Kernel SMP Devel Package for OEL 4,7

Hi,
Can someone point me the location/url from where I can download the below package :
kernel-smp-devel-2.6.9-78.0.13.0.1.EL.x86_64.rpm
I am looking for this specfic package for kernel version 2.6.9-78.0.13.0.1.
Thanks and Regards
Anoop

Hi,
Actually I open the http://public-yum.oracle.com/ in IE and went to the location mentioned in :
http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-el4.repo
But could't find it there, actually repository still has old kernel kernel-smp-devel-2.6.9-78.0.0.0.1.EL.x86_64.rpm.
But I need the kernel - kernel-smp-devel-2.6.9-78.0.13.0.1.EL.x86_64.rpm
Please let me know, if anyone has any idea.

  • How would I create kernel devel package for OVM3.2.1 ?

    I am new to OVM SDK ..Please help me to understand how to create kernel devel package for OVM3.2.1 ?
    I tried below command "rpmbuild --rebuild kernel-uek...src.rpm" on my OEL5.9 machine. It throw few errors w.r.t KaBI checks fails.
    Is there hard rule to run above command only on OVM 3.2.1 SDK template ? I am going to try that now, but it will be good to know limitation/assumption on OVM 3.2.1.
    Is there any simplest method to get kernel devels/headers for OVM3.2.1 ?

    Thanks JB. It works like a charm. I earlier doubt the same, but real pain was to get gcc,rpm utils without ULN access. I used oel5_latest repo to get gcc and other supported utils. Everything works as expected.
    Just for info to help others... Below are the list of package required.

  • ULN oracle-validated, Note 761566.1 and database packages for OEL 5.5

    I purchased the ULN to simiplify installing the packages for an Oracle E-Business installation. I'm assuming the oracle-validated is not for E-Business installation because there were several required packages from note 761566.1 that were not installed The note also has a list of 11.1.0.7 required packages. Not all of these were installed with the oracle-validated update either. Maybe i'm not doing it correctly?
    If so, how do you use the oracle-validated to apply all the required packages. What channels do I subscribe to for the oracle-validated to work correctly.
    I am on OEL 5.5
    I am subscribed to two channels the latest for 5.5 and 5.5 x64 per a previous thread.
    Packages listed in note 761566.1 that I'm having trouble with:
    There are 3 parts to the package installation section.
    1. You have to go to http://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/files/Enterprise_Linux to get a couple packages not on the OEL installation disk. Are these also on the ULN update someplace?

    2. A list of packages for release 5 and up
    There were more than this not updated from oracle-validated from the ULN but these are the trouble ones:

    I would have thought at least these packages would have installed from the oracle-validated update, but they weren't. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
    The following are listed in the note to be installed: I get stuck in a loop with this one too. What do I do about this?

    Hello everyone,
    Where can I get an AIDE package for our Oracle Enterprise Linux 4? AIDE is the open-source equivalent of Tripwire.
    I could compile from source but if there's a package it will easier :)
    Thanks!

    I found aide package in EL5(aide-0.12-7.i386.rpm) and EL5U1(aide-0.13.1-2.0.4.el5.i386.rpm). and did not find it in EL4. :(

  • Oracle Linux 6.1 asm packages - oracleasm and oracleasmlib for OEL 6.1 ???

    Hello everyone
    I am not ULN subscriber, I am trying to learn Oracle ASM/RAC at work.
    I am running OEL 6.1 (uname -rm output is: 2.6.32-100.34.1.el6uek.x86_64)
    I am looking for two ASM support libraries which are compatible with above Oracle Linux 6.1 X64
    Specifically this article refers to 2 packages I need for ASM support:
    http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/OracleDB11gR2RACInstallationOnOEL5UsingVirtualBox.php
    •oracleasmlib-2.0.4-1.el5.x86_64.rpm -- I need this one
    •oracleasm-support-2.1.3-1.el5.x86_64.rpm -- this package is now already installed on OEL 6.1 so I dont need this one for OEL 6.1
    •oracleasm-2.6.18-164.el5-2.0.5-1.el5.x86_64.rpm -- I need this one
    Can anyone direct me to a download link for the above two packages? Even if its from RHEL6.1 as long as it works?
    Or does it mean that I must pay Oracle in order to be able to get these packages in order to learn ASM at home ??
    Why would Oracle allow us to use their RDBMS/RAC/ASM/Linux software at home learning for free and not supply the above two packages??
    thanks

    Why would Oracle allow us to use their RDBMS/RAC/ASM/Linux software at home learning for free and not supply the above two packages??If you want to use ASM for free, install Oracle Linux 5 Update 7 and download the RHEL5 oracleasmlib package from here:

    Keep in mind that Database is NOT certified on Oracle Linux 6 anyway, so it is challenging to install. The very article you link to uses Oracle Linux 5. It also links to these very same RPMs. If you follow the article more carefully, you won't have any issues.

  • Unionfs and squashfs module packages for beyond kernel

    It's nice to see a unionfs package for the latest beyond kernel has appeared - as it hadn't been included in the kernel package (beyond4-1).
    Previous beyond kernels included the module.
    It's puzzling to see a squashfs package for the latest beyond kernel, as this module is still supplied in the kernel package.
    Could someone please clarify the situation ... what is actually intended?
    iphitus? phrakture?

    yeah, i accidentally left it out, a file management error.
    beyond4.1 has it, and ought to hit the repos tonight. we'll clear squashfs up too.

