Kernel panic log: can someone decipher this for me, if possible?
My brother has an iMac G4 with 512 MB of RAM. This computer used to be fine and then a few months ago, it started having random kernel panics. He wiped the drive and reinstalled the OS and it was fine for about 3 months.
Now it's kernel panicking randomly about 2 times a day, when checking email or burning a CD or just browsing the web. I can cause it to panic every time I try to repair the permission. On a hunch, I removed the user Library folder, logged out and back in again. The OS created a new user Library folder. I then tried repairing permissions. No panic. Through a process of elimination, I narrowed the culprit down to several preference files, including a couple of login-related plists. Individually none of these plists caused the panice, but together they did.
So I deleted those plists and used fresh ones. I tried repairing permissions. First time, no panic. Second time, no panic. Third time, panic.
I can't figure out what's messing his system up. He has an external hard drive, a printer, usb camera, and an iPod attached. Disconnecting those doesn't stop the kernel panics. I also ran Apple's Hardware Test several times and it found nothing.
Here is the panic log. I would really appreciate someone's input and suggestions.

Why reward points?(Quoted from Discussions Terms of Use.)
The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.

Can someone decipher this for me?
I'm new to using Flash and I've noticed some sites passing XML files through containing code like:
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false"/>
</cross-domain-policy>
If I examine the contents of my cache, the source looks like
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false"/>
</cross-domain-policy>
Am I correct in interpreting
allow-access-from domain="*"
as permitting any domain to have access to the LSO's belonging to the site passing this XML code through? (Conjecture on the basis of * commonly
used as a wildcard...)
And what is the implication of
secure="false"

My iMac is restarting "because of a problem". Can someone decipher this for me?
It's happened a few times. Sometimes I'll wake up and it's rebooted in the night. Here's the report:

Crackling loudspeaker? Can someone test this for me?
I've noticed something that might be abnormal about the speakers on my iPhone 4S.
Could someone test this for me please? Go to ringtones, and play the 'bell tower' ringtone making sure your ringer volume is all the way up. Listen closly to the speaker, can you notice a slight crackling sound at parts?
ThanksSo when you play the bell tower tone at full volume it sounds perfectly cripst and doesn't 'crackle' or distort a little bit because mine does.
Also when I've asked siri a question, the tone after that when it plays sounds like it distorts a bit to.
Cheers -

Kernel panic log - can anyone help me decipher?
I posted this in the Leopard discussion group, but didn't get much response. Can anyone here help me figure out what is causing kernel panics on my iMac G5? Here is the log for the latest one (they all seem to be the same):

I just replaced my hard drive and installed Leopard. The hard drive seems to be functioning perfectly, so I'm suspecting it's related to Leopard. I never had a kernel panic until the upgrade. I'm considering going back to Tiger. Thoughts?
Thanks for any help with this.I upgraded 3 days ago to leopard and have had 5 or six kernel panics. I had the machine running panther for years and never had one before. All similar to what has been described in this thread. I have not been able to get through a time machine back-up all the way yet. I am afraid to leave the machine with time machine active now because the panic mode I get into usually puts the fan on full blast- Can't be good to run for hours like that. I am backing up a lot of files so I wonder if the size of the initial backup is causing the problem. I have gotten through about 150 GB worth with time machine before the crashes set in. If I make any progress I'll post.

Panic Log: can anyone decipher?
I've had 4 kernel panics so far on my 4 day old MBP, each time occurring while watching video of some sort (DVD and iTunes). I'm attributing it to heat, and I'll be taking it back to the Apple Store this weekend. One of the point of interest might be the fact that I've been using the iSkin over the keyboard since day one. According to their website, heat shouldn't be a problem, but they did not specifically mention testing on the MBP. At any rate, I've got this panic log, and I was wondering if any one could decipher it and lend some more insight into what's going on. Here it is:

Darwin Kernel Version 8.9.4: Thu May 17 18:04:27 PDT 2007; root:xnu-792.20.12~1/RELEASE_I386In my crash reporter logs are two logs. One for "mdimportserver", and the other for "Frontrow". The funny thing is that for the time recorded for both of these crashes, I don't recall having a crash. So I don't know how useful it is. The crash event that happened this evening is recorded in the first log below at "Wed Jun 13 19:09:38 2007 crashdump[143]: crashdump invoked as panicdump"
At any rate, I don't want to waste anyone's time. I'm going to take this back to Apple in a couple of days. I'm sure they can figure it out. I was just curious about what this was all about, so if anyone is into challenges like this, feel free to chime in.

