Key field not available in report

Hi,
I have a DSO and in that I have 1 key field and 20 data fields.
I was able to load the data successfully in the DSO. And I am creating a report based on this DSO.
But when I create a report, I was unable to view the key field in the report.
I went to the query designer and checked, I could not see that particular key field also in my query designer, I could only see the data fields.
Could someone please guide me in this regard???

Hi,
Please uncheck the Attribute only check box in the General tab of that Keyfield info Object.
If any info Object checked as Attribute only then those objects wont display in the Query Designer.

I have a cube and data loaded into it.Now i came to know that one request is having wrong data and need to be deleted,without deleting I did reverse posting.Now that particular data(means new data) is not available in reporting.The reporting symbol in request(manage tab) is not available for this request.
Now what should I do,in order to get new data in reporting.

Hi Experts,
I created a new Contract Type in one client A, copying the contract type settings from another client B. The config in client B is working. However, when I try testing my new Contract Type in client A, the Sold/Ship-to-Party fields not available (greyed out).
What config did I miss?

PPTP "MPPE required, but keys are not available"

Dear all
Since last reboot of my server I got following errormessage in VPN Logfile when user tries to connect to the server trough PPTP:
MPPE required, but keys are not available. Possible plugin problem?
Anyone have an idea, what could be wrong ?
May as another information: After restart of the server I had problem, that VPN Server was not started, because the L2TP definitions where not correct... Logfile told me. So I have redefined the PPTP and L2TP setting, but disabled the L2TP login, because I have definied this "only" for test purposes. All definitions where made with Server Administrator.
Before restart of Server Login trough PPTP was working quite well...
I forgott to say, that the Server (Leopard 10.5.1) is an OD Master, which is working quite well (until now). The authentication type for PPTP is set to MS-CHAP (Kerberos is grayed out, I don't know why)

authenticate as your admin and then if it does not give an error you should be all set.

Hi,
I have checked the info object and it is BEx enabled.
I am not able to see another 2 characteristics as well in query designer while creating the query.
I can view two sections, i.e. Key Figures and Dimensions.
And I am creating a report on DSO not in a cube.

I have installed Crystal Reports XI Developer version but in my Field Explorer I dont see SQL Expression Fields tab or item. Did I miss installing any perticular component? I can see the formulla fields but not SQL Expression Fields....

V361 is mistaken, SQL Expression fields are available in CRXI.
As with previous versions though, it turns off depending upon the type of database and connectivity used.
Try using a real SQL database, or if MS Access, set up an ODBC connection to the database.
In the future include your database in your post to avoid guess work on our part.

Particular vender number data not showing in report but its available in Data target.

Check if you have any additional restrictions in the report which are filtering out the vendor numbers.
If you are using a master data object make sure the master data is activated.
Also check the assignment for the vendor infoobject in the data target/multiprovider.

Contract Currency Field not available for input

Dear experts,
I am configuring RE-FX in SAP ECC 6.0 and when i try to create a contract with a currency different from the company code local currency, the contract currency field is not available for input even though in the field status, it is checked as available for input. I want to be able to use a currency for my contracts different from my local currency. Also, havent yet made any changes to the standard field status settings.

Hi Severina,
different currencies for RE-FX are introduced with Enhancement Package 2. Therefore you have to implement this enhancement package and activate the business function for Real Estate and the appropriate subfunction to be able to use different currencies.

I have made certain tables(Main, Flat,QT) remote key enabled. but when i m trying to import data remote key field in the destination side doesn't come up. Remote sys is of type Inbound/Outbound. Please let me know in case any one can provide any link to this.

There are 2 steps to get the remote key in the Import Manager destination side. One is to ensure that the key mapping is set to YES in Console ( which I guess you have already done). And the other is while Opening import Manager, choose the Remote system in the Connect to Source screen.i.e Mention the remote system name in the Remote System in the Import Manager dialog Box. This would get you the remote key on the destination side, that you are looking out for.

VisualReportsSaveCube project 2013 user defined fields not available

Hi all,
when buildung the cube without vb I can access all userdefined fields in the report.7
When I use the VisualReportsSaveCube method no userdefined fields are in the cube. What is going wrong?
Goal is to build an Excelreport showing Resource Utilization over time with some userdefined fields for filtering.

