefox told me that it was updating. Showing 33.1. Now when I am on a page the top of the screen where the menu and tabs are keeps "jumping" or flickering, also goes over top of page. I have adobe flash completely disabled because it crashed so often, even after reloading and making sure it was updated. Only allow it when absolutely needed on a page.
Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0
Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Flash is notorious for not cleaning out the older version as part of an update.
Grab the uninstaller from here:
'''[http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Uninstall Flash Player | Windows]'''
'''[http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html Uninstall Flash Player | Mac]'''
Then reinstall the latest version.

After last updating for OS 10.7.2 problems with digital certificate
Hi everybody,
Im having problems with lion after last updating yesterday... The digital certificates dont more work!!! In time: the same certificates still work in to snow leopard...
I exported from snow leopard and imported on lion, but nothing.
Until the keychain GUI aborted after that import... Just surfing on HTTPS page with that certificate and safari aborted too.
Some ideia? i id send reports to Apple... but I dont have hope to answer.
To test with version 10.7.2, please access https://www.caixa.gov.br
Thanks
Roberto MalheiroAssuming that the HP software is up-to-date, but still not working, have you tried Image Capture in the Applications folder. Does that work?

Dear Mozilla,
I am having some difficulty accessing the internet with Firefox on one of my PC computers. I normally use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser and google is my homepage and gmail is my email system. The operating system is Windows 7. For over a year this system worked perfectly but a few days ago it stopped working. When I launch Firefox now I get the message that that website (www.google.com) is unavailable. In fact, I can’t access any website and I am blocked from the internet entirely within Firefox. My internet connection is fine because Internet Explorer works fine. I can access google and any other website within that web browser. I have investigated all the security issue I can manage and found no smoking gun. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox to no avail. Is Windows 7 compromising the effectiveness of Firefox? Any suggestions or other assistance you can offer would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Randy Brown

As an additional note I went 156 days without a panic prior to the most recent panics.
You shouldn't have them at all. I don't see anything in the 2 panic reports implicating Safari?
Disconnect all peripherals, only Apple keyboard and mouse and test. Often connected peripherals cause kernel panics. See isolating issues in Mac OS X. for troubleshooting steps.
EDIT: Run your Repair Disk from your install disk.

I cannot connect to the Internet on my desktop with firefox since last night at about 8 pm. Everything was fine until then. I know I am "connected" because I get updates on the weather and my family tree works. I just cannot get email or surf the web. Please help.
Microsoft Word is a Microsoft app. You should post your question to a Microsoft forum.

10.7.1 and 10.7.2 - Kernel Panic on Boot with Filevault
My filevaulted systems are having kernel panic on boot with both 10.7.1 and 10.7.2 updates. I have to connect the time capsule to get it to boot and fix disk permissions before I can pull the firewire out and reboot by itself.
Anyone else?Hi, Brian. I had only keyboard and mouse plugged into USB. I variously had a pair of LaCie 1TB drives in the FW800 in daisychain.
It is now working again after running the single-user mode scripts from Leopard Cache Cleaner.
It may arise again, but the initial cause remains mysterious, the intermediate cause perhaps being a polluted boot cache. I'm hoping I'm good from here. (fingers crossed) -
Re: I recently re-installed Lion due to a kernel panic prob. A day after reinstallation, twice in a row it happened, but it stopped.
I want to know if this happened just because it was recently installed, or is the kernel panic still bugging my computer? The kernel panics were 3rd party extensions. If the extension is still connected to me, how do I remove it? Again, It only happened twice since reinstallation. The panic did not have a thing to do with reinstalling Lion or not. There is some other cause. Post your recent panic log.

Help!!! Brand new MBP with Santa Rosa Kernel Panics when started with external HD firewire 800 after 20 sec...
I don't know what it could be???
Do you???
Thanx
JayI'm actually having a similar issue and I don't think its related to networking at all.
I'm currently working in a corporate environment where we deploy pre-built OS X images to machines. I recently upgraded my images to 10.4.10 before we got our first Santa Rosa machine. This image was built on a MacPro and worked on all Intel Macs down to a MacMini CoreSolo. When I deployed my prebuilt image to the SR MBP, it caused a kernel panic immediately.
Further investigation revealed previous builds of OS X, including 10.4.10 upgraded from any other model Intel Mac will kernel panic the SR MBP. Going backwards the SR Build of OSX will not work on any previous model Mac, as any other build typically does, but causes severe graphical distortion, as if it does not have the display drivers for the other Macs.
To make a long story short, I think your issue comes from the fact that your external hard drive has an older build of OS X 10.4 than the SR MBP will run (even though you may have upgraded it to 10.4.10). Anyone who can corroborate my story with some more testing, please chime in.
I haven't found a solution for this issue yet other than keeping a seperate Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo image for my deployments. -
How do i browse privately with firefox mobile
i would like to browse internet using firefox in private mode without history saving and etc. just like the desktop version.
There is not a setting for entering and leaving private browsing in Firefox mobile. You can manually clear all private data by pressing the 'Clear private data' button in the Preferences window.
You can always be in private browsing by typing about:config in the address bar an finding browser.privatebrowsing.autostart and setting it to true. This will prevent Firefox from remembering usernames, passwords, cookies, history, downloads, form data, etc. -
when i start up internet with firefox also another sites opens automatically. This is a site which i did not choose. How do i stop this?
Go to settings on your iPad select store and look to the bottom of the screen - ensure it is your apple id shown as being logged on - if it not yours click on the apple id choose log out and then enter your details and password.
If someone has entered their apple id on your ipad and automatic downloads are enabled you can be receiving apps they have purchased.

I am lost: I did install iOS7 a couple of days ago, and right now, while browsing internet with Safari, the screen turned black suddenly, and I can't reactivate it anyway (buttons death, screen death)
Thank you very much!
During the minutes needed looking for help, I decided to put the magnetic cover on the screen again, and I connected the iPad to the charger. Whe I did uncover the iPad now for a try with your tip (hold sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds), it came to life again.
Thank you.
Best regards,

I'm unable to use Fiverr.com with Firefox. Last year I was able to order Fiverr gigs and send messages but for the last 3 weeks I've been unable to do either. I can login to Fiverr but I'm unable to use the service.
I'm using Windows 7.Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
