Key figure in selection screen

Hi
Is there a way where we can have a keyfigure as selection. Meaning when i open or refresh a query it should promt me to enter the Keyfigure value.Also let me know if it is not pssible

As per my knowledge we can give the Key figure for variable entry.
How ever we can higlight or restrict the key figures.
just have a look @ the following URL

Mandatory Variable in Key Figure(new selection) does not give Input Screen

Hi,
I have created a query based on a Multiprovider, which uses 0FIGL_C10 & one target DSO.
In colums I was trying to create one new selection type key figure using 0BALANCE infoobject, restricted it by 0FISCYEAR using one mandatory variable. When I am executing this query fiscal year variable is not asking for any value as input.
Being it a mandatory variable it should ask for some input, which is not happening.
Please suggest if I am missing something here or there is some problem with the SAP.

Only making a variable mandatory will not make it input enabled...it should be also " Variable ready for input" then only you will get input screen.

Display key in the selection screen and Key & Text in the report

Hi,
For the infoobject in the query,
In the variable selection screen When i want to select any value it should display only key, and in the report i want to display key and text of that infoobject.
Is it possible?

In the dropdown box below, you can select the type of text you want to use if you set a display type that contains text. The following options are available:

Key Figures in variable screen, to limit start up key figures

Dear experts,
This is BI 7 and the report / query is in portal.
my query has 40 key figures. 5 is shown and 35 are hidden but can be shown.
The user request that they can use a selection screen to pick up which key figures they want when the reports are executed. 5 keyfigures that I defined are considered "static" and each users has their own "set of key figures".
So I need flexibility to give users option, that they can "preselected" some key figures before they executed the report.

Restricted Key Figure (Maximum Selection)

HI ,
I need to populate a field to compute by order group.
I have created a restricted key figure with Value and Order ( Constant Selection).
Apart from Order, i need to drag drop many other characteristic fields from BEX-Row into this RKF and define it as Constant Selection. This will help me to compute the value by order group.
Max charateristic that i can drag drop within a RKF is abt 15.
Is there a limit to this?
Appreciate input from anyone who is familiar with this.

I dont think there is restriction on the number of Char that can be included for restriction while creating a Restricted KF ,

Query desginer Key Figure and Selections

Hi,
I have the following requirement:
1. I have a structure in the rows part og the QD.
2. Now, there are 5 selections created under that structure.
3. Each selection has 2 more Key Figures added to them.
Say, it will look as follows:

What is meant by selection here? If you mean selection as characteric then for your information you can only create 2 structures in QD. one for characteristc and one for KF

Selection Key Figures and Key Figures

I am building a query and I need to combine Key Figures and Selected Key Figures so that they appear on the same row. However, when I try to do this I get a message that you cannot put the elements in the same structure. However, if I put in different structures they will not be aligned. How can I overcome? Thanks

if i undertd your issue correctly..u have one KF struxture and one characteristic structure.In characteristic structure,u r having restricted characteristics and u r tyring to have a KF in char structure???if so,it is not possible..where exactly u r getting error?it will not allow you to drag and drop Kefigure into Query deisgner except into KF structure..
in char structure,if u r gng with new selection,u will not have option to select any KFs.
it could be better if u provide an example rather than explaining theoritically.
please note that u cant have a KF in characteristic structure .u can have a char in KF strcucture with a KF combination i.e. Restricted KF.

Restricting key figures

Hello Experts,
I am trying to restrict a key figure by a master data value. This value exists in master data but not in transaction data in the cube. When I try to restrict by this value on a key figure, the selectable restriction values do not show this value as a selection. I think its due to it not in cube transaction data. But does this mean its not possible to have a keyfigure restricted to master data values not found in fact table? I need this be done so that in future loads, when transaction data containing/refering to this master data value is loaded can be shown in the columns. That means, even if now, there is no transaction data containing this value, I still want to show the column as blank.
Pls throw me some hints.

Hello,
I checked the infoobject and its BEx settings for query definition & execution filter value selections are all set to values in master data. Also, the filter section / selection condition screen, in the query definition, shows that 'only values in infoprovider' is not selected.
Yet, I could not restrict to all of the values.
I had reactivated the infoobject and there was no change run detected by system. So, I am not sure if I am missing something. Yes, I have experienced restricting by values in master data before but in this case, I cannot.

Hi,
After completing your executable program in SE38, activate it and goto SE51(Screen painter).
Here give the name of your program and screen number as 1000.
Click on Change.
Goto Element List Tab.
Here you will find all your elements from your program.
Select the required element and click on Properties.
Here you will find a Tooltip Text property. Click on the button 'Text' of this property.
You will be given 2 options 1) Text from Text element 2) Text from Variable
Enter as per requirement
Save and Activate.

