Key photo image in Album View too small

I imported a small Aperture Library into Photos to test things out. One thing I notice is that in Album View, the key photo for a folder is very small.
Here is an example:
I have tried making another photo the Key Photo, and switching back. They are always small. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I don't consider this a feature request. In the default Photos library, the key photo in Album view fills the whole square. But for a library that was created from an Aperture library, the key photo does not fill the whole square.
Is this a bug, or is there something I can do to make the key photo larger?

Can't delete photos in smart album view

Assuming we all know how smart albums work, let's jump to why I can't delete a photo from a smart album. In all other views, it seems, I can delete images. When I'm scanning through 500 pictures tagged with Christmas in my Christmas Smart Album and come across one I want to delete, I can't do so. What's worse, going back to Photos view and trying to find that picture to delete it is almost impossible when you're looking through a library of 6,000 images.
Am I missing something? Do I really have to find a work around for this? Why has Apple left out DELETE from Smart Albums?

To delete a photo that's in a smart album you need to use the CommandOptionDelete key combination to move it to the trash. If you just want to remove the photo from the album you will need to change on that photo the feature that the smart album is set to look for.

Can I view a photo's date while in Album view? I would then like to be able to change the date in that view (I don't think this is possible).

there are three displays in photos page:
1) thumbnails grid - smallest
2) deatial view and detail view slideshow - large
3a) pop-up slideshow - vary - this is slideshow.html
3b) or iphone/ipad slideshow phoneshow.html - iphone/ipad can't do pop-up
it's difficult to know which you refer to.
if you refer to pop-up slideshow then you should not look into iwebmediagrid.js as wyodor suggested.
instead look in phoneshow.html and change width and heigth of element id slideshow:

Font in Help Viewer too small, does not enlarge

In OSX Lion on my new MBP 15" Retina, the Help Viewer text is too small, and it won't change when I use the menu or Cmd + to change it.
Images in Help Viewer get big or small, as they're supposed to, but the text remains the same size.
Can you help?

Select key photo for iOS albums synced with iPhoto on Mac

In iOS 7, if a user was syncing photos from iPhoto on a Mac to an iOS device, it was possible to choose what key photo would be displayed for each synced album in the Photos app on the iOS device. In iOS 8, this seems to have been removed, and when syncing, a random photo is now selected for each album instead, which doesn't seem possible to change.
Has anyone been able to find a solution/workaround to this?
I'm guessing/hoping control will be restored to the user when the new Photos app is released for Mac OS X Yosemite, but any feedback will be useful.

Same issue. Ever since upgrading to iPhoto on my retina MBP to 9.4.2. Problem seen with BOTH my iPhone 5 on iOS 6.0.1 AND iPhone 4S on 5.1.1, so not an iOS issue. For me, it impacts both albums and events. In fact, sometimes you can't even see the event under iTunes->device->photo tab, until you exit iPhoto & iTunes and restart both with phone plugged in. There is a workaround for the album's mis-order: by manually sorting photos through dragging a photo to a new location within the album and then placing it back. However, this doesn't work for mis-ordered photos under events. Right now, I just have to live with it.... I have even tried removing all photos, deleting iPod photo cache, and starting anew. Even 1 event with 30 photos have the same problem.....
Really annoying as I like to see my event photos sorted by date.
Somehow, such syncing problems always seem to occur EVERYTIME there's an iPhoto upgrade. Are apple's departments so siloed? Do they not work with one another to test a software before releasing it?
Apple, please investigate and fix the issue ASAP!

Is there anyway to organize icloud photo steams into abc order? and can you change the key photo image??? makes me crazy!

I am searching for ways to organize my photo streams...alphabetical preferably.
Also how do you change the key photo from something random that i did not choose to be the key photo (in the photo stream/icloud mode).

As far as I can see, sue, the shared Photo Streams will always show the photo last added as the key photo. So just make sure the last photo you add is a photo like to see as the key photo. I do no know of any method to arrange the photo streams alphabetically. My photo streams are neither shown in chronological order nor in the order I created them.

I am having trouble printing 4x6, 1" bottle cap images, they are printing too small

I have a new iMac and cannot get standard 1" bottlecap images to print to the correct size. They print slightly smaller than 1". They are printed on 4"x6" photo paper. I am selecting that size when I print. I also can print from photoshop. Thanks for any tips!

It seems that, embarrasingly I was tripple checking everything for 4x6 prints but actually had 5x7 loaded in the printer!