Foreign key fields not getting populated in datacontrol palette for EJB app

Hi,
I am quite new to ADF and EJB.I developed a jdeveloper application with JSF and EJB tiers.(I am using jdeveloper 10.1.3.5)
For database the default HR database is used.I created the entities for the EMPLOYEES and DEPARTMENTS table.
I also created a session bean and a data control for the session bean.
I am having a JSF page that receives all the details of a new Employee and insert into database (i.e persistEntity)
But the Employees constructor from the Data control palette is not populating the MANAGERID and DEPARTMENTID fields which are
the foreign key constraints for the EMPLOYEES table and hence while trying to persist the entity
with the auto populated fields an error message is thrown.
If I used ADF BC instead of EJB then i could populate all the fields including MANAGERID and DEPARTMENTID.
Is it possible to have two text fields for Manager and Department in the jsf to insert the Employee details with EJB as the Model?.
If possible how do I bind the values of these fields to the Employees entity object in EJB.
Kindly need your insights on this.

How are you using MANAGER_ID and DEPARTMENT_ID fields, are they exposed as Long (or some other numeric type), or did you map them on the entity, something like this
@ManyToOne
private Employee manager; // this by default uses the column named MANAGER_ID
@ManyToOne
private Department department; // this by default uses the column named DEPARTMENT_ID
.... If you mapped them (which is the right way), when you create an employee you should set these attributes before persisting the entity, by using employee.setManager(manager) and employee.setDepartment(department). Then, the foreign keys get populated automatically by your persistence provider (Toplink).
If you are using data controls, it is a little different process to set the department and manager, but you should take a look at this tutorial http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/ps1/ejb/ejb.html , it will hopefully answer a lot of your questions.

Chart Expert - Why are some formula fields not available?

I have a report where I had to do Running Totals with formulas. Following what I learned long ago from the documentation, I laid in my formulas, and then setup some "Display" formulas to print out the results at the end of my report.
Now I am adding a chart to show a sort of 'summarized' version of the report - its a simple Pie chart...
But when I go into the Chart Expert and want to select those Display formula fields (there are 4 of them) - they do not appear in the list?
FYI - These four Display formulas are in the Report Footer of the report, and my chart is in the Report Header.
Why do some of my formula fields appear in the Chart Expert "select field" list - while others do not?
I checked the documentation on this, but it is very "lite" and does not indicate why this might be...
Any help is most appreciated!

Read again - "Problem has been circumvented" NOT "worked around". In other words, when you pay a fortune for a poorly documented piece of software and you are dependent on answers from a Forum, where at times no one answers your question(s) and your boss is shouting at you as to how you selected such a lousy piece of software with such "lite" documentation and is hardly going to pay any more money for a support call to answer a simple question that should have been covered (and then some) in the documentation, (let alone support of the problem) - you CIRCUMVENT, i.e. give up and find some other way to do what you were trying to do.
Hence, problem circumvented, NOT worked around.

For some company codes the data is not executed for the report S_ALR_87013604. We have three controlling area and assigned with compnay codes. only a few company code are excuting data. Is this a chance of inactive profitanalysis for some company codes in OKKP.

Please find the below information on the report:
This report enables you to compare the costs posted on the individual cost elements with the expenses recorded in Financial Accounting.
In the report you can search for those accounts for which a reconciliation between Financial Accounting and Controlling is required. Reconciliation is necessary, for example, if you have executed a cross-company code allocation within CO.
The report only displays the accounts that require reconciliation. The system uses the group currency as the report currency.

Regarding planning data not available in reports

In my reports I'm populating actual data and planning data.But as of now we have only actual data display's in our report.what we are doing is we are populating data in BW and analysing on the base of the product cutomer (compounded) combination which is coming from r/3.(groups and sub-groups which we are entering at r/3 )
So our report shows us on the base of groups and sub groups which we are entering at r/3 level.That all is working fine but our customer wants that planning data is also displays in the reports as of now it is showing not assigned values in report.
so my question is ,To display planning data for group and sub groups provided by r/3 on the basis of product and customer (though other reports are showing planning data) , I know that I need to include this compounded infoobject in bps cubes but shall I also need to consider this in the BPS functions?I'm confused here and not sure about this.
And is that mandatory to have that componded infoobject mapped from underlying ods for customer.Because as of now planning cube is only updated with BPS functions?
Could you pls advice?

Hi Rubane
If the actuals and planning data are in seperate cubes then you will need to create a multi over both cubes to report on them together. However your BPS planning must be done against the same infoobject for you to be able to report on them together. If you are planning against the same IO the groupings from R3 will apply.
Also include the infoobject 0REQUID as a characteristic restriction and restrict it to variable 0S_RQMRC (Most Current Data)