Problem while hide a block on selection screen on button press

Hi,
I have added two buttons on the application toolbar of the selection screen. I have input fields under two blocks on the selection-screen. Initially the second block is hidden. If I press the button 1 the second block should be made visible.
For this to happen, I captured the button 1 click event using the following statement.
IF sscrfields-ucomm = 'FC01'.
Inside the if ... endif, I looped at the screen and made the second block visible. It was working fine.
loop at screen.
if screen-group4 = '013'.
 screen-invisible = 1.
 screen-active = 0.
endif.
endloop.
Later the second button was added. Now when i run the report for the first time, if button 2 is clicked the hidden block appears on the selection screen even though i have not added any code for it.
Just to check, i commented the logic to display the hidden block on button 1 click event. Even without any code the first time i press any of the two buttons added on the application toolbar the hidden block is displayed.
I saved a variant for the report.
During execution of the report, if i select any variant then the hidden block is displayed.
Can anyone please tell me how to fix this problem.

Need to display TEXT in web selection screen

HI All,
We are working on CRM-BW modeling. We have one field called "product" which will have key and medium text. We need to display both key + text in web reporting selection screen. When we ran first time text was not showing in web report. Then we found and change the configuration in search help in SE11 for that field. Then we can see the text+key combination in RSRT but still we can't see the text in web report selection screen...
Now what we have to do to display text in selection screen on web...
Please give your inputs ASAP.....we are in UAT phase....

Hi Arun,
For you case: Display key & text in selection screen.
In BW,
You can go to query designer, then you'll go to the info-object belong to the variable (selection-screen : product). Right-click, find for the properties, Then you'll see the option for display as.
Choose it for Key and text.
Then save it.
Go to the report, in the selection screen, when you're choosing for the help, you'll see the value displayed by key & text.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.

Problem with displaying key figures in report

Does anyone have experience with SAP Report Designer for Release 7.0. I want to display key figures in the following manner: 1'500 (Which means 1.500.000) For a billion the value displaye should be 1''000 (1.000.000.000).
1000 =     1.000
0'010 =     10.000
0'100 =     100.000
1'000 =     1.000.000
0''010 =     10.000.000
0''100 =     100.000.000
1''000 =     1.000.000.000
Thus the report always shows 4 digit figures. The problem is that I don't know how to include the apostophe as a separator for the million.
Additionaly to that I want to have the font changed to a smaller number, if the figure is to large for the column. Is there a possibity to change the display of the figure with the scaling? And is there a possibility to change the font? These two parameters have to be decided when running the report. (The scale of the numbers can differ within one column.)

there is two way to display the values , one is globally, where u do it the keyfigure and another way is on the query designer level
in keyfigure go to aggregation , there u will get the number display format , u can change there and another way is in the query designer right click on the key figure and select properties and select display format

Trouble with Non Cumulative Key Figures

Hi all of you,
I am working on Non Cumlative Key Figures, (NCKF). I have the data like this
Sales rep S100 visited SHOP S1 on 1st Jan and 10th Aug, and transacted worth 100 and 500
SHOP S2 on 1st Mar and 1st July and transacted worth 200 and 300
SHOP S3 on 3rd Sept. and transacted worth 400
Sales rep S200 visited SHOP S1 on 1st Jan and 1st Aug and transacted worth 100 and 300,
visited SHOP S2 on 1st April and transacted worth 200
I created Non Cumulative Key Figure in the following manners:
In modeling in InfoObjects I double clicked on my key figure BILLAMT and selected the Aggregation tab. I selected Counter (all values) for Exception aggregat. By default Agg. Referen. Char was 0calday. I then activated the info object and went to BEx. Here I took other IOs like Salesrep, Shop NUM and Dt. Of trans in rows and Bill amt in columns and executed the report. I am not getting the output how it should come for NON cumulative key figures.
But when I right click the key figure Bill Amount in BEx in change query mode and select properties. I go to the option Calculate result as and selected the option as Count all values. And in another option Calculate Single Value as I selected the option Count all values. I said OK, saved the query and executed it. Now the output is similar to how it comes for a Non Cumulative Key Figure query but I am unable to understand the output.
Now my doubt is where do we set the properties for Non Cumulative Key Figures? Is it in the Administrator Workbench under Modelling under InfoObjects?
OR
Is it in BEx change query mode by right clicking on the key figure and selecting properties?

As for the setting for Non Cumulative key figures...the default setting is done in the Key Figure properties, where u can define the Exception Aggregation. This property is used as such in the query, but if suppose u are getting the normal aggregation in the query , what you could do is "Create The Key Figure as Global Calculated Key Figure in Bex" and go to properties...click on the Button for aggregation ..select the aggregation and define with respt to 0CALDAY ..here.