  • Help needed: making a psptoolchain package for arch

    Hi....
    I'm very new to archlinux (now using it for 3 weeks), but I really like it
    Now I tried to make a archlinux package for the psptoolchain (PSP's are so nice )
    I already got a working package for the psp-gcc and the psp-binutils (wrote my own PKGBUILD's) which came with the psptoolchain.
    But now I got stuck with psp-newlib and pspsdk.
    At the moment I'm building all the packages separately, but later I'll try to make one package for the whole psptoolchain....
    So here comes my problem with psp-newlib and pspsdk...
    psp-gcc -march=i686 -O2 -pipe -G0 -Wall -I../../src/base -I../../src/kernel -c sceAtrac3plus.S
    sceAtrac3plus.S:0: error: bad value (i686) for -march

    ==> ERROR: Build Failed. Aborting...
    And here comes my PKGBUILD for psp-newlib:
    # Contributor: [email protected]
    pkgname=newlib
    pkgver=1.13.0
    pkgrel=1
    pkgdesc="GCC for psp-devel"
    url="http://ps2dev.org/psp/Tools/Toolchain/"
    depends=()
    makedepends=()
    source=(ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/newlib/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz)

    build() {
    export PSPDEV="/usr/local/pspdev"
    export PATH="$PATH:$PSPDEV/bin"
    cp $startdir/newlib-1.13.0.patch /$startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    cat newlib-1.13.0.patch | patch -p1
    cd /$startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
    BUILDDIR="/tmp/pspdev" PSPDEV="/usr/local/pspdev" ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pspdev --target=psp
    make || return 1
    make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
    I know, using newlib as pkgname is bad, but later I'll change it to psp-newlib and I'll replace the $pkgname's with newlib (I hope this idea isn't too bad)
    One last thing: psp-binutils and psp-gcc are installed in "/usr/local/pspdev"
    I hope you can help me
    thanks, and have a nice day
    XazZ

    After a long break I decided to work on the PKGBUILD again.
    Now I got two PKGBUILD's: one for the psptoolchain and one for pspsdk (pspsdk gets updated very often, so I decided to create an extra PKGBUILD).
    I'm not sure if my PKGBUILD's fit the PKGBUILD-standard
    First thing before I post my PKGBUILD's: I'm not finished with adding all required fields (as license and so on)!
    Here comes the one for psptoolchain:

    And here the one for pspsdk:
    pkgname=pspsdk

    pkgdesc="A collection of Open Source tools and libraries written for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP)."

    ./configure --prefix=$startdir/pkg/usr/local/pspdev -with-pspdev=/usr/local/pspdev
    make || return 1
    make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
    Some explanation: I've used this one very often: --prefix=$startdir/pkg/usr/local/pspdev
    Explanation: When I wanted to create only one PKGBUILD for the psptoolchain, some dependences were in $startdir/pkg. If you take  --prefix=/usr/local/pspdev he won't get some depencies (mostly header files), which means I had to create single PKGBUILD's for every part of the psptoolchain (that would be 6 single parts).
    Those --prefix-changes don't stop my psp environment from working! (tested it myself - I comiled almos all sample apps which were included in the pspsdk - and all compiled well)
    I hope we can find a better solution than mine.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to find a package for SAPLUP:700

    Hello everyone,
    I am creating new sandbox, and i have Windows server 2003 and sql server 2005.
    I am doing it by system copy (import export)
    While exporting it asks for SAPLUP:700. which SL controller but i am unable to find SL controller as per mentioned requirement can someone help me.

    Hi Dharmendra,
    You need the SL CONTROLLER 700 and probably also SL CONTROLLER 721 packages for SWPM SP06, in addition to the 721 kernel.  You can obtain them from http://service.sap.com/swdc -> Installations and Upgrades -> Browse our Download Catalog -> SAP Technology Components -> SL TOOLSET -> SL TOOLSET 1.0 -> Kernel for installation/SWPM -> SAP KERNEL <version, e.g. 7.21 EXT 64-BIT UC> -> Installation -> Microsoft Windows.  Download both 51048285_5 (SL CONTROLLER 700 for SWPM SP06) and 51048285_6 (SL CONTROLLER 721 for SWPM SP06).  Note that the "Download Object" name (the 5104xxxx) may change, depending on which kernel version you are downloading, but the "Title" will remain the same.

    Hi Chris,
    THank for your reply.. My requirement is I am planning to upgrade my Server OS from OEL 5U8/5U3 servers to OEL 6U4. And we are using timesten application 11.2.1 version as of now. So wanted to check if the same version of TImesten can we install them on OEL 6U4 . if we can install it successfully what are the dependent RPM packages we need to consider for installing the timesten application and will there be any issues using the application? .
    Is timesten 11.2.2 is the officially supported and stable version on OEL6U4?
    And also can you suggest me if I want to check other applications dependency like rhino-2.3 and postgres 8.1.23 version how I need to check if this applications versions are certified to run on OEL 6U4.

    BP ERP05 BUYER 1.41
    BP ERP05 HR ADMINISTRATOR 1.11
    ....few others

  • SAR for oel

    Hi all,
    I run the command "sar" and "mpstat" for oel but its command not found.
    What is the counterpart of these commands please....
    Thanks

    I run the command "sar" and "mpstat" for oel but its command not found.Both sar and mpstat can be found in the sysstat package, so try this to install the package on Oracle Linux 5:
    # up2date -u sysstat This requires your server to be registered with ULN. If you do not have a ULN subscription, follow the instructions at http://public-yum.oracle.com to configure yum first. Once you've configured yum, you can use:
    # yum install sysstat This last command is also used for Oracle Linux 6 registered to ULN (as we use yum for ULN from OL6).

  • Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

    Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
    1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
    2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
    Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.
    Thanks.

    Hi Alejandro,
    That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?
    I am sorry that I asked many questions but these are the problems where I am stuck with the addon installer?
    Thanks