The genius bar did something to "enhance" my view screen. It left me with minimally viewable tool bars and views too small to read. HOW do I change it back to normal?

The tool bars are minimal, very small hard to see. The view screen on my MacBook Pro 17" leaves a lot of open space around what I'm viewing. I want it to fill the screen. In the present mode, you would never know I was working with a 12pt font, and you have to get on top of the computer to view the tool bars well.
Recent upgrade to Mountain Lion. No issues there, just need more discovery. Susan

System Preferences > Displays > ...
... and set the reolution back to the maximum.

Dreamweaver HTML Code view too small since Mac OS X 10.6.3

Has anyone run into this issue, since I loaded Snow Leopard my HTML code files viewed in Dreamweaver are so small and hard to read. The CSS files are just fine and a normal size. I have not found a way to increase the size of the view and that feature is not available - to zoom by percentage.
Dreamweaver HTML files are also small on my macbook.

Keyboard viewer too small

Does anyone know how to increase the font size, or just the size in general, of Keyboard Viewer?

If you click the Maximize button (the button in the top left with the + sign) it enlarges. Click again to shrink. AFAIK there are only the sizes of small and gigantic.

Image snapshot from webcam too small

Hi, I'm trying to create an application where I create a jpeg image of my webcam stream and then save it to the server using amfphp.
I've got it all working but the image is incredibly small even though I have explicitly set the image width and height.
This is my code:

I noticed I had this same problem when displaying the video in a videoDisplay component but I was able to fix the problem by explicitly stating the dimensions of the video, this time I am not so lucky...
If anyone can help me I would most appreciate it.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble that you are having with your application. In IMAQ 2.6, there were some issues with using the onboard scaling features in MAX. Sometimes this resulted in images looking improper in LabVIEW. I believe that this might be the problem that you are experiencing.
To remedy this problem, you can try uninstalling your current version of NI-IMAQ and installing a different version. As you mentioned in your post, this feature worked in a previous version of NI-IMAQ, so you could try installing this older version. Better yet, you could try installing NI-IMAQ 3.0 which was just released this week. NI-IMAQ 3.0 should correct any problems that you were having with scaling (please be aware that the NI-IMAQ 3.0 will have a new look
to it, and the scaling feature will now be enabled inside of LabVIEW instead inside of MAX. This will allow you to programmatically change scaling on your IMAQ hardware). Either one of these versions can be downloaded from the page linked below:

If you prefer not to change your version of the NI-IMAQ driver and you have IMAQ Vision installed on your machine, you can instead set your image to full size, and then use the IMAQ Extract VI to scale your image down to a smaller size. (To achieve 1/2 Scaling, use X Step=2 and Y Step=2).
Hopefully one of those options will correct the issue that you are seeing with your application.

Exported images are too small

I shoot in raw and when I export images to photo labs the size is too small. Instead of mb, the size is reduces to kb. I have export set for tiff 16 bit. What am I doing wrong?

Can't say without more information.
What command are you using to export?
What Export Preset are you selecting?
What are the settings in your selected Export Preset?
Presets and settings are listed at "Aperture→Presets→Image Export ...".

Setting key photo for iWeb photo album

This one's confusing me a little. I'm trying to select a key photo for my album in iWeb, but it keeps defaulting to the first photo in the album. I would've thought it would be similar to selecting a key photo for an event in iPhoto (i.e. just scrolling to the desired photo and hitting the space bar), but no go. Just wondering if anybody has figured out how to do it. Thanks

I think the iWeb programmers thought we would be excited enough by the mouse over feature of the albums.
You could send them feedback suggesting this feature for a future update as others have asked the same question.

Key Photo in Albums

Anyone figure out how to set the key photo when using Albums in iWeb? It appears to be very similar to the iPhoto web gallery, however I can not seem to figure out how to do it.

The first photo in the photo gallery is the key photo.
For the person that had the freeze up scrolling: you can turn of the effects and just have one photo show up as the album thumbnail.
I spent about 5 hours working in iWeb '08 replacing my home grown "album" type pages with Apple's new version. I have need for 8 album pages which theh have 6 to 8 photogalleries linked to them. I was in the process of moving the photos I wanted to be the key photo into the first slot when I saved out the file. The next day when I opened my file all of the album pages showed the thumbnails for a second or so and then they turn black. Some of the photos pages and blog pages are missing their photos as well. I am not happy. Fortunately I do have a back up Domain and a copy of iWeb '06 on another machine. But I don't appreciate working away for 5 hours, saving and then having nothing to show for it.