Kernel Panics often - can anyone decipher error message?
Hi, I am running a MacBook Pro 17" mid 2009 with Yosemite (connected to an Cinema Display)
2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8gb 1333 MHz DDR3
SSD Drive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256mb
I work often in Adobe software, and I typically keep iTunes running playing music connected via Airplay to external speakers.
Lately I have been getting the black screen and the resulting error report. I am not tech-savvy enough to be able to decipher this report.
Does anyone know what this report is telling me? Looks like something with iTunes possiibly?
Any advice? I really don't even know where to begin looking for help - and I live hours away from the closest Apple store. There is a BestBuy with an Apple section and rep, but I don't think they offer comparable help.
Thanks so much!

Thunderbolt Bus:Ok, thanks again! I am confused why my Mac tells me I can use 1333 Mhz DDR3 memory, when you are telling me I need to use 1067 MHx SDRAM?
Is there something I am missing or doing wrong here? Could the RAM I have in there now have gone "bad" somehow?
Sorry for confusion - I do appreciate your help - I'm just trying to understand and make sure this is the issue before I spend more money.
I also realized this morning that I had less than 10% free space on my hard drive, so I fixed that ... I know sometimes that causes issues.
Thanks again! -
i have a ipad mini , ios version 8.3 .... i am not able to download any app currently on my ipad.... i am not able to figure out the problem , it shows the app is loading in app store , but its never getting downloaded....how do i fix this problem ??? can someone please figure it out ???
Welcome to the Apple Community.
When your account becomes disabled, Apple provides the following recommendation:
"This message means that someone tried and failed to sign in to your account multiple times. The Apple ID system disables the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You need to reset your password, following the instructions at the Apple ID website".
Visit iForgot.com and follow the instructions there.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support -
Can someone explain this for me
I seem to have a lot of this:
Oa5be5e7f662a83c57d57ef0021le95p66fb3ba41.xml Then under kind is XML.TXT
When I go to open this it opens in "Open Office" and then is a bunch of jibberish.
1. can I get rid of it?
2. How can I take Open Office off this computer.
ThanksHi Marty
Kernal panics are usually attributed to hardware problems.
If you are under Applecare take it in.
If you are not, you may glean some information from these links.

Can someone confirm this for me?
Can someone try running ISOBuster 1.1? (http://www.isobuster.com) Without a BSOD of NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS?
How about Windows Component Update? Without a BSOD of the same error?
It seems this stupid BSOD plagues me and keeps me from installing Visual Studio.
I've tried the Registry Tweak and it still happens.
I've tried different BIOS's with clean installs.
I've tried different drivers with those different BIOS's with clean installs.
I'm stumped and sad...Have you recently installed a new virus scanner?
Winntmag has this to say : http://www.winntmag.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=3396
NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS 0x35
With this code, if you've added a new virus scanner or someone has accessed a shared volume over the network for the first time on the machine, the Server device driver can be at fault. The Server device driver constructs I/O request packets with a slot for every device driver on the path to the disk. Sometimes the number of I/O request packets the Server device driver allocates is insufficient, resulting in this Stop Code. Try increasing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ServicesLanmanServer\IrpStackSize setting to a number higher than 4 (or whatever it's set to) and see whether the problem goes away -
Can Someone Answer This For Me?!?!
i got the kin one 3 days ago...i dont really like it that much because i cant view videos or download apps or really do anything that a smartphone should do and it is costing my parents $30 dollars extra a month for nothing basically. My question is that can i take the phone back and exchange it for a new one? Isn't there like a 30 day exchange or something with Verizon? I need to know this soon thank you for taking the time and reading this and answering it.
You have 30 days to return the phone, and your account will return to the status it was before you upgraded. Or you can exchange the phone for another - but you are only allowed one exchange, so make sure the second one is the one you really want,as that's the one you will keep.

com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily 1.3.0A crash generally (not always) is due to some problematic software, and that software is usually something the user (you) installs. In this case you added some stuff that added a bunch of drivers (kexts) to your system. From your above crash display:
com.devguru.driver.SamsungACMData 1.2.32
com.huawei.driver.HuaweiDataCardActivateDriver 1.0.2
com.huawei.driver.HuaweiDataCardDriver 4.12.00
com.huawei.driver.HuaweiDataCardECMData 1.14.00
com.huawei.driver.HuaweiDataCardECMControl 1.13.00
com.huawei.driver.HuaweiDataCardACMData 4.02.00
Those become the immediate first suspects which should be uninstalled to see if they are the cause of the crash because kexts can easily crash your system due to the environment they run in. In the above list there appears to be two pieces of software you installed to produce that list; the huawei stuff and the devguru stuff.
So it was suggested above they first uninstall the huawei stuff to see if you still crash. If you don't then uninstall the devguru stuff. Hopefully you won't crash and maybe you could reinstall the huawei stuff.
Also hopefully that software comes with its own uninstallers.

I don't know if it's a iCloud topic, but I already checked there and noone replied. A .numbers file of mine disappeared on my iCloud... or better: suddenly I could not open that any more. There's a (corrupted?) folder with a .plist file and .db file.
